Committing A Crime

Katelyn was planning other christmas alone, committing was a problem she always had but she hadn't thought it would be a problem this time she was in love after all. But as she boarded the plane that would take her back home to her lonely hotel room that she meet someone she hadn't expected, Mr Harry Styles. Can he change her Christmas for the better?

3. Sober

Gemma, Harry's sister sat at the dinning room with her partner, their fingers laced together on top of the table. Anne, Harry's mum placed another chair around the table and a plate and a Knife and fork. "Harry's never brought a girl home for Christmas" Gemma said eyeing me up as I stood awkwardly beside the table. "We're just friends" Harry said coming up behind me and taking his seat. Left as the only one standing I hurriedly took my seat. "I had no where to go for Christmas so Harry invited me" I say casting my eyes down at my plate, I couldn't stand the look Gemma was giving me anymore, it was like she was judging me. "That's my Harry, Alway helping people" Anne said dishing out the food. Harry blushed and it was very cute but she only let herself think about that for a second, she wasn't here to fall for Harry. It was a Sunday roast and it tasted heavenly. I couldn't remember the last time I had a Sunday roast. "I'm sorry but I didn't catch your name" Gemma said "Katie" I said, I didn't want them to figure out who I was it always ruined friendships. Harry smiled at me for using his nickname and I felt myself blush. "Well it's nice to meet you, Katie" Anne said as she handed out the beer and wine. I helped myself to a beer or two but Harry guzzled it down like he was dying of thirst. "So, Ben, Hows work" Harry said his words slurred. The whole table seemed to stiffen and glance nervously between Harry and Ben, Gemma's partner. Gemma shot Harry daggers in warning and Anne glanced between the two like it was a tennis match. I couldn't tear my eyes away from them, the tension was too much. "Very well" Ben said looking down at his plate. "Still going to the pub every friday?" Harry spat "I don't see what that has to do with anything" Ben replied "It had to do with everything!" Harry shouted and made a big gesture with his hands knocking over his beer, spilling it all over me. "I'm sorry, god I'm sorry" Harry mumbled handing me his napkin to soak it up. "I think you should go to bed Harry" Anne said standing up to get a tea towel for the spill. "But-but-" He said looking mortified. "Take Katie upstairs to the bathroom and Then go to bed" Anne ordered and Harry didn't bother arguing with her. I followed Harry out of the room and down the corridor to the stairs, We went up the stairs and to the second door on the left. Harry stood in the doorway as I tried to wash as much of the beer off me as possible. "Sorry" He mumbled and I meet his eyes in the mirror. "What was that about?" I asked turning to face him. "I can't tell you here" He said glancing down the hallway to the stairs. "Follow me" He said and they left the bathroom. Harry stumbled down the corridor to the last door on the right. It was his old bedroom, the bed had a fade blue quilt and two pillows, A desk covered in junk was on the right and a chester draws was on the left with a stereo on top. It seemed half empty, there was no clothes on the floor or stuff on the bedside table, I guess it was like that because Harry no longer lived here. Harry closed the door behind them and turned the stereo on. The speakers blared music so they could no longer hear their own heart beats. He gestured to the bed, I hesitated for a few seconds before sitting down on the edge. Harry sat next to me close enough that I could smell the beer on him. He lean over so his mouth was next to my ear. "I don't like Ben" He whispered "I got that" I said "No like I hate him, He's bad for my sister" Harry mumbled his words slurring together. "Why is he bad for your sister?" I asked, Ben had seemed like a nice enough guy to me. "I can't tell you that" Harry replied "Why?" I asked "Because I can't" Harry said "You just have to trust me" He added. "I might trust you when your not drunk" I said moving away from him. "I'm not drunk" Harry said smiling up at me. "Yes you are" I said heading for the door. "Please, believe me" He pleaded "I will when you tell me this when your sober" I replied, opening the door. "Goodnight Harry" I said turning to look at him one last time. "Night Katie" He said and I shock my head. I was asking for that, damn why did I say Katie!  //
