The song in the video is the instrumental for "Say Something" by A Great Big World feat. Christina Aguilera, it's really a beautiful song :)
-- Caycia’s POV --
“So these are the centerpieces?” I held up a floral bouquet in my hands.
“Yes,” Penny said to me, “and these are the vases that they will sit in,” she pulled a vase out of one of the large boxes that were sitting on the table beside us. She placed this beautiful glass vase down on the table between us. The vase appeared to be made of what looked like glass icicles, and I knew the various pinks and whites of the magnolias would look stunning in this large hall. These centerpieces were definitely going to stand out.
I grabbed the vase, moving it more towards my body, “wow, these are beautiful Pen.” I complimented her taste. She had wonderful taste, though it was expensive taste. I knew that Harry had told her to go all out, to spend as much money as she wanted to have the wedding of her dreams, but I imagined this wedding would be costing a few hundred thousand.
She smiled at my compliment and I stuffed the sample flowers in the vase to get a taste of how they’d look. I was glad she’d hired someone to do all the decorating the day of the wedding, so the only thing I’d be worrying about just over a month from now was making sure everything else ran smoothly.
I couldn’t help but think about my own wedding while I was in the midst of helping Penny plan hers. There was no doubt in my mind that I was jealous of her, of course I was. She had it all figured out. Penny had chosen the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, the one that made her happier above all, the one who had stolen her heart.
I, on the other hand have not. I am so tightly wound up in two men that I can’t stand straight. I continually try my best to fight my feelings for Louis, but they tenaciously crawl their way back into my heart. I know I broke it off with him, but I also knew Louis, and I knew he wasn’t letting go that easily.
I hoped that Zayn was doing well, and he wasn’t having anymore blackouts. I believe that if he does well in the next few days that the doctors will hopefully let him out, finally. I don’t even know how management has managed to force him in there so long, when he’s clearly well enough to be at home. I hoped Zayn would be out of the hospital soon, so that I could finally have some time alone with him, and not his odd little roommate.
“Hey, do you have a pen I could borrow?” Penny interrupted my rambled thoughts.
I turned away from her, walking towards my purse, “yeah, I think so… Hold on, let me look.” I began digging through my purse, “no I can’t seem to find the one I had in here,” I said after a few seconds. “This is weird. I swear I had one in here. Two days I couldn’t find a pair of earrings I had thrown in here, I swear I’m losing my mind,” I said to Penny and she laughed.
“Well you are known for losing things,” she continued laughing lightly.
“Yeah…” I mumbled, although I wasn’t entirely sure this was my fault.
“Y’know, I think the staff here might be able to lend us one, I’ll go find out,” she said to me with a smile. As she began walking towards the door however, Harry walked in, grabbing her wrist, spinning her around and kissing her lips.
“Hello love,” he grinned at her.
“Why hello there handsome,” she placed her hand on his chest.
I walked towards them, “I’ll go grab a pen,” I said to the both of them and Penny nodded at me. When I was at the door I turned around and watched as they intertwined their fingers and Penny was pointing at the centerpieces. I made my way around the large building, eventually finding the front desk after two or three minutes.
Standing behind the desk, in a formal uniform stood a woman, “Can I help you?” she asked in a pleased tone.
“Do you have a pen I could borrow? I seem to have lost mine,” I asked her.
“Yes of course!” She scrambled through a drawer and handed me a pen with the hotel name scrawled across it. “You can keep it, compliments of the hotel.” She said with a smile.
“Thank you,” I said to her as I grabbed the pen. I began making my way back to the hall where the ceremony would be, but when I was just outside the door I stopped myself.
“Harry, what’s wrong? Something’s been bugging you lately.” I heard Penny say.
I could hear Harry take a sigh, “it’s nothing. Don’t worry about it, you have the wedding to worry about. I don’t want to burden you.”
“Harry, you’re burdening me by not telling me right now,” I imagined she was cradling his face, making him stare her in the eyes.
I could hear feet shuffle, “it’s about Louis.”
Instantly I felt my heart race, was something wrong with Louis?
“What is it?” She asked him.
“Well… I don’t even know. He’s been acting really strange lately. He hasn’t been himself. He seems really sad and upset… I went over to his place yesterday -“
“Mhm,” Penny interrupted him.
“- and he was a complete wreck. He was smoking pot, he was drinking, Penny… he was smoking.”
I heard her gasp lightly.
“And then I heard his phone buzz and it was Niall, so I picked it up and answered the text because you know what it’s like… and then all of the sudden he received this text… This text from this girl. And it said something like we can’t tell Zayn right now he’s hurting in the hospital, or we need to keep this from Zayn he’s already going through a lot, I’m not sure I can’t remember exactly what it said.” I imagined he was rubbing the bridge of his nose as he tried to recollect the memories, “and then when I read the name over, I realized that I recognized it. She was this girl that Louis used to go out with back in high school, and he broke her poor heart. I didn’t think they were still talking…”
“Well, who was it?” Penny finally spoke up.
“Her name is Tarin.”
