I woke up at one in the morning and found that I felt awful. I ran to the bathroom just as I felt I was going to be sick. The octopus must have been bad. For the next 4 hours I was up every hour to be sick. At 7 in the morning I felt empty and horrible. I now had a temperature, couldn't keep even water down, and was too weak to stand up for long periods of time. I heard a knock at the door, but ignored it, until whoever it was started pounding and added a headache to my sickness.
"Ashley! It's 7 in the morning! I know you are awake! Now open this door!" yelled Louis. I slowly get up and have to hold onto the counter by the couch while I wait for the dizziness to stop. I walk to the door, unlock it, then go back to lie down on the couch. "It's about time. Where are you?" asked Louis as he walked in. I raised my hand so he could see that I was lying on the couch. "What are you doing there? Wow, you look awful," said Louis as he walked over to where I was.
"Thanks, I know," I say, noticing that my voice is really hoarse.
"Did you break into the bar next door and drink all their beer?"
"Ha ha very funny, you know I am not old enough to drink."
"Sorry, seriously though, what's wrong with you?"
"Oh nothing, just some bad octopus."
"Oh! That makes sense, sorry I shouldn't have ordered you the octopus. Now that I think about it, the last time we went there, a couple of us did get sick because of the octopus." After Louis says this I look at him, horrified.
"You couldn't have remembered this before ordering me some octopus?!" I yell, and through a pillow at him.
"Sorry, it was just a joke, we didn't think you would actually eat it," he says shrugging. "Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Yes, you can go and eat some of that octopus and feel my pain." I say.
"Sorry, no can do. I have to rehearse all day with the boys remember? Anyways, I should be going, I have to be there by 8:15 and if I am late again, they are going to kill me."
"Okay, go ahead and leave me here in my misery. If I am dead when you get back tell whoever writes my obituary that I died a slow, painful, lonely death."
"Okay! See you later!"
Louis gets up from the couch, throughs the pillow back at me and leaves. Well, I guess I will be watching the movie channel all day, I think as I stretch my arm out to grab the remotes for the television.
"Hey boys, I am here on time!" I say proudly.
"For once," Zayn mumbles.
"What's shakin' bacon?" I say to Liam.
"Bacon," says Niall dreamily. "I am sooo hungry for bacon now."
"Great, noww you've done it," said Liam.
"Sorry Niall, no bacon today. Where's Harry?"
"We thought he was with you. He said that he was going to be with someone and we assumed it was you because you weren't with us," said Zayn.
"Well, he wasn't with me, I was with Ashley, who, by the way, is lying on her couch as we speak, sick as a dog."
"Oooh, the octopus huh?" said Liam. "I remember when that happened to us. I didn't think she would actually eat it all."
"That's what I said, but she still seemed a little angry with me."
Just then the outside door bangs open. "Hey guys, I am here!" said Harry breathing heavily.
"It's about time," said Liam.
"Hey, at least I beat Louis," said Harry.
"Actually, you didn't," I say while stepping out from behind a curtain.
"Oh, I just assumed...."
"Yeah, yeah. I understand. 'Little Louis is always late' well guess what, not today, boys!!"
"Little Louis? You're not little, if anything you're old," said Niall.
"Now you've done it Nialler, I am sooo gonna get you." I yell as I start chasing him.
"Boys! BOYS! Come on, we need to start rehearsal."
It's eight o'clock at night and I am still lying on the couch. I have been in and out of consciousness throughout the whole day and finally feel well enough to make myself some soup and sit up on the couch. I have been watching the Harry Potter movies all day and am currently watching the fourth one, while eating my soup when I hear someone knock on my door. I set my soup down on the coffee table and go to the door. When I open it all of the boys are standing there and have brought me some flowers and balloons.
"We thought you could use some cheering up," says Liam.
"I'm not dying you know."
"We know, but I've noticed how your apartment isn't very colorful," says Louis with a smirk.
"Wow, thanks. I was going to invite you all in, but after that I don't think so."
"Oh come on, at least let the rest of us in," says Harry.
"Okay you, Liam, Zayn, and Niall may all come in, but Louis has to stay out there. Thanks for the flowers by the way," I say to Louis as I close the door. Immediately we hear someone pounding on the door.
"Guys! Let me in! There's a killer on the loose and I don't want to be his first victim!"
"Alright, fine." I say as I let him in.
"Ahah, tricked you. I am the killer on the loose and I am here to kill all of you!"
Louis then starts to chase Liam around the living room pretending to hold a knife above his head.
"Stop!" I yell. "My head still hurts."
"Sorry!" They all say.
"Are you watching Harry Potter?" Zayn asks.
"Yep. So if you don't all mind, why don't we all sit and calm down and watch ourselves some Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."
I sit down in my original spot and the boys take the rest of the spots around me. At eleven o'clock the movie is over and everyone is feeling drowsy.
"We better get going. See you later." And Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Harry leave. I bring my empty soup bowl to the sink and turn around to find Louis still in my apartment.
"Can I help you?"
"Don't forget our plans tomorrow," he says winking. "We've gotta beat that high score and you need to make that ice cream."
I slap my forehead. "That's right! I totally forgot! I now have other plans, sorry." I turn around and finish cleaning up my kitchen.
"What?! You can't bail on me now! We had plans!" says Louis pouting.
"Well, that's just too bad," I say and turn around to see him pouting. I start to laugh,"I'm just joking. I never could forget. Plus, who else would I have plans with?"
"I don't know a secret person maybe? Like a spy!"
"Yeah, because I hang out with spies all of the time," I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
"You never know. Well, I better get going see you tomorrow," says Louis and starts walking to the front door with me following behind.
"Don't get lost on the way!" I yell to him down the hall before closing the door.
