The first time Ava met Harry Styles. He was naked. She was naked.
After a house swop, Ava is left with the arrogant, egotistical but ever charming Harry Styles. Ava try's to resist against Harry's charm because no way is she gonna let herself fall for a player.

'That's where your wrong, sweet cheeks. The house is mine for 6 months' he bragged, his face inches away from hers. 'Besides I quite like the view from here'

Ava looked out the window.

'When I said the view I didn't mean the one outside' he whispered, his lips so close to hers. He surveyed her body and licked his lips. She stepped back, laughing loudly.

'Nice try, player' Ava sneered.

'Give me more credit then that. I'm not just a player, I'm the captain of the team' Harry winked, stepping forward to close the space between them. Ava gave a small smile before leaning in close to his face. She drew her face next to his ear.

'Nice to meet you captain, I'm the coach' she whispered before pulling her head away and leaving.

8. Safe and sound

*Ava's P.O.V*

Ava jammed the little silver key into the door behind her and frantically locked the door. Her beaten red car was her pride and joy. The little chick car was her very first car and she let no-one drive it.

Especially not reckless and irresponsible Harry Styles.

She ran, full pace, down three flights of stairs and leaped out of the door on the home floor. Her head was reeling but she recovered quickly and sprinted out to the small car park, owned by the apartment caretakers. There her scratched up, faded red car was awaiting her and to her disgust so was Harry.

Harry towered over the car, leaning against it with a smug grin on his face. She began to walk over to the car, her hand outstretched waiting for the keys. As soon as she moved, Harry flung the car door open and sat in the drivers seat. He wiggled his bum in the chair trying to find comfort, all the while his eyes never left Ava's. He was amused by the look of disgust and hatred that Ava wore.

She stormed up beside the door and pulled at the door handle. He had locked it from the inside, preventing her access into the car. She knocked furiously at the window. He laughed and gave a puzzled look before finding what he needed. He was searching for the automated windows button but instead had to settle with unwinding the creaky, tough crank to wind down the window.

He began unwinding until it was half way but Ava didn't stop knocking. She just brought her fist into the car and started attacking Harry's head. He began to wind the window up as a threat and she soon retreated.

'Get out of my car' Ava said sternly. 'No-one drives her except me!'

'Oh, so the car is a girl?' Harry snickered. Leaning further in the chair, pushing it back to its maximum recline.

'Please no!' she begged throwing her hand through the window and laying it on Harry's. 'She can't recline any further otherwise the seat breaks in half!'

Her hand still lay on top of Harry's and Harry was silent at her slight touch. Her hand's warmth seemed to make him feel tingly. She realised that she still had him in her grasp and she released her grip, her face tinging red. Harry did as she had said and put the chair back up to the sitting position.

'Put the claws away, kitty!' Harry purred, making slashing motions with his fingers. 'Im driving, get in or I go with out you'

Ava was about to begin her next round of protests before she caught sight of his piercing green eyes. Is it possible for his eyes to change colour. She could have sworn they had more of a blue tinge to them the day previous.

Her eyes connected with hers and suddenly she felt trusting of him. His sexy, green eyes threw her off guard and she nodded in reply. She rounded the car and sat beside him in the car. He beamed at the satisfaction of winning and started the car. She gave him a tentative small smile.

'Glad you got in the car' he laughed relieved. 'I was just about to call my own bluff and give you the drivers seat'

She gave him an exasperated look. If she could have just not given into his gorgeous eyes and sexy smile she would be driving this car right now. She rolled her eyes and turned away from him, staring aimlessly out the window. He chuckled and drew the car round in a circle, finding the exit. He turned out of the parking lot and on to a secluded road.

'Don't be like that' Harry jeered, sneaking a peek over at her pouty face. 'Im a safe driver. I'm not going to crash your car!'

'I know, this car just mean so much to me' Ava began, twiddling her thumbs in her lap. 'I haven't ever told anyone this but... OMG WHAT THAAAAAA'

Ava had released her gaze from her lap and caught sight of the view in front of her. A huge, lugging truck was hurling towards the car, on the same side of the road. It took her a couple of seconds before she realized it wasn't him driving on the wrong side. It was Harry.

Harry registered her surprise and fear set into his body. He was froze into position. The truck began furiously honking the horn which snapped Harry out of his temporary coma. Before he could swerve onto the other side of the road, Ava had Harry's hands clasped in her. This time the tingly feeling didn't return at her touch, instead he received her panic.

She pushed hard on the steering wheel, changing the direction of the car. As Harry pushed the other way to stay on the road, the car went on a spinning mania and ended up planting into a lamp post. The small car narrowly missed getting rolled over by the huge truck that now passed them. The truck driver stuck his hand out the window and while yelling abuse, flipped them off.

Harry was brought to life immediately and was freaking out but not for himself, for the person beside him. He shook the comatose passenger who was sat beside him. He was yelling for her to wake up, to respond, to do anything. He was so stricken with panic, that slow tears rolled down his cheeks. The bonnet before him was chugging out big, black clouds of smoke and he realized now would be a good time to get out of the car.

He rushed to Ava's side and unbuckled her belt. He slid his arms under her body and pulled her out, cradling her close to his chest. He placed her down under a tree which was next to the car scene. The whole while this was happening, Ava was unresponsive. She hadn't sustained many injuries. Her head was bleeding down the side and he could have sworn the light caught flecks of glass in her arm. She had a gash down her leg, which was gently trickling out blood.

Her eyes were fully open, but it was as if she didn't see at all. Her eyes recognized the scene but she wasn't living it. Harry had to abandon Ava as to flag down the ambulance, that was hurtling its way down the road, and screeched at a halt beside the car accident.

Ava turned her head slightly to acknowledge the happenings but didn't take it in. Angry memories were trying to worm there way through her brain. Memories she didn't want relived but couldn't shut them out much longer. Her head pulsed as she remembered six months ago. The night of the party.

'I warned you about that boy didn't I, Ava' her mother's shrill voice told her. 'I told you he was trouble. All guys like that want is...'

'Mom, I can do without the lecture' Ava whined, rolling her eyes as she stormed up past her parents and flung the door of the car open. She clambered into the back seat, looking sullen and grave. Her parents followed suit and climbed into the front seats. Her father claimed the driving side and her mother next to him.

'Young lady, what were you thinking?' Her dad joined in yelling at her. 'I expected better of you'

Her father pulled on the clutch and the car rolled forward, before taking off, leaving the party scene behind her. A quick glance back, revealed a guy with a tongue down a girls throat. The same guy who just had been making out with Ava. She turned herself back to the front, wishing away the tears brimming in her eyes. Hating her self for being so vulnerable and fragile.

'I told you not to go to his party for this exact reason!' Her mother shouted, turning around and facing her daughter, anger in her eyes. 'And I was right wasn't I? He was trouble and you should have stayed away!'

'So you don't care about your daughters feelings in all this' Ava barked back at her. 'All you care about, is that you were right about him. Great are you happy now? Because I sure as hell aren't. I went to that party because he said he loved me. He said I was the one. His only one. He lied. And I gave him my all. Everything I had'

Ava wiped away angry tears which fell furiously down her face like a rushing river. Her mothers facial features visibly softened and her eyes grew wide with love and concern for her daughter.

'Ava you know that I love you, darling' Ava's mother whispered, caressing her knee in a tender way. 'I instate rules to protect you from things like this. I never wanted to see my baby hurt. I just wanted to protect you.'

Ava shrugged her mothers hand away from her leg and turned to stare out of the window, turning her back on her mother. If she had been looking at her mothers face, she would have seen the hurt and rejection that resided in her features.

'Ava' her mothers gentle voice faded out.

'Ava?' Harry whispered next to her, his voice thick with panic.

Harry's face was fuzzy in the beginning but soon came into clear focus. His unruly curls poked up in places, almost making her smile. Almost. His features were etched in pain but he refused to get treatment unless Ava was okay. She stared in to his green eyes. They looked so dark now, a contrast to earlier that day.

How is it his eyes can portray so many emotions?

Those green eyes that bore into her deep brown ones showed warmth, worry, passion and hurt. She almost gave into his gorgeous green eyes before she remembered what had happened to get her in this mess. Those green eyes had told her to trust him. She doesn't trust easily but something about him had won her trust. But all was lost now. All was done.

He gently placed his large hand over hers in comfort. She stared down hard at this gesture before tugging her hand from under his and pulling it towards her chest. Hurt fell upon his face and she turned her face away because she couldn't bare the sight.

'You did this!' Ava blamed him. Turning her body fully away from his and shivering slightly from memory of the oncoming headlights that barreled towards them.

'Ava, I am so sorry' Harry murmured, sincerity threading through his words. She shivered at his words and nearly gave in but instead she just closed her eyes and shut him off. He noticed her shivering and lay his leather jacket around her shoulders to keep her warm and then just sat beside her, knowing that was the only way to comfort her at the moment.

She felt his leather jacket heavy over her shoulders.

She felt the blanket fall heavy over her shoulders.

Ambulance lights. Police lights. Fire truck lights. The constant light supply during the scene that had unfolded. Sirens piercing through the dead of the night. Ava was in shock of the scene presented in front of her.

A woods was empty and dark behind her. Even the foreboding forest looked more inviting then the scene she was apart off. She could hear a small stream trickling behind her, the same sound her blood was making as it trickled from her leg. Her head pounded and she was shaking uncontrollably. Sitting in the back of the ambulance, seeing so much to fix but being unable to do anything.

The paramedics had tried to shield her from most of the area but she had caught glimpses of the surroundings before being dragged off and hauled into the ambulance.

Blood stains that lay across the floor, more blood then Ava thought possible for a human being. Glass shards sprinkled everywhere. The windscreen completely caved in. And a sight that would curse her every waking moment for the rest of her life. Her mothers limp and lifeless body, covered head to toe in blood. She had only caught a small glance but that glance scarred her.

As she was hauled off into the ambulance she caught sight of a body being rolled into a second ambulance. Someone thumping at his chest to get him breathing before the doors closed and her view was gone. She pushed at her matted hair and began to bawl her eyes out. Tears flooding furiously from her face.

She wasn't a believer in god but if he saved her parents from the one thing she feared most right now. Death itself. She would be a believer. she would devote everything she had into it. Little did she know at the time, that her parents had once been her everything. so if they were gone, there was nothing left for her on earth.

The only thing left to do was wait. Wait for the news she really didn't want to hear.
