4. Champagne and Outrage

Marissa was having a blast talking to her favorite band in the whole wide world. I wander over the the kitchen, which only the chefs were allowed in, to grab a few bottles of white and champagne for everyone. I walked back out and said, "So who is ready to party!" This was a normal routine, everyone cheered out, like we were at a college or high school party. My father walked over to me and we popped open a bottle of champagne. There were a bunch of cheers and I giggled at how goofy these grown ups were being. Then I spotted Stacy walking in and left Veronica and my dad to pop open a bottle together.

"Hey Stace," I said with a small finger wave. She smiled at me and gave me a hug. Goodness, she looked absolutely gorgeous. The purple dress clung to her body and her hair was in an elegant bun. I spotted Dave walk in behind her. "Hey Dave, nice of you to join us." He rolled his eyes at me and I stuck my tongue out at him. Here's the thing, I hate Dave, but he was a pretty cool guy and I guess you could say we were kind of friends.

"Stacy!" Marissa cried and gave our best friend a hug. "You'll never believe who is at this party! Ahh!" Stacy started laughing and Dave dismissed himself to go grab them some drinks. "One Direction! I'm so lucky to even be here!" Then she gave me a tight hug, catching me by surprise, but I hugged her back. "Thank you so much!"

"Good to know I can make your dreams come true," I laughed and they laughed along. "Hey, I'm going to get myself a drink. I'm assuming Dave is getting one for you, Stacy. But how about you, Marissa? Want me to grab you one?" Marissa shook her head. She wasn't a drinker. I shrugged my shoulders and walked over to the drinks just as Dave got back to Stacy. I found some pink champagne and grabbed a glass. Thankfully it was the last one, because if there was more, I might get out of hand and drink a bit too much. I'll confess, I'm not an angel when it comes to drugs and drinking, but you could probably guess that.

I started to wander back to my friends, noticing the boyband with girlfriends join them. I glared at them, wishing it wasn't them but instead The Wanted. Then again I was a huge fan of Simon Cowell, so I guess they were okay. I stealthily stood in between Marissa and a curly haired brunette boy. He was pretty tall, like my dad, reaching six feet, or just shy of it. I was a little intimidated, though I was standing at five feet nine inches in my heels. Normally though I was five feet seven inches. I took side glances of him while taking small sips of my drink. He was pretty attractive, especially his eyes. He had a cute smile too.

"Are you alright?" he asked me. Wait...what? I looked at him, noticing that he caught me staring. "Oh yeah, you just look familiar," I said. That was a close one.

"That's because he's Harry Styles, I've showed you their pictures a million times," Marissa said, squeezing my arm lightly. Oh right. Marissa always told me about One Direction. They were finally registering in my celeb knowledge. "Harry, this is Bow, Mr.Cascade's daughter, and my best friend." I smiled and felt myself blush. I knew her words were sincere. Marissa was an honest girl. I took another sip of my drink, my head starting to become a bit foggy. I wanted that to happen, I couldn't feel much when that happened.

"Oh, nice to meet you," Harry said, holding his hand out for me to shake it. I don't know why, but for some reason he annoyed me. Maybe it was because he was being polite. I took his hand and shook it softly. He smiled. "I'm looking forward to working with your father." I rolled my eyes, but smiled at him. He was just like everyone else, just happy about working with my dad. I took another sip. I did not like him.

"Bow... is that champagne?" I heard Stacy whisper into my ear. She was standing next to Marissa now, both of them looking at me quizzically. I smiled and nodded. "You know what alcohol does to you..." I gave her a glare.

"Like I care," I said, then drank the rest of my drink. Stacy looked at me astonished but then shook her head and joined her boyfriend. Marissa gave me a worried glance, but then turned to the blonde one, Niall I think. I felt myself feel like a cloud for a second then walked over to the drinks grab another glass. There was more pink champagne. I smiled to myself and grabbed a glass then walked back to everyone. I was halfway done with the glass when someone called Harry's name and her bumped into me, causing the drink to spill onto my dress and nearly have my fall. I looked at the sorry looking Harry, my eyes flaring with anger. My hands rose in tight fists and I was about to attack him and scream at him when I felt a presence behind me.

"Bow, go up to your room," I heard my father's voice say. I was trying to protest but he held a finger up to his lip. "Now." I couldn't believe him! Was he serious right now? I gave my most deadly glare to Harry then stormed off, not caring if anyone saw the tears streaming down my face. I sped up the stairs and to my room, shutting the door with a loud bang. Probably no one heard me because the music was too loud and everyone was having fun. I stripped off my dress and threw it with my heels at the door. Half naked, I sent a text to both Marissa and Stacy, telling them not to come up until after the party was over. They didn't reply back right away but told me they understood.

I walked into the bathroom and removed all my make up. Then I rummaged through my closet for my maroon Converse tee that was a Men's Medium or Large. I couldn't remember but it almost went to my knees so I didn't bother to put on pants. I walked over to my bed, where I left my phone and walked into my secret room. I sat on the old mattress and was scrolling through my timeline on Twitter. I was still crying, still upset. I was so angry at Harry, the guy I didn't even know, and my dad. I found so much One Direction crap that I wanted to throw my phone out the window. Tumblr was my only option for happiness at the moment since I was in no mood to read books. I found pictures of cats and couldn't help but calm down and take in their cuteness. They were so cute.

"," I heard an accent voice say. My head sharply turned to the passage of my secret room. There stood the boy I was currently angry at. I felt like lunging at him and stabbing his eyes out. He walked in and my whole body was heating with anger, but I was too exhausted to even get up. He reached out at the books, distracted.

"What are you doing in here? How did you get in?" I asked, annoyed with him. Who gave him the right?

"Hmm? Oh your door was unlocked," he said. So that gave him the right to walk in? "I knocked a few time but you didn't answer, so I got a bit worried." He gave me a shy smile. My body shot up and I ran into my room, quickly locking my room door. I saw Harry walk back into my room a bit confused. "Why did you lock the door?"

"Because no one was to know about that room and now a stranger has seen it!" I hissed, throwing my arms up. Did he not understand that I was angry? "What are you still doing in here? Get out!"

"I just wanted to apologize," he whined, frowning. He seemed pretty hurt. I heaved a sigh and crossed my arms across my chest. I noticed him look me up and down, checking me out. "So, I'm sorry...and I guess I better leave you now..."

"Wait..." I said, the guilt hitting me. Why not let him stay for a bit? He had already seen the secret room. "You can stay for a bit, if you promise me you will not tell a soul about my secret room." I was waving a finger at him. It was my warning finger. He smield then started nodding. "C'mon then, we can eat snacks in here," I said.

"Thanks, I wasn't really in the mood for the party downstairs," he said getting comfortable next to me on the mattress. I noticed his eyes scanning around the room then landing onto mine. "Nice library, didn't suspect you to be a bookworm."

"I-I-I'm not, the room just looked plain without them," I lied, opening a bag of chips. "I-I'm not a reader." He raised a brow at me before taking some chips and stuffing his face. "Seriously though, don't tell anyone. Before today not a soul, besides me, knew about this place."

"Okay, whatever you say, Bookworm," he laughed. I glared at him and he backed off. But was at it again with his talking. "You're really pretty without make-up. Like a model," he said. I glared at him again.

"That's because I used to model for my dad's company," I said, rolling my eyes at him. He smiled. I gave him a look of disgust.

"Oh, good," he said. He popped another chip into his mouth. "Hey, give me your number, you seem pretty cool." He was starting to get on my nerves, but I gave him my number anyways.

It was weird. Harry was pretty cool, except that he was getting on my nerves. Maybe it was the alcohol messing with me.
