Endlessly (A One Direction Love Story)

Anika has always been friends with Liam Payne. She forced him to play with her dolls when they were little, saw him in the front row at each of her dance recitals, forced him into the car for hours while she drove to auditions, and made him critique her every move at the studio. But two years ago, she sat backstage as her best friend sang his heart out for the second time. But this time, instead of coming home after two weeks, he was gone. For good. Liam and Ana still spend every waking hour together, but things are different. Niall and Ana are spending every waking hour together, and Liam's jealous. Will it be the classic story of the best friends who are meant to be, or are Liam and Ana destined to be... just friends?

11. Intruders and Dents

"Good morning, gorgeous." Niall said, leaning over me and giving me a peck on the cheek. He stared into my eyes for a few seconds and then rolled off the bed and walked out to the kitchen, scratching his back on the way. I smiled at how cute he was and then glanced under the covers to make sure I was still dressed. Thank God, pants, shirt, and all. I let out a sigh of relief. I was sure I loved Niall, but I wasn't sure that sex was on my agenda anytime soon. I was glad we both had boundaries, though.

"What's cooking?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen. I leaned over the pan on the stove and sniffed the bacon. I reached my arms over my head and stretched, and Niall's warm hands wrapped around my waist. I turned around and pressed my lips to his. I held the kiss for a few seconds and then pulled away,

"Morning breath." I teased. Niall laughed and ran off to brush his teeth while I flipped the bacon. There was a knock on the door.

"Coming!" I called. I headed into the other room, but before I opened the door, I saw a dent in the wall next to the door. A head shaped dent. Shit. I moved a picture and pinned it over the dent before I unlocked and opened the door.

"Mornin'!" Louis chirped as he and Harry strutted into the flat. I looked at them like they were crazy but closed the door and headed into the kitchen to finish breakfast.

"Hey!" Niall said, walking into the kitchen. "Hey, Ana? Do you know why that picture on the wall moved over about a foot?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Hasn't it always been there?" I asked. Niall began to talk again, but I looked at him sternly. "Hasn't it always been there." I said a little harsher. Harry and Louis laughed and helped themselves to tea and and toast.

"How was your night, you two love birds?" Louis asked, wiggling his eyebrows as he sipped his tea.

"You two should know, you were practically there the whole time." Niall said, mostly just pretending to be mad, but I could tell he was a little pissed that they kept coming in.

"Ohhhhh, you know what that means, Lou?" Harry said comically, turning to Louis. Louis nodded with a silly look on his face. He mimed hitting a baseball and made a whistling noise, while Harry made his hand into a fist and dropped it dully onto the table.

"Hit and missssss." Louis said in an announcer voice, pretending he was talking into a microphone.

"Okay, who let you two in anyway?" Niall snapped, and then ushered them out the door. I laughed and put the bacon onto two plates. I popped some bread into the toaster and got forks out for the both of us.

"Sorry about them." Niall said, coming back in and helping himself to his bacon and a few pieces of mine. I swatted his hand away and sat next to him.

"That's okay. I kind of wanted to talk about that anyway. I know you're probably not going to like this, but I've never even really had a boyfriend and I'm not sure I'm really ready to have sex anytime soon..." I said, looking down at my plate. Niall slipped his hand into mine and tilted my chin up so our eyes met.

"I'm never going to do anything that you don't want. Ever. And I will never be mad or judge you if you tell me to stop." Niall said. I smiled a little and leaned over, giving him a kiss. Niall grinned at me and got up to pour us some tea and get the toast.

"So what really happened with that picture?" He asked as he dropped the hot toast onto my plate and waved his hand in the air. I grabbed his hand and pulled him with me into the front room. I took the picture off the wall, showing him the dent.

"You know, I kind of like the picture there." Niall said, taking it from me and hanging it back up. I laughed and we sat down to eat our breakfast. When I finished eating, I got my things and pulled my hair back.

"I'm going to go back to my place and get showered and changed. Should I come back?" I asked. Niall nodded and got up from the couch.

"You should definitely come back." Niall said, wrapping me in a hug and pulling me in for a long kiss. I turned to the door, but then rethought it.

"Niall." I called. He turned around before he got to the living room. "I love you." I said. Naill grinned and came back, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you too, Ana." He said, watching me walk out the door. As soon as the door closed behind me, I did a happy dance around as best I could on crutches. I couldn't believe I really was finally in love, and he loved me back. It was like what I'd always dreamed of having.

I crutched down the hall and down the lift, then hobbled two buildings over to my place. This whole crutching things wasn't going too well. I'd have to be fat and drive two buildings over. I'm so bad at life. I took the lift to my flat and abandoned all of my things by the door. I hopped in the shower and cleaned all of my nooks and crannies, and washed my hair until it felt like silk. The best part was that when I let my hair air dry it was still straight.

My iPod blared Cher Lloyd while I pulled on some jeans, a loose tank top and a cardigan. I put on one of my cute Steve Madden boots and put on makeup. It felt nice having time to actually try and care what I looked like. Maybe not being able to dance was a bit of a blessing. I shut off the music and headed down to my car again, and drove two buildings down. It literally took ten minutes just to get there. This was fucking ridiculous.

"Hello, Charlie!" I said brightly to the lift man, who gave me a sincere smile this time and even tipped his hat at me. I grinned and hummed as I waited for the lift.

"I've heard some things from the other boys." He said. I blushed. "I'm very happy Niall's finally found a girl who makes him happy like you do. He's seemed so much happier in the past few days." Charlie said.

"I'm glad too, Charlie. Have a brilliant day!" I said, hopping in the lift and taking it up to Niall's flat.

"NIALLLLL!" I sang, coming in the front door. Niall walked in from the kitchen with two cups of tea.

"ANNNAAAA!" He sang back. "Right on time! I made your favourite Lady Grey." He said, handing me my tea. I grinned and set my bag down, taking the tea from him.

"So I was thinking... I want to go talk to Liam if that's okay." I said. Niall looked at me and set his tea down.

"If you think it'll make things better. You can do whatever you want if it means you don't have to worry about all of those things he said to you." Niall said. I nodded and finished my tea in one last gulp.

"I think it's at least worth a shot. I'm gona head down now and I'll be back in a few minutes and we can do whatever you'd like for the day." I said. Niall nodded and kissed me on the cheek before I crutched down a level to Liam's flat. I took in a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"One second!" A voice that wasn't Liam's called. A girl's voice.

"Ana! It's been a while!" Danielle cooed, wrapping me in a hug. I hugged her back.

"I thought you and Liam had split...?" I asked. Danielle's face fell a little.

"Yeah, I messed up pretty badly. I know he probably told you, but I was kind of jealous. I saw a picture of you two hugging in a stupid magazine and overreacted. I should have never have assumed that of someone who's always been so kind like you have, and I'm really sorry. I've patched things over with Liam and he's taking me back, but I'd really like to know that there's no hard feelings between us." She said. I nodded and hugged her again.

"How could I ever not like someone who makes Liam as happy as you do?" I said. Danielle laughed.

"I feel the same way! Were you coming by to see Liam? He's got a pretty bad bout of the stomach flu, throwing up all night." She said, making a face. I laughed and widened my eyes.

"Well, I was but it's probably a good idea if I come by another time." I said. Danielle nodded.

"That'd be smart. I hope I'll see you soon, though!" She said brightly. I nodded and waved as I headed back to the lift. That didn't exactly go as planned.
