"For God's sake Lily would you hurry up!" Ollie shouted while banging on my bedroom door. If my parents were around, which they never are, they would be screaming back at him.
"You can coming in you know, I never told you to wait outside my door! You're my best friend remember, you've already seen everything!" I replied, and that was true Ollie and I have been best friends since year 1 when we used to have competitions to see who would be the first to the park, I always won although Ollie would never admit that. We've seen each other go through everything growing up, when I first got my period, Ollie awkward stages of puberty and me and my messed up family.
"Oh yeah sorry." He appeared in my room dressed in a burgundy crew neck jumper and dark blue jeans, his blonde hair was messy, as usual. "Lil you still haven't gotten out of bed it's already 12:30!"
"Well it's a Saturday and I'm sorry I don't have as much will power as you to get myself out of bed early, besides we'll just be fashionably late!" That was my best excuse, I was extremely tired after staying up until 4am skyping my brother, Logan who lives in the US.
"We can't be late today though, you know how my parents can be sometimes." said Ollie going through my closet trying to pick out clothes, as if I was going to let him choose my outfit. He was acting differently, this wasn't the laid back care free guy I was used to.
"Okay I'll get up just give me 5 minutes." I closed my eyes again.
"Oh no you don't" He grabbed me by my ankles and started pulling me out my bed. Luckily with my quick reactions I held onto the metal bars of my headboard making sure I wouldn't budge. "Right that's it." Ollie jumped onto my bed so he was now straddling me. I knew what was coming but it was too late.
"Noooo..........pleasee...i..I'll get up now!" I screamed while trying to wriggle myself out of his grasp, he knew tickling was my weak spot. But he didn't stop at all. "Pleasee Oliver!"
"I'll stop if you say; I love Ollie Barker he is my idol."
"I hate Ollie Barker and he can kiss my ass!" I screamed at the top of my voice and smirked. At least that got him to stop.
"Bitch." Ollie crossed his arms in a huff.
"Oh calm down, at least I'm up now." I replied, "Now what should I wear, is this lunch casual or formal?" I didn't even know why I agreed to go to this they weren't my parents, they were Ollie's but he insisted I came since we both hadn't seen them for a few months. The day Ollie turned 18 he moved out of his parents house into an apartment on his own which he calls 'The Lad Pad' the name makes me cringe. His parents were like second parents to me and today we were going to see them as well as his older brother whom I had never heard of or seen before. I wonder why Ollie never told me about him.
"Whatever." Ollie said bluntly, he was angry.
I felt bad, kinda. I wrapped my arms around his waist from behind. "I'm sorry, you know I love you." I kissed his cheek.
"It's casual, you've met my parents a thousand times, they're not expecting much from you." He replied.
"Thanks for that." So his parents that I was a slob, great. "What about your brother?"
"Oh he's no posh tottie either, he won't give a damn, as long as you have boobs and a butt he's satisfied."
I slipped off my pyjama top, "Hey where'd my shirt just go?!" I was standing with my hands on my hips wearing only my hot pink bra and short pyjama shorts. I looked up at Ollie who was waving my top around.
"Babe you should think about cutting down on all those crisps have you seen yourself lately." said Ollie.
"Oh shut up, I don't even eat crisps!" I whacked him on the chest. I didn't have a problem with my weight, thanks to my mum I had a good figure and fast metabolism.
"You sure about that, I mean look at those love handles." Ollie put his hands on my waist pressing real hard on my hip bone and pulled me close to him. If a stranger saw us right now they would think Ollie was about to kiss me.
"I KNEW YOU TWO WERE MORE THAN FRIENDS AND NOW I HAVE PROOF!" I heard someone scream from far away. I turned around and saw my windows wide open with my nosy neighbor Amy staring right at us with her camera in her hands.
"I GUESS YOU CAUGHT US THEN!" Ollie shouted back and pretended to make out with me. I couldn't help but laugh, this would never happen in a million years, me and Ollie? No fricken way.
"EWW I THINK I'VE SEEN ENOUGH!" She replied closing her curtains.
"I hate her so much." I replied. I don't really care what people think of me but it's just frustrating explaining mine and Ollie's friendship to every single one of his girls, it's exhausting.
"Don't worry about her. Now come on and get changed, you're distracting me!" He said looking down at my chest area. Sure he had seen me naked tons of times but as we got older we both found it a little harder to control our hormones.
"Just don't look then, and give me back my shirt!"
"I can't help it Lil, why'd you have to be so damn hot." Ollie tossed my white lace top back and I quickly put it on as well as my black skinnies and I tied my notty brown hair in a messy bun.
"You're not too bad yourself." I replied, "Let's go."
As usual the car ride wasn't quiet.
"You know if you weren't my best friend things would be really different." Said Ollie.
"Yea I wouldn't have to be dragged by you all the time."
"I didn't mean that." He replied, it was obvious what he meant.
"I know what you meant I don't want to talk about it, you've got a girlfriend remember and I'm not interested."
The rest of the journey was quiet, I was angry, Ollie had crossed the line.
"I'm sorry Lil." said Ollie before we got out the car.
I just nodded, I wasn't ready to forgive him yet.
"Lily it's so nice to see you dear, I'm glad we managed to get you both over again." Ollie's mum Tara engulfed me in a huge hug. "The others are in the living room, I'll join you in a sec I just need to talk to this best friend of yours."
I nodded and walked to the living room where I was greeted by Mark, Ollie's dad but there was no sign of his brother, why was I so intrigued to meet him?
"Help yourself to a drink Lily, you know where they are." said Mark.
I was blocked from the fridge by a tall unfamiliar figure, I instantly knew who it was.
"Shit, what are you doing!" He turned around, I think he was shocked to see me.
"Nice to meet you too." I replied moving past him to get my drink.
"Excuse me?" He blocked me again. This time I took a few seconds to look at him. Ollie was the spitting image of him except his brother had brown hair and was taller with a few more muscles and a sleeve of tattoos.
"I said nice to meet you too." I repeated myself.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"What are you doing here?"
"I was invited it this 21 questions or something because I definitely didn't agree to this."
"It can be if that's what you want."
"No thanks I think I'll just grab my drink and go." I replied, I was glad Ollie's brother wasn't around when I was younger.
"Don't start something you can't finish." He stared at me.
"I see you've met Owen." said Ollie, he was leaning against the door frame.
"So that's his name." I replied.
"You've been here for 15 minutes and you haven't managed to ask him that simple question." Ollie tsked.
"Well he didn't really introduce himself." I replied.
"Like you even made an effort." Owen snapped, "Bro your girlfriend sure is a feisty one, how'd you manage to do that."
"I'm not his girlfriend!" I interrupted angrily storming out the kitchen. I needed to calm down, luckily Ollie's parents had disappeared from the living room so I had a few seconds to myself.
"Hey you forgot your drink." I looked up, great the person I just wanted to see.
"I'm not thirsty anymore." I pushed it away.
"Yeah right." He scoffed sitting next to me on the couch. "So there's really nothing going on between you and my brother."
"Why do you care." I replied not looking at him.
"Don't even think about it Owen." said Ollie, I didn't even realize he was in the room, "She's my best friend."
"Can't a guy have some fun every now and again?"
"Lily's off limits, remember what we talked about?" Ollie said sternly. What had they talked about?
"What!" I raised my voice.
"Don't you worry your little head." Owen smirked, ruffling my already messed up hair. I got up in a huff and sat on a chair on the opposite side of the room. "Woah, well someone's on their period."
"Fuck off." I snapped. it wasn't even true. I was expecting my best friend to stand up for me but he just sat there in silence.
"C'mon Lily don't be such a brat." Owen whined.
"Me, being a brat? I'm not the one insulting people I barely know and keep secrets from them!"
"Well why would I want to share my secrets with a stranger then?" He answered back.
"I've had enough, bye Ollie see you at school." I kissed his cheek, completely ignoring Owen.
"How do you suppose to get home? I saw you drive here with Ollie." Owen asked why did this guy have to be so annoying.
"There's no way you can do that." He was testing me.
"Easy, you just put one leg infront of the other and voila, it's called walking and if you pick up the pace a little that's running which I am also capable of." I had a smug look on my face.
See you later Lil, I'll tell my parents you had to leave." Ollie laughed at my comment.
It took me about an hour to get home, I was walking rather slowly and I may have made a few wrong turns along the way when I wasn't paying attention.
"Shit!" I muttered, searching through my pockets, I forgot to take my keys with me, meaning I was locked outside my own house since the only other person who had keys to my house apart from my parents was Ollie and I'd left my phone in his car so I was stuck I was too tired to go anywhere else so I just sat on the steps and prayed that Ollie would drive past my house on the way home.
