13. She's drunk!

Zayn POV

Harry asked if I had alcohol and I said yes but I thought it would be better to have us go out. I didn't want to make Charlotte uncomfortable though so I looked for her input. She didn't mind so Eleanor whisked her off to get ready.

The boys and I got ready quickly and waited for them downstairs. Liam said that Danielle was going to call Eleanor with an update of her whereabouts. "What's taking them so long?" Louis complained.

"They're getting all fancied up and all of that," Harry replied using theatrical hand motions that made us all laugh. Eleanor came down the stairs in a beautiful pink dress, a minute later.

           "Where's Charlotte?" I asked worriedly.

"She'll be down in a moment. Zayn I think you should push her to become a model," Eleanor told me. I raised my eyebrows. "You'll see," She laughed when she saw my confused look.

"So which club are we going to?" Niall inquired. I shrugged.

"The one on the corner," Eleanor said pointing to her phone. "That's where Danielle is meeting us," and then Eleanor looked up and grinned towards the stairs. I followed her gaze and my breath was taken from me. Charlotte was coming down the stairs glamorously. She was wearing a strapless dress that was a mix of aqua and gold. Her hair contrasted the colors beautifully and I was left staring.

"I think I've died because your an angel," I whispered as she finished her descent. She looked away and towards Eleanor.

"I told you that you should be a model!" Eleanor laughed.

"Let's go!" Harry cheered, opening the door. Eleanor looped one arm through Charlotte's and her other hand intertwined with Louis'.

We walked toward the club that was convieniently located on the corner, about 1/2 a mile from my flat. I traveled alongside Niall, and behind Charlotte, Eleanor and Louis. "So you going to get drunk mate?" Niall asked me as we walked.

"Probably not tonight. I have to make sure she doesn't do anything too stupid," I replied, pointing to Charlotte. He laughed and nodded in agreement.

We got to the club and I went ahead to hold the door open for Charlotte. She took a look around and said, "I need a drink," before walking to the bar. I followed her and got a soda as she ordered a fruit margarita and a vodka shot.

"Ready to meet Danielle?" I asked her as she took a big sip of the margarita. "Pace yourself love," I smiled as I lead the way to the table where everyone was waiting. I introduced Charlotte to Danielle and Danielle instantly hugged Charlotte.

We all spread out between the table, bar, and dance floor. Charlotte ordered another margarita when hers was empty and I got a beer. "Let's play the competition!" Charlotte exclaimed when she saw the shot competition's going on at the bar.

"I don't think that's a good idea," I told her but she was already pulling me towards the bar. She sat at the empty stool and I stood behind her as the bar tender filled many shot glasses. She played and won three competitions.

"Will you dance with me?" She asked flirtaciously.

            "I don't think that's a good idea," I told her.

"Please?" She begged, grabbing my arm.

"Fine," I gave in and walked with her to the dance floor. We danced for a while. Then a slow dance came on and people began to leave the dance floor. Charlotte began walking off of the dance floor but I grabbed her hand and pulled her back to me. She laughed and wrapped her arms around my neck as I placed my hands on her waist.

When the slow dance ended we went back to dancing and even though she was drunk, Charlotte's smile was gorgeous. I walked off the dance floor about an hour later, pulling her with me to the table. "How often do you get drunk?" I asked her.

"Why?" She replied smiling and tracing my face with her finger.

"Just wondering. You just seem really cute and all, like it's your first time clubbing, and getting drunk with mates," I said and instantly knew it was a mistake.

"Whatever. However many times it doesn't even go into range of the amount of times where you've gotten drunk and had sex with numerous girls," She snapped at me and slid out of the booth.

"But they were one night stands Charlotte. How did you even find out?" I asked.

"Why do you care I found out? Don't you trust me?!" She yelled.

"Charlotte calm down love. I do trust you. I just didn't think we were sharing past love lifes!" I replied and cursed myself for saying the wrong thing again. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she turned and began stalk out of the place. I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me. She started to fight to get away from me but I smashed my lips against hers. She stopped trying to get away from me and placed her hands on my shoulders. "Those one night stands were because I was alone. And then I found you." I insisted when we pulled back from the kiss.

"Do you want to dance?" She whispered in my ear. I nodded and we walked back to the dance floor once again.

Around 1 o'clock Liam came over to me with a very drunk Danielle. "You ready to leave?" He asked. I nodded. We pulled Danielle and Charlotte off of the dance floor and to the table where we met the others.

All of us began the walk back to my flat. Charlotte started to shiver, even though it was warm out so I laughed and draped my coat over her shoulders. Even as we walked home Charlotte laughed at everything something said and it was good to see a smiling side of her.

She fell and twisted her ankle so I picked her up to carry her the rest of the way. "It really doesn't hurt," She pouted.

"Love, you are drunk and twisted your ankle. I am carrying you home," I said as a final decision. She laughed.

               "You're soo seriousss!" She giggled.

"Just lookin' out for you," I replied and continued the walk home. When we got inside I carried her all the way upstairs to my room. I noticed that even though she was drunk, she still gripped my arm feverishly. Gently I sat on the bed with her in my arms.

"Kiss me," She said. I shook my head in a smile. "Please!" She begged. I kissed her forehead. "That's not what I meant," She whispered pulling back.

"Here. Take your nightgown and change in the bathroom," I told her, handing her a white night gown Eleanor said was now Charlotte's. Giggling, she took the gown in her hands to put on the bed. She stood up and began to pull off her dress. I closed my eyes and turned away.

"I'll just wait outside," I said.

"Wait! You don't want to see me?" She asked in a hurt voice.

"Change first," I commanded her, not looking. I heard rustling and then she moved in front of me.

"You can open your eyes now," She whispered as she wrapped her arms around my neck and giggle. Charlotte tried to pull me down to her but I held my stance.

"Let's get you to bed," I told her, opening my eyes. It was a big mistake. I could swear that Eleanor was torturing me. The nightgown Charlotte was wearing was decent but showed off Charlotte's curves and cleavage. I forced myself to look Charlotte in the eyes and to remember that I had to be responsible.

"A kiss?" She requested pointing to her lips.

"You're drunk love. Maybe in the morning," I responded. She pressed herself against me and pulled my head down to hers a little.

"And now?" She whispered, her eyes set on mine. Slowly I leaned down to kiss her gently. I made it a quick kiss, something that I hoped she wouldn't regret in the morning. Then I picked her up and carried her back to the bed where I tucked her in tightly.

"Go to sleep love," I told her and kissed her forehead. She smiled and grabbed onto my shirt as I went back to the sleeping bag.

"There's more room," She padded the space next to her on the bed and pulled me down. Gently I removed her hands and retucked her.

"Not tonight Charlotte," I smiled and walked to my little sleeping bag and laid down, pulling the duvet over me. I saw Charlotte watching me and I laughed silently before closing my eyes to go to sleep.

In the morning I went to turn and I made contact with something. I opened my eyes and found that Charlotte lay sleeping next to me, curled in duvets. I wasn't sure when she had moved to the floor but I definitely did not need her going off on me for waking up on the floor. Slowly I got up and I gently picked Charlotte up. Still wrapped in the duvets, I placed her on the bed.

Then I left my room and went downstairs. Harry was passed out on the couch and Niall was throwing popcorn at him. "I hope you know you're cleaning that up mate," I told Niall. He nodded and grinned as he landed a piece in Harry's slack jaw.

The clock read 11:30 in the morning. We had to get to the arena at 2:30 which meant we only had a little bit of time. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water along with some Aspirin for Charlotte. As I went back up the stairs Harry was getting up and walking towards the kitchen.

I placed the water and Aspirin on the nightstand next to Charlotte while checking if she was still sleeping. I began to move away from the bed when Charlotte's hand enclosed on my wrist. "Come lay with me," Charlotte's voice reached my ears in a whisper. I sighed, unsure of what to do. "I'm not drunk but I want you to lay with me," She said tugging on my arm. I let her pull me towards her and sat on the edge.

Charlotte pulled me closer and I moved so that she was leaning against me and I stroked her hair softly. We stayed like that for about half an hour before I told her that we should get up. "We have to be at the arena in less then four hours," I said as I literally dragged her out of the bed.

"But my head hurts!" She complained. I shook my head and dropped her arm, heading to my dresser to look for clothes to rehearse in. Charlotte was still in the night gown and it was hard to tear my gaze away from her.

She left the room to get her own clothes so I changed. When I was done I made my way downstairs where I smelt French toast. "Is everyone awake?" I asked Niall who was tapping his foot anxiously on the floor. I was guessing he wanted food because he was very impatient at the moment.

"I think Danielle is still sleeping but everyone else is awake," He answered. I nodded and sat on the couch. "How's Charlotte?" Niall questioned.

"Very wanting and hard to say no to in the nightgown that Eleanor purchased for her," I complained. Niall started chuckling and I hit his arm. "At least we know Charlotte is a happy drunk...who easily gets mad." I argued with myself.

"How do you think tonight will go?" Niall inquired.

"I...don't know what to think. She keeps surprising me," I shrugged.

"Zayn..." I heard Charlotte's worried voice somewhere behind me. I turned and saw her eyes fixed on the door. She was gripping the banister for the stairs. I hopped up and made my way to her, blocking the front door.

"It's okay Charlotte." I soothed her, "Look at me love," I coaxed her. She shook her head, still looking at the door. "Okay then look at Niall. You are strong Charlotte. Stronger than a lot of people I know," I continued. A tear fell down her cheek as I took another step towards her.

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller,"
