Perfect Harmony

Sydney was born and raised in Cheshire. She was bestfriends with Harry Styles. When he tries out for XFactor, Sydney feels like he forgot about her. She moves away and encounters him again. What will happen to the couple that was meant to be?

19. Apologising

Harry's POV
"Are you sure about this?" I asked her. She hesitated. "Yeah. I need to apoligise for everything I said to, and about him." "You're free to go. If it shows any signs of being infected, come back. Please, don't cut again, Sydney." The doctor spoke. Sydney smiled. "I won't. I promise." I looked at her. "Harry, I promise!" I chuckled. "Okay. Let's go home and pack. We can stay at my mum's for a few nights." She nodded.
We packed for three days. Sydney was finished, and we loaded the car. My phone started buzzing like crazy. "Can you check that, please?" I asked Sydney. She picked up my phone. "It's the boys." "What are they saying?" I asked. "They want to know why we were in the hospitsl, and why we're going away." There was a moment of silence. "It's up to you if you want to tell them." It was silent again. "I will." She started typing away. After a minute or two, she told me what she said. "Hey boys, it's Sydney. Harry's driving. With everything that was happening with my mum, I became really depressed. While you guys were at the studio, I cut myself really bad, and a lot. I got infected, and so that's why we were in the hospital. I thought about everything I had done to my stepdad, and felt like I needed to apoligise. So, now we're on our way to Cheshire to go see him and Anne."
Sydney's POV
We pulled into the familiar street, and drive. We got our stuff, and walked in. "Hello mum!" Harry called out. "Harry! Oh my word! Why didn't you call?!" We looked at each other. The thought of calling never seemed to occur to us. "We wanted to surprise you!" I thought quickly. She smiled, and pulled us into a hug. Someone had hit my arm. "Ow!" It slipped. "Oh sorry!" Harry spoke up. "It's fine. You just stepped on my foot." I couldn't tell her. It was like telling my own mum. I couldn't stand it. "Hey mum! I know we just got here, but can we go talk to Sydney's stepdad?" She nodded. "Of course." Harry took our stuff up to his room, and we walked next door. "Why didn't you tell her?" Harry asked. "I couldn't stand the disappointing look. I know the look she would give, and I absolutley hate that look." He nodded, and we walked up to the door. "This doesn't even feel like my house anymore." I said before knocking. I knocked on the door, and wiped away forming tears.
"What're you doing here?" John said, after opening the door. "I wanted to talk to you." He looked like he didn't believe me. "What, so you can blame me for you mother's death too?" "No! I wanted to apoligise for being such a brat to you." He opened the door, and let us in. I walked in, and sat on the couch, Harry right next to me. "I feel bad for everything that's happened. I know I shouldn't have blamed you for any of this. I was being a brat, and I'm so so so sorry." He sighed. "No. You were right. You should've been invited to the wedding, I mean, c'mon. Even Harry was invited. You're her daughter, and you should've been invited." "Can I ask you something?" He nodded. "Why wasn't I invited?" He sighed. "Honestly, your mum didn't want her sister coming, so she didn't send the invitation." Tears formed in my eyes. I wasn't invited because my aunt? I couldn't believe it. "No. No, there has to be another reason. She wouldn't have not invited me because f my aunt." Harry sighed. "Do you know why she didn't invite me?" I asked him. "Sydney, do you remember wha she said to you when you left?"
"Mum! I'm leaving! I don't care what you think! I already bought the ticket! I can't stand it! He left me! He doesn't even remember the girl next door!" I had yelled at her. "You're going to throw everything away, because the boy you love, doesn't remember you?! That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard!" She yelled back. Tears had formed in my eyes. "Anne had to stop you from leaving, when dad left! I have known Harry since I was born. How do you forget someone you've known since you were two months old mum?!" She shook her head at me. "You're so ungreatful! Don't ever come back! I don't want you! No one will ever want you!"
"She didn't want me..." I spoke, as the realisation hit. "Of course she wanted you!" John tried to say. "How long ago, did you two get married?" I asked him, fighting the tears." "About two to three months before you came." "She didn't want me. I was gone for two years. When I was in the hospital, your mum forced her to come. She wanted nothing to do with me." I got up and walked out the door. I walked into Harry's house, not knowing where Harry was. Tears were streaming down my face. "How did it go?" Anne asked. "She didn't want me." I spoke again. I walked up to Harry's room, and locked the door behind me. I screamed my lungs out in tears for hours. My parents didn't want me.
