Over Again

Along the way, she's gotten hurt so many times that she's built up walls and doesn't let anyone in. 1. Over Again

HILARY’S POV

“Jesus, Hilary! What is it going to take for you to listen to us?! You can’t go out! You have to clean and finish laundry. And you don’t deserve to go out. You have no respect for us at all! Just because you’re 19 and you have a job doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. You live under our roof so you’ll do what we say!” I felt the tears start to form as my parents yelled more. It seemed as though this was becoming a usual conversation between us. I can’t even have a normal conversation with them anymore because it always ends up in me getting yelled at. I honestly don’t get what I do wrong. I do everything they ask. I need to grow up, I’m 19 for Jesus sake! Usually I would just be quiet and take the words, but I’ve had enough.

“Fine! Then I’ll find another place to stay! Then I won’t be under your roof and won’t have to listen to this every day!” And with that, I went to my room, grabbed my keys, phone, a bag of clothes and left the house. I got in my car, and turned the CD player on. Take Me Home was in and whenever I’m in a “mood”, I want to listen to the types of songs that go along with my mood. So “Over Again” it was!  I turned it up so loud that my ears pounded and started to drive. Although I didn’t know where I was going to go, I ended up at a hotel in the city. I parked my car and stayed in there, skipping all the fast songs and only playing the slow ones. I couldn’t help it- I had held it in for so long, but I finally broke down- right there in my car.

After minutes of crying and some yelling, I finally decided it was time to go inside. It was pretty late, anyways. I got out of my car and low and behold, it started to rain. I grabbed my bag sloppily and started to rush towards the entrance but before I knew it, everything in my bag fell out and onto the concrete. “Of course!”  I yelled and bent down to pick up my soaking wet clothes.

NIALL’S POV

We had just pulled in the hotel parking lot. It was late, dark, and raining. What a night! As the car came to a stop, I noticed a girl running towards the doors but then her bag fell. I couldn’t hear what she yelled, but she seemed irritated. We parked and I rushed out of the car to help her.

“Eh-hem” I coughed. “Would you like some help?” The rain started to get heavier, as if it wasn’t pouring hard enough already. She didn’t look up.

“I’m fine” she sniffled.

Something was wrong; I could tell it by the tone of her voice. “Are you crying?”

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll be fine by myself.” She shot at me.

Well, that wasn’t nice. I mean I understand that people get mad and upset, but why the need to take it out on other people. I was going to find a way for her to let me in. “Come on. It’s pouring down rain, your clothes are soaked, you’re going to get a cold, and something is obviously wrong. Let me help.”

She finally looked up at me and just stared at me in silence.
