One Week Later:
I stared at the telly, shocked.
No she didn’t. No she couldn’t have. She couldn’t be the same girl.
But watching her getting interviewed by The Talk, I knew deep inside that it was her.
Then she showed the interviewer a mark on her neck.
“What’s that darling?” the reporter asked then beckoned the cameraman to zoom in on it.
I could tell by the smug expression on her face that she already knew what it was; she just wanted a live confirmation.
The blonde from last week smiled at the camera, then announced quite loudly, “It’s a love bite. Harry’s love bite to be exact.”
“So you’re claiming that Harry Styles of One Direction did that to you?” the reporter asked.
“Uh-huh,” she nodded eagerly.
How had I not seen what a complete nut she was?
“Harry’s an asshole and he broke my heart,” she whined.
“Why don’t you tell us what happened.”
“Sure,” she wiped away a non existent tear. “Well, I went to their concert and met Harry. I wanted to be friends with him. I did not come onto him.”
Pfft. What a load of bull. She was literally humping me in the hotel corridors. I had to fight to keep my trousers on.
“Go on darling,” the reporter urged.
“Well,” she began, “suddenly Harry kissed me.”
Nah-uh. She kissed me and shoved her tongue into my mouth.
“Harry made the first move?”
The ‘Blonde’ liar nodded. “Yes. Then suddenly I felt his hands go under my shirt, and the next thing I knew my top was off.”
More like she ripped mine off.
“He had pulled it off,” she continued,” and started tearing off my bra strap.”
“In the corridors?” the reporter asked, forcing on a stunned expression that was as fake as her accent.
“Yeah, but I stopped him,” the Blondie lied.
WHAT? This was a load of shit. I stopped her. I didn’t want any fans to catch me doing it at the concert.
“Yeah, then he took me up to his room.”
“Have you had sex before?”
“No,” she blushed. “Only then.”
“Harry Styles was your first?”
“Then what happened in the morning?”
“He threw me out of his room with nothing?”
WHAT? She took my favourite sweater for Kevin’s sake.
My phone rang suddenly, making me jump in surprise.
I checked it and my eyes literally popped out of my head.
‘Uncle Si’ it read.
I let the phone ring for as long as he was able to call.
He was the last person I wanted to face right now.
The absolute last.
“Haz, you gonna answer that?” Liam asked as he walked by and plopped down next to me on the armchair.
“Uh… what?” I asked, disoriented.
“Your phone…. It’s ringing,” he replied with a confused expression.
With no such hesitation, I grabbed my iPhone and tossed it to him.
“Oi,” he complained.
“Answer it please Li,” I begged.
He checked the screen and understanding dawned.
“Ya owe me one,” he muttered then got up and went out to the balcony.
The last thing I heard was Liam saying, “Uncle Si!” then I collapsed onto the white plush sofa.
v v v
“Wake him up now!” I heard an undeniably familiar voice order.
Uncle Si was here already.
I didn’t bother waking up.
One thing me and the lads knew was, never ever cross Uncle Si when he was mad.
He’d fire you as much as look at you then order himself a glass of chocolate milk to calm himself down.
“Uncle Si,” I heard Liam say. “He needs a rest right now before he hears what you’re gonna say.”
“No Liam,” Uncle Si disagreed. “Harry is going to hear this whether he likes it or not. His behaviour of late is getting us bad publicity.”
“But does that really warrant this?” Louis asked.
No one spoke, but I got the distinct feeling that Uncle Si was nodding.
“Harry needs to grow up,” he continued. “He either does this for the next three months or so, or he’s in the doghouse.”
“But--,”Liam started but stopped instantly.
I kept my eyes tightly shut.
What the heck were they talking about?
What would I be doing for the next three months? WHAT?
“Well then,” I heard Niall say then the couch creak, “I’m gonna go grab some food.”
“Niall, get me a chocolate milk please,” I heard Uncle Si ask.
The room want into total silence.
No one said anything.
The only sound I could hear was the anchorwoman yapping on about an heiress to the Reese Empire or something like that, breaking a lot of hearts.
“No comment,” I heard a demanding feminine voice say then the news went back to the oil spill in Russia.
“That’s her?” I heard Lou ask cryptically.
No one answered.
Deciding that I’d rather face Uncle Si now before he got even more angrier, I stretched my arms and opened my eyes innocently as if I hadn’t eavesdropped on their convo.
“He’s awake!” Lou announced out loud to their room.
Only Liam and Uncle Si turned around eyed me.
Liam looked sad and uncomfortable, whereas Simon had a look that could definitely make Lord Voldermort cry out for mercy.
“Oh hey Uncle Si,” I exclaimed innocently as I ruffled my curls a bit and forced a smile at him.
He didn’t say anything at all.
I stared at him for what felt like an hour. He never once faltered or lowered his eyes but stared at me defiantly and challengingly. I met his eyes, knowing that he didn’t like any sign of weakness.
“Harry,” he finally said.
I waited for him to continue.
“Do you have idea what the implications your actions of late are?” he asked his voice as calm and serene as the sea.
I shook his head.
“Harry,” he began,” CD sales have dropped, merchandise sales have decreased and the tabloids have been saying that you’re a heartless rockstar that cares nothing of anyone. All because of Jane Finn.”
My brows cringed in confusion.
“Jane Finn?” I asked. “Who’s Jane Finn?”
Simon’s eyes narrowed.
“You don’t remember her?” he asked.
“No,” I replied. “Should I?”
“She’s been on every news channel since the incident.”
“Is she an actress?”
“She’s the blonde you slept with, Styles,” Simon lost his cool and calm voice. “This proves it.”
“Proves what?” I asked as Niall came back into the room and gave Uncle Si a glass of chocolaty goodness.
“That I’ve made the right decision,” he answered curtly before chugging down his glass of chocolate milk.
His narrowed eyes unnarrowed as he rubbed his eyes.
I finally realized that Uncle Si looked tired and weary.
The lads did too.
“Uncle Si, you alright?” Liam asked.
He just nodded.
“Liam, can you get yourselves there tomorrow?” Simon asked.
Without another word, Uncle Si went out the front door, leaving me confused and utterly curious.
“What was that about Li?” I asked Liam as the rest of the lads went back to watching Revenge.
The words that came out of Liam’s mouth were really shocking, leaving me gob smacked.
I had heard of this happening to other people but I didn’t think it would happen to me.
It naturally changed my life.
Liam smiled at me half-heartedly and placed both his hands on either sides of my shoulder as if to keep me from collapsing.
“Management got you a girlfriend for three months Haz,” he informed me.
