29. We'll Come Back Again

Lorraine P.O.V

I woke up the next morning to the sound of banging and clattering coming from the sitting room, a handful of people were coming in the door obviously failing at whispering and trying to keep quiet. I checked the clock by my bedside table only to find that it was not there, also that I was not even in my bed, I was in Louis bed. Suddenly the memories from the previous night started flooding in. We had a gorgeous and romantic dinner on the secret rooftop garden, we had a great dinner, then we danced to the music of a small orchestra playing an outdoor concert just below us on the streets, then after that I do not remember, only that it must have been great.

I rolled over on the double bed that Louis had in his room that he shared with Harry, but when I looked over I noticed that Harry’s bed was in fact empty, what am I saying? I was the only one in this room, Louis wasn't here either. “He must be already up, maybe making breakfast”, I thought to myself, couldn't help but smile as I thought about him. I discovered an alarm clock on the floor under some pair of dirty socks (boys, they’re so messy, except for Harry, his side was really tidy). It was half past eleven and I was certainly in no mood to get up just yet, but all this noise coming from outside the door was beginning to get extremely annoying and I decided to go take a shower. I hopped into the really big shower that Louis and Harry shared, it was really big you probably could have fit a car inside it. The water was steaming hot, but it was very stress relieving and relaxing. The thoughts about having to leave Paris tomorrow and fly back to London suddenly drained in. School was starting back on Monday, and our old routine would go back to normal. I wasn’t exactly looking forward to this prospect, but the fact that I was spending it with some of the most amazing people I’ve ever known sort of made it welcoming.

I hopped out of the shower, wrapped a towel around myself and almost had a freak attack when I realised that I had no clothes to wear and that they were in my room across the other side of the sitting room. That would mean I’d have to go through everybody that was in the sitting room. I suddenly got the bright idea of putting on some of Louis clothes, just until I got to my room. All I could find (while going through his wardrobe) was a really long white shirt. “This will have to do”, I thought to myself while buttoning it up. I tied my hair up in a top-knot and braced myself for what was to come. I opened the door leading to the sitting room to find everybody, Liam and Felicity, Audrey and Zayn, Niall and Nicole and Harry and Leah all gathered around drinking tea and coffee and chatting away. Behind the sofas (there were a total of three in the sitting room) there were stacks and stacks of suitcases, taking up a lot of space. Everyone turned around and looked at me. “Good morning!” they all chimed. “Nice shirt”, Niall said whilst smirking. I saw Leah give him a nudge then she got up and walked over to me. “Good morning!!” she squeaked whilst giving me a huge hug. “Last night was amazing, wasn’t it?” she asked me. “Yeah, it was really fun!” I said, still a little bewildered as to where Louis was. Leah let out a giggle, then went back to sit next to Harry (who gave me a smile as I walked past him).

I walked into the kitchen only to be greeted with the sweet scent of maple syrup on pancakes and the aroma of a hot cup of Starbucks coffee. “For you”, this voice said from behind me. I instantly smiled at the gorgeous hoarse tone of Louis morning voice. I walked over to the really big window that was in the kitchen, which really was a wall as the glass continued to cover half of the kitchen/dining room. A tear left my eye as I looked out onto the amazing view we had had for the past week. The outstanding Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars greenery, the beautiful cobbled stone streets down below us where we bought ice-cream, the river Seine and everything else that we could see from our apartment.  Louis came over and rested his chin on my right shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into him. “Shh, it’s okay. We’ll come back again, definitely” he whispered into my ear. “Definitely”, I repeated.
