Life is great for Jamie Sullivan. Everything seems to be falling place. She has her family around her and she's having the time of her life with the boys One Direction-Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and the love of her life, Niall Horan. And she is truly, genuinely happy. She couldn't possibly ask for anything more. But nothing is permanent. When a stranger somehow connected to her past enters her life, things start to change. How will these 'changes' affect the relationships between Jamie and the boys, especially the one with Niall? Will this stranger make Jamie's life better than it already is? Or will she lose the happiness she's been trying so hard to hold on to?

30. Two months, two calls

*Jamie's P.O.V*

I rolled onto my stomach, not yet fully awake. The hours of sleep that I'd gotten, although limited, had put me into a better mood. The headache was gone, my throat felt fine and I was generally in good health. Nevertheless, I was reluctant to open my eyes because the bed was so warm and I was too comfortable to get out of bed. But as I groped around for another warm body that I could wrap my arms around, I frowned and my eyes fluttered open.

"Niall?" I called, looking around. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes before heading to the toilet to brush my teeth and brush through my hair, wrapped in a blanket.

I proceeded to walk out of the room, where I was pleasantly surprised by the aroma of freshly cooked pancakes and maple syrup. My steps quickened as I felt my stomach growl. Good to know that my appetite was back.

"Well good morning, miss!" Louis greeted cheerfully, as he stuffed a forceful of pancakes into his mouth. I realised all the boys were here-and so was Eleanor.

I walked over to Niall, who was in his seat and was stuffing his mouth, until he saw me approaching and stood up to pull out the empty seat beside him, gesturing for me to take a seat.

"Thank you," I said politely. I struggled with the bulkiness of the blanket so I discarded it onto the floor-I'd pick it up later.

"Anytime, princess," he replied, leaning down to kiss my lips.

I could hear snorts of disgust from around the table, mostly from Lou.

"Please! Not around the children!" he teased. I picked up a grape from the bowl in front of me and threw it in his direction. It hit him on the forehead before landing on his plate. He happily picked it up and popped it into his mouth.

"Thanks for the grape!"

I laughed as I watched Harry steal some food from Lou's plate when he turned to talk to El.

"Would you like some pancakes, miss?" Harry, who'd been manning the stove and had a pink apron on, asked with a posh English accent.

"Yes, I would love some. Thank you, sir," I replied with a similar accent.

Never mind that I hadn't showered or was still in my night clothes in front of One Direction, I was eating pancakes cooked by Harry Styles. What a brilliant start to the day. This got me in a good mood which helped me from remembering that they'd be leaving tomorrow and I'd be alone in the flat, without Niall.

"So," I started, swallowing my last forkful of the delicious blueberry pancakes."To what do I owe this pleasure of having all of One Direction-"

"And Eleanor!"Louis interjected.

"And Eleanor," I continued,"sitting in the kitchen?"

"Well, we wanted to spend the whole day with you before we left," Liam said matter-of-factly, his voice disappearing towards the end.

"Oh, it's not like it's going to be forever till we see each other again! Itll only be, like what, two months?"

"Two months is a long time," Niall murmured sadly.

"It'll be over before you know it," I reassured, trying to make him feel better. "And you'll have lots of fun!"

"Why can't we have fun with YOU?"

"Because your fans love you and want to be able to listen to you live, watch you perform and watch your shenanigans on stage," I teased, ruffling his hair. It was much longer now so his quiff had gotten taller. Personally, I prefer his hair shorter but at least I could play more with his longer hair.

The boys laughed.

"Remember that time when we pulled Harry's trousers down on stage?" Liam chuckled.

"Yeah," Louis replied, a smug grin on his face. He had a mischievous look in his eyes. My stomach hurt from all the laughing as the boys recounted all the pranks they played on stage and how they'd change the lyrics to some of their songs in the name of fun. Eventually, we all finished our breakfast and our stomachs were satiated.

"Thanks for those lovely pancakes, Hazza," Louis thanked cheerfully, as the rest of us mumbled our thanks too. Harry smiled, his dimples showing clearly.

"Anytime. Maybe next time we could have my special fajitas for breakfast," he suggested.

"Yeah!" Niall agreed quickly and eagerly.

"Right, enough about food," Zayn chuckled. "Jamie, you should go take a shower."

"Yeah you're stinking up the kitchen," Louis joked. Eleanor slapped him at the back of his head.

"Thanks El," I said, suppressing a smile.

She smiled sweetly at me.

"We wanna take you out today and show you a proper good time," Zayn continued.

"Yeah we meant to spend the whole day with Jamie!" Harry shouted ecstatically.

"The WHOLE day?"

"Bob's your uncle!" Liam replied cheerfully. "We won't be able to see you for another two months."

"Where are we going?" I asked, curious.

"It's a surprise," Niall stated, grinning cheekily.

I hurried to the toilet to take a shower and tried to not keep the boys and El wait too long for me. After getting dressed, I headed back out and Niall told me how amazing I looked and all that pish posh which I felt as extremely sweet and thanked him for it as we hopped into the car. Eventually, we arrived at our destination-the O2 arena. It was insane to imagine that many people watching you on stage but it was also amazing to think that so many people adored these boys. We spent some time there just fooling around-I even got to watch the boys do an impromptu performance and rehearsal when Josh and Dan, their drummer and guitarist respectively, came down to join us. I also got to practice my drumming cover of WMYB which must have been pretty decent because all the boys clapped after I ended. Or perhaps they were just being nice. Then, all of us went for lunch together before Josh and Dan left. We got back to the flat and decided to have a movie marathon besides playing some classic party games like Twister where we all ended up in a tangled heap, laughing like we were mental. All in all, it was a fantastic day with the boys. I'd miss spending time with them like this for the next two months. As I lay in Niall's arms on the floor in the living room(we decided to have a sleepover after everyone had gone back to finish packing first), I tried not to think too much about the next two months. Would anything change? Would Niall still feel the same way about me after two months apart? He'd be travelling around the world, seeing new places, meeting new faces, while I'd be here, waiting for him and the boys to come home. Before going to sleep, I got up and kissed all the boys who were already fast asleep on their forehead. I couldn't stop smiling as I saw Louis' arms wrapped in  tight embrace around Eleanor, his face buried in her hair. I quietly and carefully crawled back to the Irish one and resumed my position. And before I closed my eyes, I pressed my lips to his and turned towards him to study the features of his face as I drifted off to sleep.

The next day, everyone had to wake up early. The boys had to head out to the performance venue early to get their hair and make up done, put on the clothes that had been specially designed for them and do the sound check and what not. They'd be performing in the O2 arena here in London for two nights before flying off to another country so at least I knew that they were relatively nearby. And management literally forbade me to go anywhere near them when they were on tour, which I found incredibly rude and inconsiderate, so this would technically be the last time I could see and touch them in person for the next two months. This was why I clinged onto the boys and hugged them tight, holding on much longer than usual and gave each a kiss on each cheek. Except for Niall. We had a little moment to ourselves where we just held each other. I breathed in his cologne as I buried my face in his neck. I'd miss him terribly. I'd miss the way he chuckled, I'd miss those cheeky winks and grins, I'd miss his Irish accent, I'd miss how he'd play with my hair when I put my head in his lap and most of all, I'd miss his long, gentle, warm kisses which always made light-headed. I am madly in love with this boy.

Eventually, I had to let him go. And it felt like he was taking a piece of me with him.

"I''ve given you my heart to take care of. Take good care of it," he joked, holding my hand. "Keep it with you always. I'll return soon to take it back."

"You had my heart the first time we met," I told him. Yeah, meeting a girl behind a dumpster must have been terribly romantic.

His eyes sparkled and he kissed the top of my hand. "I'm deeply in love with you, Jamie Marie Sullivan."

"It's Smith now," I teased.

"Either way, I am and always will be deeply in love with you, Jamie."

"As am and will I, Niall James Horan," I murmured kissing his cheek.

"Are you two done? We're going to be late?" Louis whined, after finishing his farewell with El.

"You better go," I laughed.

"Yeah. I'll be back soon, I promise," Niall said firmly.

"You better," I replied, watching him get into the large GMV with tinted windows. They waved frantically at El and I as they drove away.

"Love you Eleanor! Love you Jamie!" they shouted, before they disappeared around the corner.

"Our boys," Eleanor murmured, putting an arm around me.

"Yeah," I agreed. "Oh," I jumped as my phone rang in my pocket.

"Missing you already," Niall said. I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Me too. Have fun and don't worry about me. I have El to keep me company. Love you Niall."

"Alright. Love you Jamie."I hung up, before I'd start tearing up because of thinking too much about missing him.

"Actually, I've got to leave for work," El told me guiltily. "But I'll be back around 6 and then we can hang out."

"Oh it's alright," I said. "I'll see you later."

"Yeah. See you!" she said as we hugged before she left. Again, my phone rang. Sighing, I answered it quickly.

"Niall, you've got  stop ringing me," I said, suppressing a smile.

"It's me,Jamie. Sorry,were you expecting someone?"

I froze.

"Da-Sullivan?" I asked, shocked. What could  possibly want?

"Yeah. Are you busy this afternoon? I was thinking that maybe we could  grab some lunch later and  have a chat."

I hesitated. "Yeah, okay."

"Great!" he replied, sounding genuinely happy. "I'll text you with the details later, yeah?"

"Alright. see you later,Jamie!"

"Yeah," I mumbled.

I slowly hung up and headed back into the flat. My estranged father calling me? How'd he get my number? Why'd he want to meet up?

How odd.
