“Smile for the camera, Darcy!” you cooed softly as you video taped Darcy on the camera. Darcy giggled, reaching out and touching your arm, running her finger tips across your skin with interest.
“Reych? What are you doing?” A deep voice erupted from the doorway. You turned around to see Harry standing there, leaning against the door frame, watching you intently.
You turned off the camera and put it on the dresser next to Darcy’s crib. “I was recording her so when she’s older she can see how cute she is,” you smiled and Harry walked over to you, his green eyes shining bright.
“You’re so adorable,” he smirked slightly and kissed you gently.
**18 years later**
“Thanks for coming!” Darcy grinned happily, her eyes bright. She had Harry’s green eyes and his curly brown hair. She waved at her friends and greeted people who came to your house for Darcy’s 18th birthday party.
“Let’s open gifts!” Darcy grinned happily. You smiled and nodded, leading her and all the people she’d invited to the living room where gifts were piled up.
One by one you watched Darcy unwrap gifts. Each gift varied, from a $20 iTunes gift card, to lip gloss. No matter what, she always showed she was thankful. “Thank you!” she grinned happily.
“Looks like that’s-“
“Not quite, Darcy,” Harry smiled, cutting his daughter off after it seemed that all the presents had been opened. Harry glanced over at you, smirking slightly. You nodded and pulled out a tape from behind your back.
“Here ya go, sweetie,” you smiled, handing Darcy the tape. She smiled lightly and popped it in the dvd player. On the TV screen played little Darcy when she was just 9 months old. She giggled happily and then when the tape was over, Darcy walked over to the DVD player, popped out the tape and then ran over to hug Harry and you.
**20 years later**
You coughed weakly, your eyelids sagging with tire. You were awfully sick, and at your age, you knew you wouldn’t live past that. 70 years old. 70 years of fulfilment, yet only 50 years with Harry.
You laid in the hospital room, staring at the ceiling. Harry was holding your left hand, a few grey streaks coming out of his hair. He, too, was getting rather old. Dark framed glasses hid his green eyes.
Nothing felt the same anymore.
Then, the door opened. Darcy and her two children, Sam and Devon, were next to her. The twins had accelerated to the age of 15 last month, and they were getting so tall.
“Hey mom,” Darcy smiled, leading the twins to your side.
“Hi,” you smiled weakly, looking at her beautiful face. “Where’s Justin?” you asked curiously. Justin was her husband, and their anniversary was in May.
“He’s stuck in the office,” Darcy explained as the twins took a seat on the couch. “How are you?”
You felt so weak by now. You just shook your head and Darcy held your hand tight.
“It’s alright mom, you’ll get through this,” Darcy said, trying to be lightened by this.
“I just… I’m terribly sick on my birthday,” you frowned, staring at your feet as Harry gave your hand a light squeeze. You smiled at him lightly.
“That reminds me,” Darcy said and shuffled through her purse. “I got you something,” she said and handed you a tape.
You stared at it in confusion. “What is it?” you asked curiously.
“Let me show you.” Darcy smiled lightly. She gently took the tape and placed it in the hospital DVD player. It loaded for a minute before the video of Darcy at 9 months old popped up on the screen.
