"One time, for my girlfriend at the time, I took. Like twenty candles, lit them and put them on a bridge. Then put a picnic together for us. When that was done, and the sun had set, I went to her house. The bridge was close to her house, by the way. Anyways, I asked her to come out, that I had to show her something. Her excuse was, 'Sorry. It's too dark'."
A laugh escapes me. "Sorry. It's just... She was so stupid."
Then he starts laughing, "I know. Her loss. I got so mad; I kicked all the candles into the river. But it's okay. Now I have you."
My face gets hot again. "Yeah," I choke out.
"Here we are," we stop.
"The shop I was talking about."
He leads the way into the shop. The first thing that catches my eye is a 'Hello Kitty' stuffed animal. She's wearing a rainbow polka dot dress, holding a lollipop, and has a rainbow polka dot bow on her head. I go straight to her. Grab her, then take a good look around the store. I see colored pencils. Right next to the coloring books. Perfect. I go to them and grab three different coloring books and a pack of colored pencils that I don't have. Another look around the shop. I spot the books. And Harry. I go to him. He's looking at a book. "What 'cha lookin' at?"
"A sketch idea book. It's got some good ideas I think you should do."
"Cool. And here's a 'How to Be a Better Writer' book. Awesome."
"Let's get what I've got now and leave. 'Cause this place is awesome."
"Yeah. We can always come back."
"Before Judge's House?"
"It's a date."
We go to the checkout, buy my stuff, and leave. I put my purse in the bag with all my other stuff, so I only have to carry one bag.
