"Okay, all we're getting is air freshener and medicine." Jerry said.
"We're going to look for carsick medicine, and Mark and Izzy, I hope we can trust you to look for air freshener?" Mom asked.
"You can!" Mark said.
"I promise." I assured them.
"Hope so!" Mom said, doubtfully.
"We don't want this to take over five minutes." Jerry added.
"Got it." Mark nodded.
We walked through the aisles looking for air freshener picking up candy and snacks (and apparently beef jerky) along the way.
"Air freshener!" Mark sang, as we reached the right aisle.
"Which scent..." I looked through the options, and sprayed a sample as I went. "Ocean Breeze?"
"Ew, smells like rotting seaweed."
"How about Fresh Lily?"
"Naw, there's this girl Lily in my school, well my OLD school, and she smelled like Ocean Breeze, and it will just bring back bad memories."
"Ooh, Citrus Sunrise?" I sprayed some.
"Agreed." I gasped. "SUGAR RUSH AIR SCENTS?! THEY HAVE IT IN PINK VANILLA!"
"Oh, look, Fresh Car Scent! It says that it covers up any old scents and blocks new ones."
"Sold!" I agreed, and started strolling back down the aisle.
"Wait." Mark stopped me. "We've got a solid two minutes. We should have a shopping cart race!"
"I like how you think. Okay, get me a shopping cart."
"Got it!" He quickly got a cart, a stopwatch, two pillow, and a string. "Tie the pillows around your waist in case you crash. And hurry up, we only have a minute!"
I did as I was told. "Wait, who do I race against?"
"Okay, we'll call this training because we don't have competitors."
Mark got the stopwatch ready. "Okay... three... two... one!" He pulled me back a few paces and then sent me speeding towards the cash register! I could see the rest of the gang on the line.
"Where are they?" I could hear Jerry say.
Emma looked towards me. "Isn't that Izzy... AAH!" She screamed, then I screamed, then I crashed into her. And then she puked... and some of it got on me.
Mark caught up to us and sprayed some of the air freshener where she puked.
"Are you okay girls?" Mom asked, alarmed. The cart was upside down on top of me and Emma was on her back against the wall, with puke on her.
"Well, nothing's broken." I struggle to get up. "My knee really hurts."
"I think I'm okay." Emma got up. "I feel like poo though."
"Yeah... can you make that fast?" Jerry asked the cashier.
