4. Friday Night

The next day I was still thinking about the mystery guy. It was pretty stupid; i didn't know his name or what he looked like. But I was happy that he didn't know what I looked like either.

I spent my morning sleeping - I dragged myself out of bed at 2 o'clock. Then, I promptly went to get a massage downtown. It usually took about two hours which would get me home by four and give me about two hours to get ready for the concert.

I enjoyed the massage process and let my mind drift. Was it a date on Saturday? Of course not; we had just met. But look at Sophie and Jeremey. They just met and were planning a date.

Was the day before a date? No it wasn't because it wasn't planned. But he wanted me to have dinner with him. Dinner was nothing, he just had extra food.

I was so confused about it and tried to talk myself out of it. He isn't into you. He isn't into you I kept telling myself. I didn't want to get my hopes up just to have them let down again.

When the massage was over I felt pretty good. I went home to take a shower and my curls were outrageous while they dried. I pinned them to one side and put earrings in. If we were going out afterwards, I needed to look stunning. Sophie was probably getting dressed up to meet her idols - not because we were going out after.

Once ready, I grabbed my car keys and purse and drove to Sophie's. This time I cut the engine and walked inside. "You ready?" I called to her as I walked in.

"Just a second!" She replied. I laughed because she was never ready when I got here.

Finally, (after about ten minutes), she was ready to go. We set out and the concert was packed. I payed for vallet parking and we began the walk inside. "Can you at least pretend you're excited?" She asked me.

"I'm excited to go out after it," I supplied. Sophie sighed.

The concert was pretty good. They sang all of the songs from heir new album: Take Me Home. In addition to that they sang What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing. After the audience rawring for ten minutes, they came on and did three more songs as an encore.

"That was awesome!" Sophie screamed when it was over. We made our way to the service desk to get our meet and greet passes. From there, one of the workers lead us to a room that had a line of eight other people to see One Direction.

Everyone went in, in groups. Sophie and I were last. "Hello loves," Liam said to us when we walked in. All of the boys began hugging Sophie and came to me but I stepped back with a no thanks.

"A lot of people would pay to have our hugs," Harry said flirtasiously.

"She's not a Directioner. Just came with me," Sophie explained. The boys gasped.

"You're not a Directioner?" Louis asked. I shook my head.

"I like your music. I mean it's not bad but it's not my favorite," I told them. They gasped again.

"How can we change your mind?" Zayn questioned.

"It won't work. Trust me. I've tried," Sophie said.

"What if you get to know us?" Liam asked.

"Umm sorry my summer is kind of packed." I lied. "And we're going out tonight so we really must be going," I changed the subject trying to get Sophie out.

"You guys can come if you want," Sophie invited them. I sighed.

"We'd love to! Where are you going?" Harry exclaimed.

          "Leonard's club," Sophie answered.

"Sophie we really have to go," I insisted attempting to ignore the boys.

"We'll meet you there loves," Niall called to us as I dragged Sophie out.

"Good going Sophie," I told her sarcastically.

"Shut up. You know you loved them," She said.

"Can't we just go home?" I asked.

"And blow off One Direction? No!" She exclaimed.

"I don't like them. They're so stuck up just because one person doesn't like them," I replied.

"Please? For me?" She asked. That was Sophie's signature line. It worked on me so often I couldn't count how many times she had used it. For some reason I always gave in; even if it made things hell for me.

"Fine," I groaned. "But only because I love you," I added, (my signature response). She clapped her hands in delight and reapplied her make-up in the car as I drove. I fixed my make-up too; not because of One Direction but because we were at a club.

As Sophie and I walked inside a cute guy caught my eye. For a second it looked like it could be the guy from park but then I realized the details on the edges were off. I sighed and decided I needed alcohol to stop thinking about him.

Sophie and I took a seat at the bar first. I ordered a fruity martini and began sipping it. Sophie kept looking towards the entrance but I waved it off. I didn't care if One Direction came or not; I was just here to enjoy my night out.

I had moved out to the dance floor when they walked in. They were all laughing and spotted Sophie almost immediately. I ignored them and kept dancing with the guy I had spotted earlier.

The boys were sitting at the bar when I went back to order a shot. Before I could grab it Harry took it. Sophie began laughing hysterically as Harry ordered me another shot. "Not funny," I said as I waited once again.

After a while of dancing with the same guy, Niall cut in. "I was dared," He shrugged.

"Wow. Nice way to make me like you," I said sarcastically.

"So what do you have against us?" He asked. I shook my head.

"You guys should go," I told him.

"Well as long as you aren't a hater," He replied. Then he left the dance floor and I began dancing again.

At the end of the night Sophie reported to me that they wanted to meet up on Sunday and asked if I would go with her. I groaned a no but she used her signature line and I gave in.

Since I had sobered up a bit and my house wasn't that far away I drove us home where Sophie and I promptly crashed.
