I can't believe she said that. I know she doesn't really like me...but hate's a strong word. What have I ever done to her? Ya, maybe I came off a little like a player, but I'm not one. "Harry!" I rolled my eyes at her voice. "What do you want?!" I practically screamed. She stepped back a little. "I'm sorry..." She said. "Why would you say that, Layla? I didn't do anything to you. I really like you, but knowing that you hate me hurts..." I said, gaze locked onto hers. "I don't know...I was stupid and......" She hesitated for a few seconds. "And what? Tell me." I demanded. "Scared. I'm scared." She confirmed. Her eyes started becoming blurry. Tears falling down, one by one. "Why are you scared?" I asked, obviously knowing the answer. "You should be too! We're gonna die out here! There's nothing! I haven't eaten in days, and some psycho is out to kill me! You expect me to act like things are normal?! I knew I was gonna die already, but now there's someone out there to kill me and my chances of dying are 1,000,000 to 1. I'm terrified. I don't know what to do..." She said, tears streaming down her face as she broke down. I saw everyone staring as I draped my arms around her. "Harry I didn't mean to hurt you..." She sobbed. "It's ok...really, I'm fine. I know you're scared." I said resting my head on top of hers. "No it's not...I shouldn't have done that." She cried. I grabbed onto her hand, hearing her thoughts. "I'm stupid. I don't deserve this anymore. No one even likes me. Why am I here? No one cares anyways... obviously people want me dead." All were thoughts going through her mind right now. "Layla! Are you freaking kidding me?!" I asked, seeing her jump up in shock and stumble backwards. I quickly moved my hand behind her back, catching her from falling into the water. "What'd I do now?" She asked. "I want you here." I said. Her reaction quickly changed to realization as she noticed our hands together. "You do?" She asked. "I really, truly do." I said grabbing her in a long hug and running my fingers through her hair. "Thank you..." She cried. "Layla it's ok. Stop crying." I reassured her. "I didn't mean it Harry." She sobbed. "Layla, I know. It's ok. You're ok. We'll all be ok." I promised.
