I woke up with the biggest hangover ever. It was a struggle for me to even make it into the shower. But when I let the steamy water roll from my head to my toes then I felt a little better. I stepped out of the shower and changed into my soccer shorts and a comfy hoodie. It felt amazing. I stood in the bathroom mirror and I swore I saw a zombie standing there. I popped two pills for my headache and made my way into the living room to watch the telly. When I walked around the corner I saw a buff guy lounging on my couch.
"AHH! ALESSIA! SOMEONE BROKE INTO THE HOUSE!" I yelled in 'horror'. The buff guy jumped up and rolled onto the couch onto the floor. I broke out into a fit of laughter, grasping my stomach for more air.
"What the hell mate?" The mystery man said leaning up and rubbing his temple. Oh, it was just Liam. I heard steps coming from the stairs and I turned around to see Harry running down in just his... boxers? And he had a curling iron for a weapon. Alessia was behind him, using him as a shield wearing a over sized t-shirt and underwear.
"A curling iron? What were you going to do curl them to death?" I said laughing. Harry rolled his eyes and threw the curling iron at me and it hit me in my nose. "Bloody hell, that really hurt!" I said rubbing the bridge of my nose.
"Don't play jokes like that Lou! You scared me!" Alessia said angrily. "And Liam, what are you doing on the floor?"
"Uh, I rolled off when your brother yelled someone broke in." He said finally standing up. He looked at Harry and gave a questioning look. Harry did some weird thing with his face and Liam understood and turned to look at Alessia then me.
"Well..." I said breaking the silence, still softly rubbing my nose.
"I'm going to put on some clothes." Harry said turning away. Alessia jumped on his back and he stumbled before regaining his composure. "What are you doing?" Harry asked chuckling a little.
"I'm to lazy to walk back up the stairs." She said pouting. He nodded and secured her legs before taking her upstairs. Since when did Alessia like Harry touching her legs? We needed a good brother to sister discussion, because I was obviously missing something. Liam stood there with his hands in his pocket looking kind of unsure of what he was supposed to do.
"If you want to shower, I can show you the way and you can borrow something of mine." He gave me a small smile and nodded.
"Thanks Louis." We walked upstairs and I showed him where the bathroom was, towels, etc. I grabbed him a hoodie and jeans and gave them to him. We wore the same size, weird? Yeah. I know. He left for the shower and I was left in my room. I sat on my bed fiddling on my phone.
Harry carried me all the way back to my room before bending down so I could easily slide off his back and on the floor.
"Thanks Harry." I said giving him a wink and walking towards my closet.
"That's all I get? I think I deserve a reward for carrying you so far!" He protested in a pouty voice.
"Sorry, friends remember?" I said not turning around, but for some reason I felt like he was smirking. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him. "Harry, this isn't something friends do."
"You didn't seem to mind my arm around you last night." His breath was on my neck, but I kept my composure. I couldn't let him know that I honestly enjoyed his warm breath on my neck.
"I was cold." I said trying to defend myself. He snickered a little.
"Right, cold." I huffed and grabbed some clothes and pulled out of his grasp. "You know Lessie, I think I know the perfect way for us to spend the rest of our sunday." He said smiling cheekily.
"Oh, and how's that?"
"Let me take you to the movies tonight." I turned around and saw an almost nervous expression on his face. I tossed his curls to the left to his head, waiting for my answer.
"The movies huh. Sure, why not?" His smile grew and he bowed his head a little.
"Good, good. Um, do you mind if some friends come?" I raised my eyebrow at him.
"What kind of friends?" I asked, hoping it wasn't any of his dumb jock head friends.
"Just Liam. And whoever his date might be."
"Okay, I don't care. As long as Lou can go..." I said. He sighed a little but nodded his head.
"Of course love, anything for you." He winked at me. I smiled at him.
"Okay, well how about you get dressed? And I'm going to take a shower." I said grabbing my clothes and walking out the door.
I hopped out of the shower and changed into Louis' clothes he let me borrow. Surprisingly I fit these clothes. The hoodie was a little tight on my arms whenever I bent them, but no big deal. I walked out of the bathroom and into the living room and heard Harry and Louis having a little argument.
"I don't care Louis."
"Well you should care."
"But I don't."
"Do you two ever stop?" I said laughing and taking a seat in between the two.
"I'm glad you finally got out of the shower, I have to tell you about tonight's plans." Harry said smirking at me. I nodded for him to continue. "Well, I asked Lessie if she wanted to go to the movies tonight, and I told her your going." He said and winked at me. I put my finger up to object but Louis cut me off.
"Movies? And I wasn't invited? I think you should remember who let you stay here." He said pointing fiercely at Harry.
"Actually Tomlinson, your going to. Lessie made sure." He said rolling his eyes. Louis grinned a victorious grin. Then he looked down for a second almost in defeat. "Hell, what's the matter now?" Harry asked annoyed. It was funny seeing how he acted with Louis. I thought he was pretty cool actually, not so much annoying.
"I don't have a date." He said. I just realized I didn't have a date either.
"Wow, funny. I don't have one either..." I said scratching my head. Harry put his face in his hands.
"Look, Liam just text Amber. Louis, text what ever girl would consider going with you." Harry said laughing a little towards the end.
"Ha ha. Actually I will text somebody."
I pulled out my phone and walked into the dining room and sat in a chair, alone from Liam and Harry. I searched my phone until I saw Scarlet's name.
'Hey! What are you doing tonight?' After I sent the text I sat my phone on the table and waited for what seemed like an eternity. It did take her a while to text back though...
'Oh, packing up some clothes.' She was packing clothes..? I wonder why.
'Why are you packing clothes?'
'Louis, I'm moving tomorrow.' My heart dropped when I read that text. Moving? No. She couldn't be. She can't. She just... can't leave me alone like this.
'What? Why? Since when?'
'Since the first day of school. I was already in the process of packing up. I didn't want to tell anybody because I don't like goodbyes. I'm sorry Louis, but I have to go. See you around... maybe.'
Wow, the way she just said goodbye was so... cold. She didn't even care about how anybody felt when she left it seemed like. The only girl I've liked since my sophomore year, the girl I've been trying to get to like me for over a year, the only girl I thought I would ever have a chance with. Gone. Just like that.
I walked back into the living room and sat in a recliner and lounged all the way out covering my face in my hoodie.
"Well? Do you have a date?" Harry asked. I shook my head back and forth. "What? Why?"
"She just... can't come. She won't be around anymore." I said sadly.
"What do you-"
"I don't want to talk about it." I said cutting Harry off. I walked upstairs and turned the corner to enter the hallway full of bedrooms and ran into my sister. I helped her up and started to walk away.
"Louis, what's wrong? You didn't laugh." She said smiling a little. I looked back at her and told her to follow me to my room. "Okay, spill." I sighed and laid face down into my bed.
"Scarlet. She's moving." There was silence for a few seconds after that and I felt another body sink down in my bed next to me. Alessia started rubbing comforting circles on my back.
"I'm sorry Lou. But it's not the end of the world." She said in a chirpy tone.
"I know, but I've liked her for so long. And I've tried so hard to get her to like me. And well, I guess it was all for nothing."
"You can find someone new, I promise. You will find somebody to take your mind of off her, and love you the way you need to be loved." I sighed and turned to face her and she gave me a small smile. "Don't be down in the dumps okay?" I nodded.
"Now you stay here, and I'm going to search for a date tonight for you." I shook my head back and forth.
"No, I'm not going anymore." She shot me a look and raised her eyebrow. I raised my eyebrow back and we just sat there for a few moments with your dumb expressions. I cracked first and started laughing, she laughed a little too before recovering.
"Yes you are Lou! Please please please please please." She said jumping up and down on the bed.
"OKAY, OKAY!" I said yelling and laughing. She stopped and landed on top of me.
"Good brother." She kissed me on my forehead before skipping out of the door.
I pulled out my phone to text Amber and see if she wanted to go to the movies.
'Hey Amber :)'
'Hey Liam :)'
'Want to go to the movies tonight?' I was anxious for her answer, I really hoped she said yes. Maybe the reason Louis was down was because he got rejected, that would suck.
'I can't tonight. I'm sorry :( I'm helping Ryan with some homework.' She was helping Ryan with homework? That bastard. He knew how much I liked her, he better not try anything with her. Anything.
'Okay, no problem. See you at school.' I threw my phone on the table and front of me and leaned back in the couch.
"What'd she say?" Harry asked me.
"She's 'helping' Ryan with his homework." Harry furrowed his eyebrows at me and I just shook my head. "He better not try anything with her Harry. He knows how much I like her, if he does anything..."
"I know bro. I know." Harry said patting my shoulder. Alessia came skipping down the stairs and sat on the coffee table in front of us.
"Oh gosh, what's wrong now Liam?" She asked noticing my expression. I scratched my head nervously.
"My date can't go." She put her face in her hands.
"Go figure, neither can Lou's and I promised I would find somebody to go with him tonight."
"Yeah, don't worry about me. If I can't find anybody then I can just hang with Louis I guess, well if he doesn't find anybody either."
"It'll be hard to find somebody for Lou. He's kind of picky with what he likes."
"Well what kind of a girl does he like?" Harry asked leaning forward.
"Well a girl with pretty eyes, long, curly, brown hair. Not to short, but not necessarily tall. And an amazing smile." I nodded as she finished and I looked over at Harry who had a thinking face.
"What are you thinking about mate?" I asked. He looked at me and smirked.
"I have the perfect girl. And she can bring a friend of hers." Harry winked at Alessia.
"The perfect girl eh?" She raised her eyebrow.
"Yes, the perfect girl."
"And she's bringing a friend?" I asked. He looked at me and nodded before pulling out his phone and proceeding to send a text.
"Well, who are they?" Alessia asked.
"That my love, is a surprise." Harry said smiling.
"I don't like your surprises." I said folding my arms.
"You'll like this one."
