Niall left our little hang out, to get a couple beers. He walked out, the music loud in the other room. Must be soundproof. I walk around the big room, seeking out a bathroom. I give up, and walk out the doors. The music hits me like a ton of bricks, and a couple people look over at me. I tuck my hair behind one ear, and hurry over to the bathrooms. A couple girls slap their boyfriends, as they watch me walk past. I walk faster, and spy Niall by the bar. Harry and Liam are on either side of him, and Niall seems nervous.Harry gives him a pat on the back, and I walk past them. I squeeze through the giant crowd on the floor, and walk into the women's room. A couple of girls are fixing their make-up, and glance at me. I run into a stall, and lock the door.
Why is Niall nervous? I think, as I do my business. Maybe they have to go on tour soon, and he doesn't want to tell me. I start to panic, and quick wash my hands. Abby. Don't be dumb. He could just want to go see his family, but doesn't want to leave you, I tell myself. I wash my hands, and take deep breaths. I run back out, wanting to find Niall again. He wasn't by the bar, but Harry and Liam were.
"Hey! Niall just went back into your little room," Harry winks. I roll my eyes, and rush over. I pull open the door, and Niall is sitting in a booth, with a beer in his hands.
"Hey Babe," I smile, pecking his lips.
"Hey," he smiles, but not as convincing. I sit close to him, our thighs touching. My white shorts are bright next to his dark jeans.
"What's wrong?" I ask. He smiles again, and kisses my temple.
"Nothing. Wanna dance?" He asks. That was what he said at the X-Factor party, our first 'date.'
"Sure," I murmur, sliding out of the booth. I wrap my arms around his neck, and feel his hands on my back. I lean my head on his shoulder, and feel his head on mine.
"Are sure nothings wrong?" I ask, breathing in his scent.
"Yep. Nothing's wrong."
"Are you leaving me?" I ask. Niall stops swaying, and I look up at him.
"No! Why would you ask that?!" Niall says.
"Not like that! As in, like a tour," I shrug.
"Oh," Niall starts swaying again, and I put my arms back around his neck. "No, not yet. We have a couple months off."
"Good. I don't want you leaving me,'' I say, swaying with him
I've lost all track of time. I look around the room, spotting a doggie clock next to the doors.
"Niall! It's three in the morning!" I gasp, and stop dancing.
"Oh wow. Do you want to go back home?" He asks. I nod, and take his hand. We would wave to the others, but they're making out. Niall leads me out of the room, the same boys looking at me. Niall stops dead in his tracks, and kisses me on the mouth, hard. I happily kiss back, but open my eyes a crack. Some boys look angry, some sigh and turn to their girls. I pull away, and tap my wrist.
"I know what you are doing," I say, passing Harry and Liam.
"They needed to know that you are mine!" Niall says, squeezing my hand. I roll my eyes, and we head into the night. Niall coughs, and pulls me tighter to him.
"It's cold out here," he says, rubbing his arm. I wait to feel cold too, but don't.
"Not really. Niall, do you feel okay?" I look at him.
"Yep. Just cold. So, who's house tonight?" He swings our arms, as we walk down the deserted sidewalk.
"Let's go to yours. It's so clean there," I wink.
"I only have the best," Niall laughs. Another burst of happiness shoots from my stomach, a million times stronger than butterflies. What is wrong with me?
"I wonder if Jayne and Josh are home yet," I say out loud, thinking.
"I don't know. Are they taking their relationship to the next level?" Niall wiggles his eyebrows, and I feel the happiness warm my toes.
"Yeah. He just moved in a couple days ago," I say, as Niall open the door to our apartment complex. We go into the elevator, and ride up.
"Really?" Niall says, bringing out the 'y'.
"Yep," I step into his house, kicking off my shoes. Niall does the same, and walks down the hall. I go into his room, while he enters the bathroom.
"I should do this for a living," I call out, picking up one of Niall shirts, and my short shorts.
"I could pay you in more ways than one," Niall laughs. It's a good thing he isn't in the room. He would see me blush. I quick change, and throw my clothes into the hamper. Niall walks in, pulling off his shirt.
"I'm going to brush my teeth," I murmur, sidestepping him.
"Okay," Niall says. He coughs again, and I look at him.
"Niall, do you have a cold?" I ask, stepping towards him.
"No, just a tickle," he says, smiling. I walk slowly back into the bathroom, and quick brush my teeth. I brush my hair, and wash my face. I pull my hair into a loose pony, and walk into the bed room. Niall's in bed, with the TV on.
"I love it when you wear my shirts," he comments, while I crawl into bed. I snuggle into his arms, while we watch some episode of the big bang theory.
"I love it too. They smell like you," I yawn.
"I don't get it," I murmur, looking at Niall. He's sleeping. I poke his nose, but he's out. I run my fingers through his hair, untangling it.
"You know what?" I whisper. "I think I'm falling in love with you. But I'm scared to tell you, when you're awake. Because you night not feel the same about me," I sigh. I know I should tell him, but the guy has to say first. Right? I turn off the lamp and TV. Niall's arms wrap around me. Even in his sleep, he wants to snuggle. I fall asleep, next to the boy who has taken my heart.
