Over Again

Hilary always put people before herself, and did everything for everyone else. She is never good enough for her parents and they won't let her grow up. Along the way, she's gotten hurt so many times that she's built up walls and doesn't let anyone in. When she finally takes a stand against her parents, she runs into a boy who wants to tear down the walls and get closer to Hilary. Will she let him? What will become of the two?

3. Catching Feelings

When he said he was Niall, I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean who on this earth wouldn’t know that? But then I remembered that I couldn’t try to flirt or anything because it would only end in heart break or whatever. It always does. Always.

“I know” was all I said. Some moments filled with silence went by and he interrupted the silence by asking my name.

“Hilary. My name is Hilary”

Another moment of silence and I looked at him through the corner of my eye, not wanting him to notice. He was smiling to himself.

“Hilary” he repeated. I was confused. What is going on? Niall Horan is smiling because I told him my name? Weird.

As we came to the desk, I asked for a one bed room, non-smoking. The cheapest they had was $109.99 because it was last minute. “I-I only have $70 in my bank account right now. But I get paid tomorrow. Can I pay in payments?” I asked the hotel manager, embarrassed that Niall could hear everything. He was waiting so patiently.

“We’re sorry, ma’am. We have to have the money before-hand in full before we can let you stay in a room.” The hotel manager apologized and turned to go back to his office.

I hung my head low and grabbed my bag off the floor without looking at Niall. “Nice meeting you, Niall.” I said. He grabbed my arm. “Wait! Stay in my room tonight and you can get another room tomorrow since you get paid. The rain is really coming down out there and it’s dangerous to be driving in.”

“I-I don’t want to intrude. I’ll just drive down the road a bit until I find a cheaper hotel.”

“Don’t. Please. It’s dangerous. Anything could happen and plus, you still have to tell me what is going on and why a young, beautiful lady like you is doing upset, crying in the parking lot of a hotel this late at night.” His eyes stared deep into mine and I felt my cheeks blush. I looked down quickly so he wouldn’t notice.

I think she blushed but I’m not sure because she looked down right away.

“Okay” I heard her whisper.

“Alright, let’s grab this bag and head up to my room.” I grabbed the bag out of her hands and she followed me to my room. Paul had already put all my stuff in the room so I didn’t need to worry about that.

“You can shower first” I offered. Hilary immediately turned red and said “All my clothes are soaked….” She seemed embarrassed.

“You can borrow some of mine for now and when we’re both done, we can find a washer and dryer and go dry all of your clothes.”

“Alright” she said as she grabbed towels. I went to my suitcase and grabbed a tshirt and some sweatpants and handed them to her before she closed the bathroom door. I sat on the bed, waiting for her to finish showering. I couldn’t help but still wonder what was going on. I hope everything is okay. I guess I’ll find out. But she is really beautiful. She has shoulder-length blonde hair and green eyes. She’s kind of short but that’s cute. What was I thinking? I just met this girl. I can’t already be developing feelings for her. What?

Quite a few minutes later, I heard the shower turn off. I lay where I was in bed and just waited for her to come out. I didn’t want to rush her. But I was getting cold from having on wet clothes from the rain. She finally came out and I couldn’t help but think of how adorable she looked in my clothes. They were a bit baggy, but it was cute.

“Your turn.” She said to me and I shot out of the bed, carrying my clothes with me and turned the shower on, not hesitating to jump in the warm water.

Niall is so nice. I had never ever in a thousand years thought I would be in his hotel room, let alone meeting him. The day that was becoming the worst day of my life had actually started to turn upside down because of this boy. He offered me to stay in his room, he wants to hear my story, and he is helping me with my things. My thoughts wandered off and I lost track of time. The door to the bathroom opened and Niall walked out in his pants, no shirt, drying his hair with a towel. I stared at his perfectly sculpted Irish body. My jaw kind of dropped and my eyes went glossy. He looked up at me and caught me staring. I blushed, but he laughed.
