1. Prologue

"We were kids. We were young, and we were foolish. We didn't know what love is. We made mistakes, we messed about, we did things we can't repair. We're best friends, we didn't care. But if I could go back and re-wind it all, do it all over again, I would. Anything to make things right.

I woke up to a knocking on my bedroom window, and I opened my eyes to see the rocks banging against the window. I groaned, throwing my pillow at the window, curling up in my duvet. Seconds later, a cold brisk wind flew into the room, as I heard the window slam shut.
"Go away Harray," I whined, as my best friend sat at the foot of my bed.
"Aww, can't an innocent boy visit his best friend?" he asked,
"Yes he can Harry, but not at four am in the morning!" I complained, sitting up as I did so. He just let out a low chuckle, rumbling the bed I was curled up in. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"I was bored," Harry moaned, looking through my shelf of DVDs.
"Yeah, well some people spend their time in the morning to sleep in, considering it is the beginning of the summer holidays and they don't have to look at their school once more ever again in their life!" I exclaimed, grabbing my pillow off of him.
"Wanna watch F-R-I-E-N-Ds?" Harry asked, knowing I wouldn't be able to say no. That TV programme is pretty much my life. Sad, I know.
"Season 5?" I asked, sitting up and shuffling accross as I did so, leaving room for him to sit beside me. As the opening tune blared light throughout the room, I placed my head in the crook of his neck, fixing my eye to the screen.

Yes, my best friend was Harry Styles. Yes, my best friend is in a worldwide famous boyband names One Direction. But did I care? No. Did that change anything? No. We've been best friends since we've both escaped diapers, Harry escaping slightly later than me, even if we were both the same age. Yes, I loved him. He loved me. But we didn't say anything, we just acted like nothing was to happen, like we were best friends.

As the last episode of Season 5 ended, I looked over to see Harry snoring lightly, his chest rising and falling. I smirked, noticing it was ten in the morning and everyone was most likely awake. I turned my head slightly, lining my lips with his ear, inhaled the air, and yelled,
"Wakey wakey, Eggs and Bacey!" I yelled, causing him to launch into the air, roll away in surprise and land on the floor with a load bang. I smirked, jumping up and giving a sly wave over my shoulder, making my way into the bathroom and changing into my outfit for the day. A pair of black skinny jeans, a white vest and a black cropped leather jacket. As I walked out, Harry was sat on my desk chair, frowning at me. "What?" I asked.
"You pushed me off the bed!" Harry yelled as if it was obvious.
"Actually, I didn't. I yelled in your ear and you decided to be Mr. Over-Dramatic, and roll off in a blimmin' act!" I denied, and he just laughed, nodding in agreement. "C'mon, I want bagels," I whined, pulling him down the stairs with me. I made my way straight to the freezer, pulling out a jar of jam and marmite for Harry. I still don't get how he can eat that stuff.
"Katie, there's a note on the table," Harry noted, sitting down on the breakfast bar. I took one glance at it, saying,
"Chuck it in the bin. Dad's gone to work," I simply said, handing him his breakfast.
"Mum?" he asked.
"Work also," I answered. Harry simply nodded, turning off his phone and sliding it across the table.
"I'll see you later Kay, Gemma wants me for... something," Harry explained, giving me a brisk hug and making his way out the door. I chucked the dishes into a bowl of hot, soapy water before collapsing onto the couch.

"Someone in love?" a voice said, causing me to jump and see my half-sister leaning against the door beam.
"No..." I cautiously said, and she just smirked.
"Oh c'mon, it's kind of obvious Katie," she teased, and I just frowned up at her.
"Okay Bekah, get this into your head. Shut- Up!" I ordered, and she laughed at me, patting my head.
"Awww, poor Katie Watie, so innocently in love," she teased, so I went back to my boring life staring at a blank television screen. "Katie, you need to make a move!"
"Look Rebekah, we've both agreed we'll both just be best friends. Nothing more, nothing less," I confirmed, giving her a knowing look. Just at that moment, a message beeped onto my phone, and I saw a video was attached. I opened it up to see Harry sat there, looking awkward.

"Hey Katie, I need to-" Harry started, only for his half sister to yell,
"Get on with it Harry!"
"Katie, you want to be my girlfriend?" Harry asked, giving a flirty smile. I just laughed, sending a text back saying...

"Wadiyasay?" Rebekah asked giving me a light smirk. I raised my eyebrows up at her, trying to work out what she just said. "What did you say?" she repeated.
"Yes," I squealed, and she started laughing.
"Awww, my poor sissy is in wove," she cooed, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Oh shut up, I got a reply," I said, and she just trudged up the stairs laughing at me.
I read the text, pausing before I replied.
"BEK! He asked me on tour. Yes or no?" I yelled up the stairs.
"Dunno!" she yelled back, and I could just imagine her shrugging whilst laying on her bed. I scowled, dialing in my mum's number.
"Hey babe, what's up?" she asked. I could hear her ruffling around her desk.
"Harry asked me to go on tour with him. Is that okay?" I asked, preparing for the worst.
"Sure hun!" she cheered, and my eyes just about popped out of my head.
"W-What?" I asked in disbelief.
"Sure you can go. You two have been friends forever, I don't see why I shouldn't have to worry," my mum explained before hanging up, saying she had to go back to work, something about a massive bill coming in.

I smiled, running up the stairs to pack my bag. But I did not know what this tour was going to bring, and by the end of the year nothing was the same.
