Over Again

Hilary always put people before herself, and did everything for everyone else. She is never good enough for her parents and they won't let her grow up. Along the way, she's gotten hurt so many times that she's built up walls and doesn't let anyone in. When she finally takes a stand against her parents, she runs into a boy who wants to tear down the walls and get closer to Hilary. Will she let him? What will become of the two?

6. Getting To Know Each Other

*Later on that evening*

We had finished drying my clothes and had gone back up to his hotel room. Liam and Harry rung his phone asking if he was going to join, but instead he said he was busy for the rest of the night. We sat together, cross-legged, on his bed and talked for the rest of the night.

“What about your favorite food?” Niall asked next. Of course he would ask about food. I laughed. “Peanut butter cookies for sure” I replied. “What about yours?”

“Woah! How can you ask me a question like that? Not cool!” He laughed deeply. “Favorite animal?”

“Oh that’s easy! A penguin. They are so adorable!” He giggled at how excited I was with my answer. “What is the weirdest thing that has happened to you since you got famous?” I was really curious.

He paused in silence and stared off into space. It was about a minute until he finally answered. “When a mom asked me- no. Begged me- to go on a date with her daughter. She even offered me money. It was ridiculously nuts!”

“That’s crazy!” I agreed with him. We went back and forth all night with questions. It was nice, just sitting on the bed, getting to know one another, laughing. When it finally got to the point where we were both too tired to continue, he grabbed a pillow and sheet from the bed, moving onto the floor. He told me that he wanted me to sleep in the bed and he would take the floor. I tried to protest but it didn’t work. Soon enough, we both drifted off to sleep.

I woke up before Hilary. She was tangled in the sheets, sprawled out on the bed. It was kind of a funny sight, but her face was so calm. She wasn’t worried, nervous or scared like when I first met her. For once, she was calm and content. Her skin is so smooth and her lips plump. Her eyelashes were dark and long- so beautiful. I didn’t want to bother her so I decided to not wake her. I quietly got dressed and met with the rest of the boys for breakfast.

“So she spent the night with you?” Harry asked me.

“Yeah. She couldn’t get a hotel room and I wasn’t going to let her drive in the storm. It could’ve been dangerous.”

“Or you just like her.” Zayn piped in. I could feel my cheeks turn pink.

“Dude, shut the hell up!” I shot at him.

“Woah woah buddy, no need to get so tense.” He replied and they all laughed at my embarrassment. I couldn’t get her off my mind.
