"How old are you?" Harry asked. "16....no 17! 17 today." I smiled. "Really?!" He asked, our bodies still touching. "Yup." I grinned, "I'm like two years younger than you." "That's not a bad thing." He smiled. "Whoa..." I heard Dylan's voice behind me. I turned around and saw him giving me an evil smirk. "Go away." I demanded, my face serious. "Ok..." He grinned, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, waking up everyone else. Harry and I quickly pulled away from each other before anyone else could see. "Who's birthday is it?" Niall asked. "MINE!!!" Louis shouted. "No it's mine...?" I replied. "You were both born on Christmas Eve!!!" Liam said happily. "You have the same birthday as Layla, Lou." Dylan said. "Ohh twinies!!!" Louis said running up to me, embracing me in a huge hug, and jumping up and down. "Louis leave the poor girl alone." Eleanor giggled. Danielle came out putting on her jacket and Perrie was fixing her purple hair. "It's so cold!" Perrie said running up to Zayn and cuddling inside of his chest. "Cuddle buddies!!" Louis said hugging Eleanor. Danielle and Liam soon followed. Harry looked at me and grinned. I shook my head and skipped over to Dylan. Niall looked at Harry and opened his arms. Harry opened his and Niall ran straight into Harry, embracing each other in a hug. No one could help themselves from laughing as Niall picked up his foot and smiled like a teenage girl. My teeth started chattering so Dylan and I shuffled inside without letting go of each other. "I'm so hungry!" Dylan complained, everyone else following with a yes or definitely. "I'm not." I replied. "What?! No ones eaten a decent meal in days!" Harry exclaimed. "I hate eating breakfast. It makes me sick." I replied. "Seriously?" Zayn asked. "Yup. I can't eat it." I replied. "So you live in Chicago?" Danielle asked. "All my life...all OUR lives I should say." Dylan replied looking over to me. "But you guys are from London...how'd you end up here?" I asked. "We were flying out to California for a talk show, then our plane started to get messed up with the wind pattern and we landed as everything started." Niall explained. "We ran to find safety and ended up staying in some random house. We stayed in their basement." Liam finished. "Oh." I replied wrapping myself up in one of the blankets from the building. "We should start heading towards the city. Half of it is still standing. We can try to find some food there. It's about a 3-4 hour walk though." Dylan explained. We all nodded our heads in agreement and started walking towards the tall skyscrapers. I was the first out the door, everyone else followed close behind. I felt a hand start to fiddle with my fingertips, tangling them up with theirs. "Harry not now..." I whispered noticing Niall staring. "It won't hurt. I think he gets it, Layla." He said taking my hand again. I continued walking, thinking about what else could be out there, and who else wanted to hurt me. I tried to think of who the man was, and I started daydreaming about a girl. She was about my age, only thousands of times prettier. She was stuck inside a building, the door was frozen shut, and she couldn't get out through the windows, them being think pieces of glass. She was running out of water and left over food, and was on the verge of death. Her face was as white as the snow falling from the sky, and her hair was think and wavy, falling just above her belly button. "Did you see that?" Harry asked. "What?" I asked him, surprised on the fact that he could've seen what I saw again. "A girl. She was trapped in a building in the city, about to die." Harry replied looking me straight in the eyes. "Ya, I saw it...so it works when we're awake too?" I asked. "Only if we're daydreaming." Harry replied. "That could come in handy..." I said with a grin. "Much." He replied cheekily.
