Gabby poked me. “I’m gonna go find Matt.” She said.
I chuckled and nodded. “Don’t be too creepy!” I joked.
“Ha ha ha.” Gabby mocked.
I giggled and turned back to the stage. The boys were currently singing Still The One. As the song closed, Liam, Louis, Zayn and Niall grabbed water bottles for themselves.
“For the last few songs, we’re gonna do something special.” Harry said, taking a bottle from Louis. He sipped from it and placed it on the floor beside him.
The music to She’s Not Afraid started. Harry sat on the edge of the stage. Louis, Liam and Zayn filled his sides. Niall hopped down, followed by the rest of the boys. I walked closer.
The boys fanned out through the crowd. I felt a hand on my hip. I turned around quickly, losing balance. I fell into his arms.
“Hello love!” He said in a cute accent.
“Hi H-h-harry-y.” I stuttered.
“You’re cute when you’re nervous.” Harry replied, stroking my cheek with his thumb.
“Thanks.” I blushed, dropping my head to the ground. I locked my eyes on my feet.
“Hey hey, you’re beautiful. Show it.” Harry whispered, before lifting his mic to sing. “She’s not afraiDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!” He sang, growing louder at the end.
The boys joined back in, making their way back up to the stage. Harry stayed with me.
“Don’t be afraid babe.” He said, brushing his lips against my cheek. I could feel the redness growing. Harry slipped his hand into mine, interlocking our fingers. He guided my other hand to his shoulder. “Dance with me.”
I rested my hand lightly on his shoulder. We swayed back and forth slowly to the rock beat. Harry pressed his forehead against mine, singing the last words. He blew in my face, teasingly.
Harry kept a strong hold on my hand as he pulled to the front with him. He hopped up on the front and sat. Harry patted the spot next to him, motioning for me to come up. I climbed onto the stage and sat next to Harry.
Niall sat beside me with his guitar. He plucked the strings and began playing. Liam started.
“Am I asleep or am I awake? Or somewhere in between? I can’t believe that you are here and lying next to me. Or did I dream that we were perfectly entwined. Like branches on a tree, or twigs caught on a vine.” Liam sang.
“Like all those days and weeks and months I tried to steal a kiss. And all those sleepless nights and daydreams where I pictured this. I’m just the underdog who finally got the girl. And I am not ashamed to tell it to the world.” Niall soloed.
“Truly, madly, deeply I am. Foolishly, completely falling and somehow you kicked all my walls in. So baby say you’ll always keep me. Truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you. In love with you.” Louis and Harry sang together. Harry looked at me, and placed his hand swiftly on my knee.
“Should I put coffee and granola on a tray in bed and wake you up with all the words that I still haven’t said. And tender touches just to show you how I feel. Or should I act so cool, like it was no big deal.” Liam sang.
“Wish I could freeze this moment in a frame and stay like this. I’ll put this day back on replay and keep reliving it. Cause here’s the tragic truth if you don’t feel the same. My heart would fall apart if someone said your name.” Zayn continued.
“Truly, madly, deeply I am. Foolishly, completely falling. And somehow you kicked all my walls in. So baby say you’ll always keep me. Truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you.” Harry sang with Louis.
“I hope I’m not a casualty. I hope you won’t get up and leave. Might not mean that much to you but to me it’s everything. Everything.” Lou carried on.
“Truly, madly, deeply I am. Foolishly, completely falling. And somehow you kicked all my walls in. so baby say you’ll always keep me. Truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you. In love with you. In love with you. In love with you.” They finished.
The crowd cheered. The boys stood up. Harry reached his hands down and pulled me up. He slipping his hand back into mine. Louis, Liam, Zayn, Niall, and Harry bowed. I stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do.
