11. If You Get Lost You Can Always Be Found
I knew exactly what Ash meant when she told me I didn't want to know. It makes me laugh just to think about it. We are in the car headed back to the beach house and it saddened me to think that this night was almost over. I softly reached for Ash's hand, as I looked Dow at our hands I couldn't help but notice her tatoo. It was a black outline of a heart that said "forever" in cursive underneath it. I smiled and let out a happy little huff.
"What?" She whispered, I pointed my head referring to her left wrist,"Oh that? Yea... Kay has one too. It's kind of like a charm of friendship. But a permanent one that is." She giggled and I smiled.
"It's very nice." I whispered looking back to focus on the road.
I could see her blushing out of the corner on my eye.
She quickly pressed the on button for the radio and retreated her hand that struck the button, "Woah, talk about ninja reflexes!" I exclaimed. She laughed and looked out her window.
"What's the matter?" She turned to face back at me.
"What's wrong? Absolutely nothing, I've never had such a magnificent night in my life. I just wish it would never end." She answered.
I smiled, "Well, it doesn't have to. We can pick up right where we left off. How's Tuesday sound?"
"As much as I would love to, I can't. Kay and I have concert gig for Jam Night at Miami South Beach. It's a mandatory thing. I'm really sorry." She whispered.
"No biggy," I playfully nudged her elbow, "We can do something another time."
She smiled and nodded, we pulled into the driveway of the girl's beach house. I opened my sort and rushed to Ashlyn's door. I opened the navy blue door of my rental car and offered my hand. She accepted and we walked hand in hand to the front door.
"Thank you so much for the amazing night." She whispered as we hugged, "I had such a phenomenal time." She pulled me into a soft hug.
"No thank you," I whispered, "This night wouldn't be the same if I wasn't spending it with you." We pulled away from our hug and I softly kissed her cheeck. Her face turned bright red. "Goodnight Ashlyn." I whispered in her ear.
"Goodnight Louis." She smiled and stepped through the door. Before she dissapeared behind the door she blew me a kiss. I pretended to catch it and turned around to step into the car.
I closed the door behind me and whispered, "Home." Little did I know that Kay was playing Home by Phillip Phillips. She laughed.
"Oh how ironic," she giggled, "How was your night? You look like you're floating on a cloud." I ran up to her and squeezed her tight in a hug.
"That because I am silly!" I shouted.
"Um Ash, I... I can't... I..." She was gasping for air.
"Oh sorry." I yelped releasing her.
"Ok now that we've seen eachother and you nearly took my life... Spill!" We both laughed at her comment and plopped down on the couch. On the coffee table was a Dr. Pepper with my name all over it! I popped the lid and took a sip.
"Ok so first we went to the Royal Diner, Louis reserved this gorgeous room in the back of the restaurant. There was a single table sitting there with pasta sitting on two plates. We ate and talked some, getting to know eachother better, and then her took my hand and we went to the beach across the road. He covered my eyes with his hands and then ran off leaving me infront of a note in the sand. It read... Dear Ash, Every girl has something special about them. I may not have found what's special about you yet, but that doesn't mean I'm not trying. When I first met you on Miami South Beach I knew you were the one for me. Ash, you've got that one thing. And that was the end of the note. I had started crying uncontrollably. And then Louis came up behind me singing One Thing and he was holding a dozen red roses. I freaked out and then we kissed under the sunset."
Kay squealed, "Oh my God that's so cute!"
"But wait... There's more!" I said suspensfully, "We both started singing what makes you beautiful ad then he was trying to say something, but he said it was too soon. So we danced and he told me my singing voice was beautiful
