I took them to a pretty chill club. Okay it wasn't so chill, but not many people would recognize me there.
Okay, I'll admit, that wasn't my first time at a club. I had been going to clubs since I was fifteen. I drank, I did drugs. Terrible, I know, but whatever. I stopped when I turned seventeen and almost got raped. Someone slipped a drug into my drink and took me back to his hotel. I woke up, my arms tied to a bed post. I still had my panties and bra on, but nothing else. The guy, who was actually pretty attractive, had passed out on the couch in the room. The TV was on, and I was so tempted to scream. Instead, I managed to untie my hands, get dressed with my clothes that lay on the bed, and run away, back home. Of course no one had noticed I was gone, except Nanny. She was the only one who knew too. I stopped drugs completely afterwards. Except alcohol. What can I say, I was a drinker. Still was.
There was music blasting in the background as the boys and I sat in a booth. Paul, their body guard, stood, watching over the boys. A server, a really cute brunette, came over to us. She looked really young, maybe even younger than me. For brown hair and brown eyes, she was pretty plain, but super cute. She also seemed shy, taking our orders. She walked away and it was just us.
"Guys, I can't have more than one drink..." I said, as if to make sure they remembered.
"Oh right, your friend Marissa told us that too," Liam said. He looked like he was taking mental note to watch me. I smiled at him. Then my eyes fell on Niall. He was staring back at me. There wasn't a flirtatious vibe going through us though. It was different. Kind of like we told each other that we needed to stay just friends.
"Here are your drinks," the server said, coming back. She was strong, holding all six drinks on the big tray. We thanked her and she left, then we started taking sips from our drinks.
"WOW!" a group of girls said. "You are like One Direction and-Oh my gosh! Bow? Is that you?" Oh man, they were the girls from school that always followed me around. I groaned and hid my face. They were asking the boys to dance, which Louis, Zayn, and Harry got up and agreed to their offer. I sighed as it was just Liam, Niall and I. I took a sip at my drink and Liam cleared his throat.
"Uh... Bow, do you know where the bathroom is?" Liam asked. I nodded and pointed it out to him. "Thanks, love." Then he got up and walked off, Paul trailing behind him, but not going into the bathroom. I took this as my chance.
"Soooooo," I said, scooting closer to Niall. He smiled and so did I. "Tell me about yourself."
"Well, I'm Irish, in One Direction, and I like food," he said. That was the first time I took notice of his accent. It was quite a turn on. "Anyways, are you sure it's me you want to know about and not..." He trailed off but was pointing at Harry who was dancing with those girl, but watching us.
"Hmm, Niall I think you know me too well," I joked. "How did you know I wanted to know everything about him that drives him crazy and annoy him?" We both started laugh and then I had a serious face. "No, Niall, seriously, I want to know," I was being totally serious and he stopped laughing.
"Why? Harry's not such a bad guy," he said, finishing his drink.
"I don't know... I just want to annoy him because he annoys me," I took a sip of my drink.
"Can I tell you something?"
"Sure, what is it Niall?"
"Did you ever stop to think if he might like you?"
"What?" I said, a bit shocked and confused. Sure, I thought he was cute, and I was pretty sure he was just flirting with me, but nothing more than that. "No..."
"Okay, I'll help you then, and let's see what happens." Niall smiled at me. I shyly smiled back.
"So, guess we're friends now? Want to exchange numbers?" I said, pulling out my phone and he nodded. We exchanged numbers and Niall starting telling me a bit about Harry. Like he hates when people try and straighten his hair, when girls are randomly screaming, and some more stuff. "Why are you helping me?" I curiously asked.
"I dunno," Niall shrugged. Then he started to chuckle. "Let's just say he at the last bit of Nando's back home and I want to get even?" I couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you two up to?" a slightly angered looking Harry Styles said to us. Niall and I shared a glance and started laughing. Harry furrowed his brows together.
"We were just talking, Niall was telling me funny jokes," I lied, but giggled, finishing off my drink. I was feeling the drink start to take effect.
"Oh really? What was the joke?" Harry said, sliding into the booth and sitting next to me. I turned to Niall, who was thinking. Like he had that whole 'hmm I'm thinking' face with his hand on his chin and everything. I giggled.
"How come the chicken never crossed the road" Niall finally said.
"How come?" I smiled.
"I ate him," Niall chuckled and I started laughing so hard. That was the stupidest joke I had heard but it was so stupid it was funny and it was pretty cute.
"That was so funny," Harry said with a bored looking face. I smacked his shoulder lightly, my giggles coming to an end.
"It was wasn't it?" I said. Niall then excused himself to go find Liam, who never came back to the booth and it was just us.
"Didn't I say to stay away from him?" Harry said sharply. My head started to hurt a bit, not from the alcohol, but because Harry was starting to annoy me.
"Shush Harry, we're just friends," I said, closing my eyes and wrapping my arms around his right arm and rested my head on his shoulder. "My head hurts, so let's just sit like this for a bit... and then leave if you've had enough fun..."
It was silent and I was starting to drift off. "Alright," Harry said, freeing his arm and putting it around me.
I felt warm under his arm, and it felt...right...
