I got caught up in the moment.
I kissed him back, and we pretty much made out. I climbed onto his lap and ran my fingers through his curly hair. He had one hand on my waist and the other on the side of my neck, his thumb stroking my cheek. This kiss was nothing like I've had before. It was... amazing.
We pulled apart after a minute but our foreheads were still touching. We looked into each other's eyes. I smiled slightly.
"Harry." I murmured. "I'll give it a try."
"Give what a try?" He asked confused.
"Us." I said grinning. He smiled back.
"Yay." He said. I laughed pulling away from him. I turned to the TV and saw he was watching the "Black Swan".
"I love this movie!" I said happily. I sat close to Harry and he put his arm around me. I leaned my head on his shoulder and smiled at how comfortable we were together already.
"Where is everyone?" I asked after a minute or two. "I came in when Zayn said I could come over and no one was here."
"They're at Zayn's." Harry said. Duh. He said I could come to his house. Wow I'm dumb.
"Then why are you here?" I asked looking up at him. He took his eyes off the TV screen and looked at me.
"Zayn and I got into a bit of a fight." He said. I sat up straight.
"About what?" I asked seriously.
"About his smoking." He said quietly. I almost laughed.
"That is why you had to leave his house?" I asked incredulously. Harry shrugged.
"He gets a bit worked up when we talk about it." He muttered.
"What happened?" I asked. I was being nosy, but since we were together I thought I could know. Harry didn't seem to care though.
"He said he was going out to have a smoke and I said, 'you know that's not good for you'. He just got kinda mad and I left so we wouldn't throw any punches."
"It gets that serious with you guys?" I asked quietly. He nodded slowly.
"Depends on the topic. Girls, smoking, and family mostly." He said. I thought for a moment.
"Have you ever fought about me?" I asked. He shook his head no.
"If you did would you tell me?" I looked up at him again. He was silent.
"Harry." I was worried a little. "Would you?"
"I don't know, Brandin." He said looking away. I sighed. I didn't want to start a fight on our first day as a couple.
"I get it." I finally said.
"You do?" He asked in surprise.
"Yeah, I mean I wouldn't tell you if Lex and I fought over you either." I said looking at the TV screen. That was a risky sentence. He could take that as bait for a fight. I cringed a bit. But I was worried for nothing. He shrugged.
"I see what you mean." I continued. We were silent as we watched the rest of the movie.
When it ended I looked at my phone. It was almost 11pm.
"Is everyone staying at Zayn's?" I asked standing up.
"No, they're sleeping in their own flats." Harry said stretching.
"Oh." I said lamely.
"You can come to mine if you want." He said walking to the kitchen. He opened a drawer and pulled out a container of cookies. He held one out to me. I took it gratefully.
"Sure. I just gotta run home and get some clothes." I said munching. He nodded and put the cookies away. "See you soon?" I asked him.
"Yeah, babe." He said walking over to me. We looked at each other for a few seconds before he pulled me into a hug.
"Sorry if I seem distant, I'm just thinking." He mumbled into my hair.
"I know. You're not usually like this." I said into his chest. We pulled away.
"See you in a few." I said walking out the door. I drove home in no time to get some clothes. My mom and Michaela were in bed thankfully. I realized I had no idea where Harry lived so I texted him. He told me to look out my front door. Weird. I opened the door and saw him leaning against a sweet car at the bottom of my driveway. I grinned and ran over after locking the house up.
"Nice ride." I said laughing.
"Thank you." He said with a grin. He opened my door for me and I smiled. He got in the driver's side and started driving. His house was 15 minutes from mine.
"I never would have guessed that One Direction lived an average of 20 minutes from my house." I said stepping out of the car. Harry just laughed.
"I'm sure a lot of people would think that." He took my hand and led me into the house. "You don't mind sleeping in my room, do you? I don't have a guest room and I don't want my girlfriend sleeping on the couch." He added winking at me. I giggled and nodded.
"It's fine." I walked into Harry's home and gawked. When you walked into the front door it opened to a very modern living room. It was black, white, and maroon... super cool. Harry laughed at my face.
"Like it?" He asked.
"Love it." I said smiling. I looked at the fireplace. Cool. Above it was a flatscreen TV. There was a cream sectional couch and a few matching chairs across from it. In the middle of the couch and chairs was a glass coffee table. On the white walls were maroon wall decorations and maroon curtains bordering french doors I can only assume led to a sun room or something. The floor was a deep brown wood. I was so jealous.
He showed me around the house, only to match the theme of the living room. Except when he showed me to his room.
"And this is my room." He said. I walked in and smiled. It wasn't too big, but it wasn't small, either. It had a neutral colored carpet with green walls, not to bright, but on the darker side. His bed was queen sized. The comforter was brown and green (matching the walls) thick stripes. I sat on the edge. There was a big TV, not flatscreen, that was sitting on a TV stand across from his bed.
"Cool." I said stroking the comforter unconsciously. He just laughed.
"Thought you'd like it." He said smiling. I looked at him and grinned.
"Well I'm tired, so let's go to bed." I said yawning. I climbed under the covers and felt Harry slide in next to me. I fell asleep quickly.
The next day I woke up in an empty bed. I realized I hadn't changed into my PJs before bed, so I just did now, trusting that Harry wouldn't come into the room. He didn't, and I threw my hair into a messy bun at the top of my head and walked into the kitchen. He was cooking breakfast. I sat on a stool by the counter and put my chin on my hand.
"What's for breakfast, master chef?" I asked grinning at him.
"Eggs, bacon, toast." Harry said without looking at me. He was so concentrated, how cute. "And good morning, love." He said turning to grin at me.
"Morning." I said smiling at him. We chatted about nothing all through breakfast.
"Ok, I want to ask you some questions about yourself." Harry said picking up his empty plate.
"Sure." I said doing the same. We walked over to the sink and put our dirty dishes in it.
"What's your favorite color?"
"Easy, purple." I replied. "You?"
"Orange." He grinned cheekily. "How many boyfriends have you had before me?" I blushed.
"One." I answered. "3 months." I didn't ask him how many girlfriends he's had. I didn't want to know.
"When's your birthday?"
"August 27. What about you?"
"February 1." He answered. "You know, we should have a party for your birthday. It's like July 10. Only a month away until you'll be..." He trailed away.
"18." I finished walking past him to the sectional.
"18." He repeated. "So you're still young and 17, eh?" He grinned poking me in the side as he followed me.
"Shut up." I said shoving him. He just laughed at me.
"So what do you wanna do today?" He asked me. I shrugged.
"What's cool here?" I asked. "I don't get out much." I added grinning.
"Well, I could take you to Nando's, but if Niall found out that we went without him, we wouldn't live to tell about it." Harry told me. I laughed.
"You're probably right." I said giggling. "How about a walk?" I suggested. Harry smiled.
"Perfect. I know a park nearby."
"Ok, I have to get ready." I said walking to his room.
"I'll be here." He said flicking on the TV.
I opened my bag and found my lacey white top. I put on a black tank top under that. Then I put on my bright blue shorts. I put on some pink converse and walked to the bathroom. I pondered what I should do with my hair and went with a messy braid straight down my back. I walked out to Harry.
"You look nice, love." He said smiling. I blushed.
"Thanks." He took my hand and led me outside. We walked for 5 minutes talking about nothing. We started walking in silence, but it was a comfortable silence. I started thinking about my kiss with Liam. I felt guilty about it. I didn't technically kiss him while I was with Harry, but it was after Harry told me he liked me. Should I tell him? I decided against it, today was too perfect. I'd tell him some other time.
"Hey, wanna go to a party tonight?" Harry asked. "It's at Niall's."
"Sure." I said. "Sounds fun!"
