Endlessly (A One Direction Love Story)

Anika has always been friends with Liam Payne. She forced him to play with her dolls when they were little, saw him in the front row at each of her dance recitals, forced him into the car for hours while she drove to auditions, and made him critique her every move at the studio. But two years ago, she sat backstage as her best friend sang his heart out for the second time. But this time, instead of coming home after two weeks, he was gone. For good. Liam and Ana still spend every waking hour together, but things are different. Niall and Ana are spending every waking hour together, and Liam's jealous. Will it be the classic story of the best friends who are meant to be, or are Liam and Ana destined to be... just friends?

14. Tomorrow

Niall had left on tour a week after our little skit for the other boys. Louis and Harry still teased him, but not for chickening out. As far as they knew, Niall and I had gone a lot farther than in reality. It was really hard being away from him though.

We Skyped, texted, or called each other every night and talked for at least an hour. It was boring not having dancing anymore, and even though I had my cast and boot off, my tendon hadn't healed as loosely as it had been and I was basically done for in terms of dancing. I still did pirouettes and aribesques around my flat, and I was working as the youngest ex-prima ballerina/youngest choreographer in London Ballet history. When I was teaching complete imbosiles how to dance, though, I worked at a salon down the road where I did people's make up for special occasions. I was surprisingly good at putting eyeliner on when it wasn't my face.

"I just miss him so much." I whined to Jade and Perrie over a cup of tea. They laughed and un-paused The Vow, which we were watching while complaining about life and crying over Channing Tatum.

"I miss Zayn a lot, too. But you sort of get used to it." Perrie said. I reached out and touched her purple hair for the twelfth time tonight. She swatted my hand away and Jade laughed. She had purple hair, too, but Perrie's was so pastel and different looking against he pale skin.

"I love it so much!" I whined. Jade laughed and went to put the mugs in the sink.

"We've got a concert tomorrow, Perrie!" She called from the kitchen. I sighed. That meant they had to go. I'd spent uncountable hours of time with Jade, Jessie, Leigh Anne, and Perrie in the past three months. It was nice having Perrie around since she felt my pain. I'd gone shopping with Eleanor and we had a girls night, painting our nails and watching movies that made us cry, and I'd even gone to a couple of Danielle's performances. It was kind of really exciting that Danielle and I were friends after all that happened.

"We're off. Love you!" Perrie said, and she and Jade gave me hugs and kisses on the cheeks before leaving. I waved weakly at them. After they left I cried through the rest of the movie and at a whole box of Oreos. This was worse than I expected. Sometimes I would turn off my music because I swore I heard Niall's laugh, or I'd roll over in bed and gasp because I could feel his arms around me and his lips on my forehead. But in twenty four hours it would be the real thing.

My laptop dinged on the coffee table and I dried my tears, paused the movie, and then opened up Skype.

"Niall!" I said when his face popped up. His eyes were tired and his skin was pale like he hadn't slept in a while.

"Hey beautiful." He said, smiling at me. "Eighteen hours and twenty six hours until I get to see you again." Niall reminded me. I giggled and hugged a couch cusion because I just wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go.

"I know, and I can't wait. I've missed you so much, it hurts. I cleaned your flat a few times, did all of your washing, got you new food, even took all of your nice stuff to the cleaners. And I bought you all new soap and shampoo and stuff because I ran out of things to do." I said. Niall chuckled and dragged his hands down his face.

"I can't wait to get out of this terminal and on the plane, and then I'll get to come and see everything you've done and hug you a billion times." He said. I giggled again. Even hearing his voice hurt because I just wanted to hold him again. It was like water deprivation only worse. A whole lot worse.

"But in... eighteen hours and twenty six minutes I'll be at the airport waiting for you and you can hug me as much as you want." I said. Niall looked down at his watch and held it in front of the camera.

"Eighteen hours and twenty two minutes, silly. And then the next day we'll be on a plane to Mullingar. I'll get to have you and my family all together, and then the boys. All the people I love in one place. Okay, I'm about to piss in my pants. Harry, would you stop that! I'm gona wet myself!" Niall said to Harry, who was off camera. I giggled and squeezed the pillow.

"Niall, just go wee and someone else can talk to me for a bit. If I can stay away from you for three months, I can wait three minutes." I said. Niall glanced around and sighed.

"I'll be right back. Paul! To the bathroom!" He shouted, handing over his laptop to Zayn.

"Ana!" Zayn said.

"Hey! How've you been!" I chirped back, sitting up a little straighter. Zayn shrugged.

"Missing Perrie a lot, but tour's been good." He said. I nodded.

"Perrie was actually just over! She said she's probably cleaned your flat a million times because she wants you to just come home and not have to worry about any of it." Zayn chuckled and nodded.

"She's like that. I love how OCD she is sometimes. We spent the night at Louis' flat one time, and when we got back from the studio she had cleaned the whole place." I laughed and nodded.

"That definitely sounds like Perrie! I have a question." I asked. Zayn looked at me, an eyebrow cocked. "Did Niall really miss me as much as he says?" I asked. Zayn laughed, but it was a little forced.

"It was worse than he says. Everytime someone would mention you, he'd either go dead quiet and not talk for hours, or he wouldn't shut up about you. And he shakes like an excited chihuahua whenever anyone brings up how you two are going to Mullingar, so get ready. We caught him crying two or three times, and after he'd hang up he'd start freaking out and saying all these things he forgot to tell you. It was kind of annoying, but it's actually really sweet how hard it was for him being away from you." Zayn said, smiling at me.

"He was in the bathroom a lot!" Louis called. I burried my head in my hands and my cheeks were flushed. Zayn was laughing and then I heard.

"Louis! No I was not!" And Niall wrenched the laptop out of Zayn's hands. "They are lying. Don't listen to Louis." He said. I laughed and raised my eyebrows. Niall grinned at me, but he still looked exhausted.

"It's fine. I've missed you a lot, Niall." I said. Niall nodded and glanced around before running a hand through his hair.

"I want you so bad, Princess. You have no idea how much I missed you." He stared into the camera and made a sad smile. I sad-smiled back.

"This is too fucking sappy to be real, but I can't wait to see you Niall." I replied. Niall chuckled and buried his head in his hands.

There was a noise in the background and Liam said something. "Listen, Angel. They just called our flight. I'll be there to see you in... eighteen hours and four minutes. And then we'll be off to Mullingar. I love you so much." He said, staring straight at me. I smiled back and blew him a kiss.

"And I'll be waiting. Say hey to the boys and I'll be at the airport bright and early. I love you, too." I said. Niall smiled and turned off the camera. I stared at the black screen for what I thought was a few minutes, but when I looked at the clock it'd been nearly two hours. This was out of control. I put my laptop away and played my iPod and danced around cleaning my flat. Niall would probably want to stay the night at his place, so I packed my suitcase and brought it down to my yellow beemer. I made myself a cup of tea and decided I wanted to sleep at his flat tonight.

"Goodbye, oh home." I said dramatically to my flat building. A woman walking her dog looked at me funny and smiled sweetly at her. "What if I was autistic? Yeah, walk away, feel guilty. Judger!" I called after her. Then I hopped in my car and drove over one block to Niall's complex.

"Charlie! How nice to see you!" I said, carrying my purse with my pajamas and clothes for tomorrow in it. Charlie tipped his hat.

"Cleaning Niall's flat again?" He asked. I shook my head.

"I'm sleeping here tonight, as he's getting in tomorrow morning." I explained. Charlie nodded with a smile on his face.

"As much as I hate to admit it, I've missed those crazy boys. And the rest of the girls, although you aren't the only one stopping by regularly. Sometimes the black girl with the curly hair, what's her name? Donna? She'll show up in tears and spend the night at Liam's flat." Charlie said, looking at little worried.

"Danielle? It's been pretty hard on her, since they had a bit of a rough patch before he left." I said. Charlie nodded and the lift dinged. "It's been nice seeing you, but Niall and I are heading to Mullingar tomorrow, so it'll be a while." I said. Charlie patted my shoulder as I climbed into the lift.

I was pretty excited to go to Ireland. My family had pretty much disowned me since I lost my spot as the youngest prima ballerina at the London Ballet. I was no longer a trophy child to my lawyer parents, and even if I was the youngest choreographer, it wasn't good enough. They still paid the bills, but if I were to show up home they would pretend they didn't know me.

"Long time, no see!" I said when I opened the door to Niall's flat. It was nine at night, and I decided to head to bed after I straightened up a bit. I recleaned all of the appliences in the kitchen and then curled up in Niall's bed in a pair of his track pants and a tank top.

"Hey girl it's now or never, do know a thing just let it go." My phone sang from the bedside table. I layed there until Niall's solo was done and then I rolled out of bed. I had just enough time to put on my UGGs, pull one of Niall's jumpers over my head, and grab a mug of tea before I was out the door. I steered my yellow beemer through traffic anxiously, shouting at every car.

"So what if it's a red light, you don't HAVE to stop!" I shouted at a car in front of my, blaring my horn. The light turned green and I stomped on the gas.

I turned the last bend on the road and there it was, the airport.
