3. Realisation Dawns
I left the building and walked down the street and sat on the curb, away from everything and everyone. All the power and energy from earlier, had now left me and it suddenly dawned on me, I have no job and no income. I sat and let a few silent tears fall down my face. There was a low rumble overhead and I looked up as the rain started pouring down.
I was driving home when I saw her. She looked like she had been sitting there for a while as she was drenched. I pulled over on the opposite side of the road to where she was and looked and watched her. She was wearing a suit skirt and jacket and high, black, shiny heels. Her hair looked quite long and brown, but it was very wet. She looked up at the sky and I saw mascara all down her face. Her eyes were also red and puffing, presumably from crying. I watched her as she sighed and stood up, dropping her bag. She quickly gathered up the belongs and stood up again. She started walking but before long she tripped and she took off her shoes and started walking barefoot, to wherever she was going. I was so caught up it watching her that I didn't even think to go and help her. I jumped out of the car but I was too late. I ran to the place where she was sitting and found a photo. It looked like her, she had blonde hair and brown/green eyes. She was gorgeous! I turned the paper over and saw writing on the back 'Snaps from Summer <3'. It looked like a brand name, as it was repeated and spaced neatly across the back. I walked back to my car and drove home. I was going to find this company and hopefully the girl in the photo.
