1. Problems

Cosette's POV

I came home from practice exhausted. I dropped my navy blue duffle on the hallway floor in my room, as I walked, I kicked off my sandals, pulled my sweatshirt over my head, slid off my sweatpants, pulled my shirt over my head, and by that time, I was in my room. Lastly I pulled my sports bra over my head and slipped out of my undies leaving me naked with the shades wide open, good thing my windows are on the side of my room facing Nathans room. 'Shit!'

I ran over to the curtains and pulled them close breathing heavily. My hair was in a ponytil and was starting to bother me, so I pull the ponytail out and let my straight blonde hair, fall to its place. I could feel the ends graze the end of my torso and the beginning of my bum. I hear a rustle and jump, but it's only Nathan opening his window.

Nathan's POV

I heard Cosette's duffle fall and saw her naked shawdow behind the curtains. Oh how I love my room. When we moved to Iowa three years ago, I had last choice of room with my two brothers and all, so of course I got the smallest room at the back of the house, but then I had the surprise of Cosette, my current number one Hottie, as a next door neighbor and her windows in my full view.

I opened my window and heard a squel.

"Hey Cosette, you back from practice yet?" I hear some more rustling and I see her figure come closer to the curtains. I tingled with plessure from the beautiful sight.

"I know you're in your room Cosette." Cosette's head popped out through the crack in the curtains.

"Ok of course you know I'm back and do you always have to talk to me when I'm naked? I'm just about to take a shower. Ugh boys!" Cosette closes the window and curtains and walks away.

'Damn, I thought I had her, guess I'll try again later.'

Cosette's POV

I walk to my vanity and lean forward on my hands.

'Why can't he leave me alone?! All he wants to do is bang me and I don't want that!'

I take a deep breath and turn on the the shower, stepping in and letting the hot water run over me cleansing my body and relaxing my mind.

I step out onto the rug on the floor in the steaming bathroom, i wrap the first towel around my hair and set it on top of my head and the second towel, I wrap around my body. The floor felt like ice against my warm skin and the droplets of water on my legs now turn freezing from the air in my vanity.

The radio is playing Give Your Heart a Break by Demi Lovato preparing for Valentines day tomorrow. I grab my black workout shorts with zebra prints on the side, and set them on top of the armoir, I put on my underwear and sports bra, and walk back into my vanity. I flip my head upsidedown and let the towel around my hair fall to the floor and my hair along with it. I flip my head back up and start brushing it. I blow-dry my hair and put on my shorts along with my 2011 Sasha's Dance Team t-shirt.

As I sit on my bed to finish my science homework, I hear a knock on my door.

"Cosette, your Dad and I are leaving for the meeting downtown, we wont be back until late, dinner's in the fridge." Elle stepped into my room and groaned.

"What was that Mom?" I ask trying to see around the corner trying to figure out what my mom said.

"Why is it, everytime I come in here, I always have to pick up something or somethings on the floor? For example, your two wet towels and your volleyball duffle." Elle stepped into the room holding two towels and my duffle. I step off my bed and grab the duffle, put it next to my desk, grab the two towels, and put them in my dirty laundry basket.

"Sorry Mom, you know I'm not good at picking up after myself. Now, go and have fun at the meeting." I hugged my Mom and waited for her to leave the room, when she left I picked up my phone, dialed Libby's number, and flopped onto my bed.

Ring ring ring

"Hello?" A familiar voice answered on the other end.

"Hey Libby! What's up?" I asked with my voice chipper than usual.

"Oh nothing, just really exhausted from practice today." Libby sighed to show how exhausted she is.

"Ok so I got home and I was taking my clothes off to get in the shower and Nathan so happened to be at his window looking right at my shadow and started talking to me. I mean it's like he's trying to get me to climb across and into his house so he can bang me." I frowned and heard Libby laugh.

"I heard that Cosette! And yes I do want to bang that pretty little body of yours." I groaned and got up, set my phone on my bed and walked over to the window. I pulled the curtain open, placed my hands on the window sill, and leaned forward allowing Nathan to see down my shirt and make him uncomfortable.

"You know you can just shut up and go bang your girlfriends." I smirked while lusily moving my hair all over my head making Nate go crazy. I could only guess what he was feeling at that moment.

Nathan's POV

I heard Cosette talking on the phone and walked to my window when I heard about me banging her I listened in and decided to talk.

"I heard that Cosette! And yes I do want to bang that pretty little body of yours." I knew I made her uncomfortable when she groaned and opened her curtains to talk to me. She leaned forward and I could see her c cup boobs clear as day, it made me crazy.

"You know you can just shut up and go bang your girlfriends." Cosette smirked and started doing some pretty sexy stuff with her hair. My dick was going crazy! I could feel myself piss and I blurted out.

"Cosette you're making me piss! Stop it, or I'm just going to have to go into your house and make you have sex with me!" I could tell she didn't want me to do that, so she stopped.

Cosette's POV

When he said if I didn't stop he would come over, I stood up straight and stopped.

"Fine, you're a perv anyway! I just wanted to see how long you could last." I closed my window and curtains, turned on my heel and walked back to my bed.

"What'd you think of that?"

"That was the grossest yet funniest things I have heard! I have to go, my mom is coming home in ten minutes and I still haven't finished my social studies project." Libby hung up and I could tell that I really grossed her out.

I set my phone next to me and got to work on my science.

By the time I was done and had dinner inbetween, I was even more exhausted, but I had one more thing to do. I pulled out my laptop from under my bed and powered it on. My mission was to write a letter to my favorite band member, Liam.

I finished around 12:30 in the morning, quickly I printed it off and sealed it safe in an envelope. I powered down the laptop and stored under my bed. I turned off my main lights for my room and let the dark engulf me in it's vastness. This has become my nightly ritual.

Slowly I walk over to my drawer and pull out the latern I have and light it. Placing it carefully in the middle of the floor, I grab the rug made in Vietnam by a rugmaster specfically for prayer or thinking. I grab some rose petals from a box and sprinkle them in a circle around the pillow and latern. Finally I grab my Jasmine and Lavender perfume bottles and spray them at the same time, then slowly put them on the armoir.

At last it was time, I turn on the waterfall sound on my alarm radio and sit on the pillow. With one last breath I stare into the latern and close my eyes.

At first I see nothing, I only hear the sounds of the waterfall, then slowly as I let my mind empty of thought I could see, hear, smell, clearly. I first hear the flame in the latern licking at the sides of the lamp, the rustle of the branches outside. I could smell the rose petals, the jasmine and lavender. The birds soft song of sleep to the night is what sets it all in.

My mind opens and I see what I wanted. A memory floods into my mind and I let it settle, taking me into the memory like a movie.

The wind whistles and I hear a crash in the distance. The sounds of bombs dropping overwhelm every sense in my body.

"Grandpa I'm scared." I look up fearfully into Grandpa's eyes, hope against hope that he could stop the sounds and feelings. My parents had sent me to Vietnam earlier that month thinking that Grandpa could set my condition right.

Grandpa cradles me in his arms, hugging my head to his chest. He leans his head forward and rests his chin on my head.

"Don't worry darling, it will all go away if you let it." He moves his head and kisses the top of my head. I could hear more bombs getting closer and the tears start falling.

"Grandpa make it stop! Please make it stop! Grandpa!" I scream loud enough for the birds on the roof to take flight. I could hear Grandpa crying hard.

"It's going to be alright, I wont let anyone hurt you." His voice shakes with fear for my health. Everyone knows that what I hear isn't real. I can hear things and see things other people are hearing or seeing. People that are about to die. My eyes flicker and everything goes black, I am transferred to a place under attack. I see a United States Major lying on the ground, bleeding to death and bombs are behind me, getting closer and closer. I could see a tear glisten on his cheek. I run toward him with my hand outstretched. I hear a loud scream and a bright light. I drop to my knees and cry.

I jerk back to Grandpa craddling me. The Major died from the bomb blast and I am terrified. I burst into tears and then there comes a knock from the door. Grandpa stands up and sets me in the chair. He walks to the front door and opens it.

My eyes jerk open and I'm back in my room, breathing heavily. The memory was when I was only five years old. The latern is close to dying, casting an eerie shawdow on my robin's egg blue walls, then the flame goes out and I'm surrounded by darkness again. Standing, I walk to my icicle lights plug and plug it in. My room is cast in light, the icicle lights lining the walls of my room sway from my walking. I put the pillow back and switch out the candle in the latern when I hear a slam. Putting the latern away I hear more slamming, so I walk slowly to my door and open it a crack seeing a dim light illuminating a portion of the floor downstairs. Slowly, I walk downstairs and lean over the rail to get glimpse of what was going on in the kitchen. My parents were having another fight.

"How dare you say that in your speech?" Elle throws a pillow at her husband.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! It sort of came up when I saw her." George, my dad holds his hands up in defense. I walk back upstairs knowing that the fight would be over in an hour. I grab the box that holds the roses and slowky pick up the petals. After I finish picking up the roses and put the box back in its place. I pull back my covers on my bed and slip in. My thoughts push forward as I close my eyes, but I push them back wishing only for peace and sleep.
