Those Green Eyes

Adelle Adams felt lost as if stuck in a dark room with no hope of finding a switch; she was currently dating Josh Devine, the drummer from One Direction and blindly searched for the answer to what love really looked like and if what her and Josh had was actually love. In what seemed to be a hopeless search she finds a pair of green eyes lighting her room and giving her a true answer to what love really is.

5. A Night To Remember

*Adelle's POV*

"So you'll come?!" He pulls me into a hug.

"Yes, but under one condition" I say while pushing him away.

"You have to be there for me Josh"

He wraps his arms around my hips and brings my body inches from his.

   "I will love, I promise"

Immediately a familiar aroma fills my nostrils and I wrap my arms around his neck and look up into his eyes which I hope held the truth.

"Aren't you excited to see me on stage?" Josh asks, his eyes looking for mine but I'm distracted by the scenery passing by my window like a blur of colors much like my understanding of Josh's absence in this past month, just a big blur. Was he really with me now to help me through my struggles or did he just want to flaunt his success?

We are currently driving to the concert which is being held just a few hours away from my house but to be honest I don't even feel like going anymore.

"Hellooo? Adelle, are you okay?" My eyes wander back to his and I give him a fake half smile.

"Yeah I'm fine Josh, just tired thats all"

"Well you should be just as pumped as I am love! We are going to have a night to remember" He wraps one arm around my shoulder and gives me a quick wink.

Oh boy, what does he expect to happen? I roll my eyes and shove his arm off of me.

"Oh come on babe, I know you. As soon as the music fills your ears and gets you dancing there's no stopping what a party animal like you will do"

"Okay well I guess we'll see wont we"

3 Hours Later

We have just arrived at the stadium where this concert is being held, and the sun is just about to set.

"Here we are!" Josh excitedly jumps out the door. I do the same but in a much more relaxed manner.

"Come on love! You are so close to getting just a taste of my dream." He grabbed my hand and got me running right beside him. My long blonde hair was down and whisping past my shoulders while my white flowy summer dress moved with the wind like a white sail drifting towards very unknown waters. And suddenly a light night sky and quiet atmosphere became replaced with a large dark room with flashing colorful lights and crowds of people screaming for the band to start.

"By love, I'll see you in the audience." His hand left mine and instantly he was gone and lost within the crowd.

Once he left I started to shove my way through what felt like a strong wind; without a lot of effort there was no getting past it.  Until finally I found my way at the front of the audience. Josh said earlier that the performers can only see people at the front because the stage lights only shine there and everyone else disappears within a big black blur of darkness, so I decided that this would be the best spot to be.

A couple girls who fell back behind me in my effort to reach the front were complaining that I didn't deserve this spot but I just ignored them and looked up at the stage. It was dark but I could still see the silhouettes of five men walking on stage. One was sitting on a chair and playing a guitar while three others were sitting on a couch that was centered on the stage. But there was one other figure who stood out among the others, he's much taller and was walking what seemed to be right towards me but wasn't, he was only checking the microphone,

"Check, check" he has a low and raspy voice which I could only imagine sounds amazing when he sings. Even with this dark of lighting I could see the outlining of his muscles and a head of hair which looked curly and volumized.

Suddenly music fills the stage and an individual spotlight shines down on each member of the band except Josh, he was left in the shadows just like the audience behind me. Did he realize how hidden he was? A push from someone behind broke me from my thoughts, I pushed back in order to save my place. I looked up at the stage to see that same figure again but this time he was being showered by a bright light. That once dark figure was dressed in brown fitting pants and a plain white v-neck which exposed two birds tattooed on his chest. I look past his chest to reach his face and when I do our eyes lock for what seems like forever but in reality only for seconds. Their first song ended and instead of starting another song a member from the band who had much less hair then any of the others said,

"Tonight we wanted to try something different by giving the audience a chance to come up on stage." The audience immediately exploded with excitement and the band smiled in reaction to their noise.

"So how are we going to do this?" Another member dressed in striped and red pants playfully asked.

"Well mate, we are going to ask the audience a question" The muscular one answers with a small smile that spreads across his face.

"Does anyone know the name of our new drummer?" Not a single person raises their hand and my heart begins to quicken, should I raise my hand? If I do what will happen?

   "No one?" He asked.

And then like a sudden rocket shooting through the sky I shot my hand up from the hidden place I had expected it to stay.

"Oh looky here boys, we've got a taker." snickers the striped member.

"What is your answer love?" Asks the muscular one. He is now crouched down so that his face is leveled with mine.

   "Josh Devine?" I innocently ask.

"Dine, ding, ding, we've got a winner!" He shouts and with ease pulls me on stage with one of his strong arms wrapped around my waist and the other under my legs. He smiled at me and so did his shining green eyes. I smiled back and did not wish in letting go but he did, setting me down on the couch I saw moments before. The boys surround me and the lights go dark. Seconds later one member from the band starts softly playing the strings on his guitar and they all begin to serenade me with a song that talks of a guy and his deep love for a girl. This gets me thinking about Josh and whether he loved me the way they described it. Each member sang their part except for one, and then the light shined on the one that I had locked eyes with earlier. He walked closer to me and his lips touched the microphone which he held in his hands. Reaching his hand to mine he kneeled down on one knee and sang,

*Harry's POV*

As soon as my eyes met hers all noise and movement suddenly stopped and all I could see was her. My heart nearly jumped from my chest when I noticed that she was looking up at me. It was something about the way she moved with the music and how her hair caressed that heart shaped face. I've never felt this way about someone I hardly knew but strangely I felt like I did know her. Now I'm  at arms length from possibly the girl of my dreams and I get the chance to win her over with my voice.

I grab her hand and fall right back into her sky blue eyes. I don't know how I escaped from them before but I don't plan on doing that again. The strands of her golden hair fall perfectly to her sides and When I start singing to her I feel as if her whole face starts to smile, even her eyes. I smile back at her and just like that the song ends and Its time for her to go back down into the crowd and sadly away from me. I pick her up and ever so gently place her back where she had been, among a crowd where I could lose her forever. As I set her back in the audience I sneak her a kiss on the cheek and whisper,

"This next song is for you" She blushes and I release my hand from hers. This is going to be a night to remember I thought.
