Still the One {Sequel to Summer Love} *Finished*

Harry and Ali's relationship is going strong. Will it last when new obstacles threaten their strong relationship? (Might be a smart idea to read Summer Love to get the feel of what's happening in this story)

2. Follow Your Dreams

*Ali's P.O.V.*

"Oh just the coach of Westfield." My jaw dropped. It had been my dream to play on that team for AGES! Harry handed me a piece of paper with a phone number on it. I took out my phone and called the number. "Hello?" the coach, Chirs Lyons, answered. "Hi Mr. Lyons," I cheered. "Is this Alison Edwards?" he asked. "Yes sir." "Well how would you like to be on my team?" I exhaled as I thought about. "As much as I want to, and please don't take it personally, but I have to decline the offer." It pained my heart to turn down the offer of a lifetime. "If you don't mind me asking but why are you turning this down?" he asked. "Well I have to get surgery on my knees to fix them." "And what's wrong with that?" he asked. "I don't want to be a bum on a log before my fiance get married." "I understand I guess," he chuckled. "If you change your mind, you have my number," he said before he hung up. I sighed as I put my phone on the coffee table. "Really? You turned down your dream job for our wedding?" Harry asked in a shocked voice. "I think you are more important than a football," I smiled. "But babe-" "Harry just leave it!" I shouted. I didn't want to talk about it. I laid in bed processing my decision. Was Harry really more important than a dream I've had all my life?

I snuck out of the room to go to the gym. I always worked out when I was stressed. I got on the treadmill and started running. I had one headphone in my ear. I heard the door open but just ignored it. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a man about my age get on the treadmill. "Hi there," he smiled to me. "Hi," I replied, trying to focus. "What's your name?" the man asked. "Ali. What about you?" I thought if he wanted to start a conversation, might as well get to know his name. "Adam," he smiled to me ."Nice to meet you," I nodded to him. My phone went off so I paused the machine so I could see what Harry wanted. "Where are you at?" he asked. "Gym. I'm on my way back now," I quickly typed back. "K. If you aren't back in 5 im coming to check on you"

I got off the machine then got off the machine. "Leaving so soon?" Adam asked when he saw me picking up my stuff. "Yeah. It was nice meeting you though," I smiled. I walked back to the machine to get my water bottle. I heard his machine turn off then I felt a breath on the back of my neck. "You know, you're really beautiful," Adam whispered in my ear, his hand trailing up and down my body. "Get off of me," I spat at him. "Little feisty now are we?" he darkly chuckled. "Listen Adam I have a fiance and a daughter so will you please let me see them?" I asked. "I don't believe you," he said, turning me around. His eyes were dark and filled with mystery. He leaned in and kissed me. I tried to push him off of me but someone pulled him off.  I looked behind him to see Harry punching him. "Don't you dare touch my fiance!" he yelled in between punches. "Harry stop!" I cried. He did as I asked then walked to me. "You alright?" he asked me. I nodded. "Where's Darcy?" I asked. "Zayn's watching her," he said, trying to calm me. I started to let out tears full of fear. "Shhh. It's alright," he said as he hugged me. "Let's go back to bed," he whispered in my ear.

Back in the room, Harry and I cuddled in bed. We told Zayn to watch Darc for the rest of the night. "Do you need anything?" Harry asked me, moving a stray piece of my hair out of my face. I shook my head. I looked into Harry's eyes. They were light green and full of compassion. He wrapped his arm around my waist. "I love you," he told me, looking me straight in the eyes. "I love you too," I smiled through the tears. "I promise that I won't let anyone hurt you," he whispered. "I know babe," I whispered. "If you want, I can get you the best doctor to give you the surgery so you can heal quickly and painlessly." "Harry, if this is your way of trying to make me feel better, it's not working," I laughed. "I know but still. I think you deserve to follow your dreams like I did," he weakly smiled. "I'll think about it," I smiled as I cuddled into his chest. He stroked my hair and sang me to sleep. I had a lot of thinking to do.
