"Make another sound and I'll be eating your eyes for my breakfast tomorrow."

I pinned the struggling victims hands behind their back and held them there, sitting on them so they wouldn't be able to move. Nonetheless, they still continued to resist. Naughty, naughty, we couldn't have that now, could we?

"Trust me sugar, this won't take long. You'd understand if you were in my position. But lucky you," I sighed wistfully for a better effect, "you're not. Now, any second you might feel a slight tingle in your brain, but that'll fade and you'll be good as new!"

I grinned wickedly and closed my eyes, concentrating on draining all the mental energy from my writhing target. It was easy to locate a strong-minded person, all I had to do was switch on HD in my head and everything would be clear. I could see the mental patterns of all the people I passed by. And this one happened to be very strong in the mental department. So I'd drain them of their energy and leave them to it. No harm, no foul.

"Get off of me!" He was yelling now, for help I assumed. I clamped my hand over his mouth and giggled before continuing the proccess. Not long now.

When I was finished, I tapped the male on his cheek and left him standing in the entrance of the alley, dumb and oblivious as to what had just taken place.

Godess, I despise humans.

Always have.

"BREAKING NEWS! Famous boy band member, Harry Styles, has just been sent out of hospital. There have been reports of severe injury and fatal blood loss to the poor teenage heart throb. . . "

I switched channels and rolled my eyes. Stupid celebrities.

When I searched for something entertaining to watch, and my TV refused to give me anything other than 'Titanic', I decided to watch the news again.

". . . and here are some devistating photos of the British sensation."

I switched of the television, grabbed my keys and walked out my house, locking the front door. I couldn't handle all the emotions coming at me from all directions. I would brush them off and go out, maybe drain a few more minds? Who knows, maybe I'd finally be able to have fun without Harry dragging me back.

A few hours later I'd been shopping and stole a few things, drained a few people and ate strawberries and cream in a new cafe a few miles from my house. I was living it up, in my opinion. And with no emotion whatsoever.

"Well, well. Look who it is."

I looked up and rolled my eyes, popping the last strawberry into my mouth.

"So just because Harry's not here, you took it upon yourself to annoy me instead?" I swallowed and gulped down my orange juice, grabbing the handles of my purchases.

"What're you doing?" Niall asked, running his fingers through his spiked blonde hair.

"I'm preparing to run." I spat back, letting go and slouching back in the booth.

"Well, Red's having a difficult time, and Harry's still in hospital," I chuckled, but Niall attempted to ignore it. "Anyway, he's been wanting to come and see you so many times, and he won't listen when we try to explain what a bitch you've become. So I came to ask you, and ask you once. Will you come and see him?" His blue eyes were earnest and desperate, but I simply shrugged, picking up my things and leaving the cafe.

"Answer the door, Ruby. You're being absolutely ridiculous!" I heard another bang on my door but ignored it, changing into my jean shorts, a blue tie-dye crop top and black strappy sandals. After fluffing my hair and putting four sets of silver studs in my ear piercings, I made my way downstairs and pulled the front door open, leaning against the frame.

"You may as well give up, Red. You're pregnant, useless and all you can do is sit around and not use protection when you do the nasty with a pathetic singer. Such a shame."

Thing is, Red didn't even look bloated enough to be pregnant. Her stomach was only slightly swollen, but she didn't look fat.

I was taken by surprise when she pinned me up against the wall and hissed at me through clenched teeth.

"You really need to stop being a bitch, you know that?"

I laughed, sinister and sarcastic at the same time.

"Seriously though, we went through this. Was the thing even planned?"

Something in her snapped and she had me in a choke hold, cutting off my supply of oxygen.

"It's not a thing, it's a baby. And no, but that doesn't mean we won't take care of it. It's a shame I can't say the same for you." She bit down on her lower lip and looked up at me. It seemed, for just a moment, like the blue iris of her eyes contained the ocean. I threw the irrational thought aside and focused on regaining air into my lungs.

"You're coming with me." She held me in a headlock, pulling me through the house and into the spare room beside mine.

Reaching into the bag she'd brought, she pulled out a thick piece of rope and sat me down on a rocking chair in the corner. Tying my wrists mehind me, she dusted off her hands and looked at her handy work in approval.

"What are you trying to prove, Red? That I have a human part of me somewhere? That I'm putting up a mask to hide the hurt? None of that's true, and you know it. I'm not human. I'm a telepath, and an evil one at that. And it's time you came to terms with that or it'll get you killed."

I closed my eyes and focused on draining her mind. Not enough to kill her, but enough to leave her foggy and confused. But before I could even grab the tail end of her thoughts, she hit me over the head with a knuckle duster.

I winced and felt hot liquid run down the side of my face. It didn't hurt like I thought it would. Just stung a little.

Then it clicked. I knew her plan.

Laughing, I coughed out the words:

"You think you can torture me into being 'myself' again?! Ha! Is that what this is about? Red, be serious for a moment here. I got tortured, and I went bad. You think by torturing me more, I'll return to the old me? Wishful thinking, whore, wishful thinking."

I enjoyed watching her get mad. Watching her jaw go rigid and making her fume with rage. She really was too vunrable. Too easy to wind up.

"Too bad. When you're done ruining my new clothes with my own blood, your precious friend Harry - which killed your ex, need I remind you - will probably be dead. And your boyfriend will have left you for a skanky blonde like myself. Dare I even mention that disgusting abomanation growing in your body? It sickens me to think of it."

There, I was saying all the right words, pushing all her buttons and making her hate me. That's what I was aiming for, wasn't it? To turn everyone against me so I wouldn't flinch when they got hurt, or died. It was a simple proccess.

"You're just saying that. It's not you talking." Red seemed like she was trying to convince herself more than me.

"Nope," I assured her, "I mean every word."

Then she punched me again, and everything went black.
