2. Girls' Day

The next day I woke up to my phone buzzing. I picked it up groggily. "Hello?" I answered the phone in a tired voice.

"Did you hear? One Direction is back in England!" My best friend Sophie exclaimed.

"How interesting," I said sarcastically. Everyone had heard about One Direction. To me, their music was okay and I didn't care much more than that. They seemed like stuck up brats to me, but I shouldn't talk. I was spoiled rotten myself although I hated to show it.

Sophie on the other hand, was a full-out Directioner whose wall was plastered with all of the boys' faces. She recited random facts about them to me everyday, repeating the same one over and over again. She reported to me everything about them and dragged me to each of their concerts. But that was my fault. Since I was filthy rich I bought her tickets to all of the concerts they had in England. In return she brought me with her. It made her happy and it wasn't like the music was bad so I put up with it.

"Yeah! And there's a concert tomorrow night!" She yelled in the phone.

"Oh. Fun," I didn't try to hide my lack of enthusiasm.

"What will we wear? Can you get us into the meet and greet? Do you want to go out afterwards drinking?" She peppered me with questions.

"Umm we'll figure it out tomorrow, maybe and sure," I answered her.

"Can we go shopping today? Please! The sale at the boutique ends today!" She whined.

"Fine. I'll be at your house in twenty," I groaned.

"I'll make breakfast!" Sophie chimed and the line went dead.

Quickly I got dressed and grabbed my hand bag. I climbed into my Porshe and drove down the street to Sophie's house. I honked the horn and she came out running with a plate containing food. "Did I mention I love you?" She asked laughing as she climbed in. I beeped a hello to her mum and then we began driving off.

"Just take my phone and call the number to order the meet and greet passes," I sighed. She grinned and took my phone from the dash to call a number.

"Prices?" Sophie asked. I took the phone. I never told Sophie how much I spent on her and my parents didn't care either way.

"That'll be 930 pounds ($1500)  for both tickets. Is that amount okay?" The lady on the other end of the phone asked.

"Yes that's fine." I gave her the number to my credit card number so she could charge it.

"How much was it?" Sophie asked.

"It doesn't matter." I answered. The price was higher than normal but it was because it was so last minute and the first concert from them getting back from their tour.

Sophie and I headed out shopping to find comfortable yet cute outfits for the next night. I stuck with a cute pair of skinny jeans with an off the shoulder top while Sophie picked out a skirt and blouse. Then we went to the beauty boutique to get facials for the next day.

"Are we ready to go back  now? I want to go read at my spot," I complained.

"Wait like, three minutes," She replied day dreaming at a guy sitting a couple of tables away at the cafe we were at.

"Sophie we have to go!" I insisted twenty minutes later.

"Okay. Bye Jeremey," She flipped her hair and walked over to me bouncing with excitement from getting the guy's number.

After she completely elaborated on everything she had just learned about him in the car, we finally reached her house. "I'll be over around 6 tomorrow," I told her. She nodded.

"Bye Ellie!" She called as she left.

I sped off back to my house where I grabbed my book and headphones before walking towards the park. The sun was beginning to set right now and it looked dark in front of me. I had some fun today out with Sophie. I was looking forward to tomorrow night though. The girls' day was fun. Now to enjoy a peaceful night reading and listening to my music, in the park.
