9. The Beach

Sofia's POV

When did they become a couple? I thought to myself as I rushed to Mari's side and pulled her away from him. I wasn't going to let her get hurt from this cheeky bastard. She looked at me in shock and pulled away, staring at both of us.

"Well, so who's going to tell me what the fuck is going on?" I blurted out, my eyes darting from her to Harry.

Mari's POV

I was definitely in shock with both Harry and Sofia. Harry was just flirting with me, he didn't even mention me being his girlfriend. Hell, I don't even know if I like him!

"Well, so who's going to tell me what the fuck is going on?" Sofia blurted out, her eyes darting from me to Harry.

Harry's cheeks turned a bright red, and he looked like he was lost for words. I rolled my eyes, and huffed. I hate explaining stuff to people.

"We aren't dating!" I grumbled rudely, directing my focus to Sofia.

"Then why the fuck did he call you his girlfriend?!" She yelled in my face. Sofia, you need to calm your tits.

I rolled my eyes once again and crossed my arms over my chest. "Does it look like I fucking know? Girl please, he was just flirting up a damn storm, and I was blushing a little bit. Then this little British mofo decided to call me his damn girlfriend. I don't even know why! Hell, I'm not even likable!"

"You could say that again," I heard Louis mumble. I glared at him and was about to say something, but Sofia took the words right out of my mouth.

"Shut up you uptight British fag!" She shouted sassily before turning back around to face me. We high-fived each other before going back to our conversation. "So, I get that you don't know what's going on either, so," she looked at Harry, who was standing there very awkwardly. "What is going on in your curly head, boy?"

Harry's cheeks turned even more red, and he looked embarrassed and mad at the same time. This must be the first time a girl ever turned him down. "I just thought she was interesting, and I wanted to get to know her better." He said and took a couple of steps back, putting his hands out in front of him defensively, his eyes growing wide. "Please, don't hurt me!" He said over dramatically, and I couldn't help but let out a little giggle. Why did he have to be so damn cute?

"Hey, boy calm down, I'm not going to kick you in the balls like I did with that idiot over there." She pointed towards Louis, who was turning red as well.

There was a long, awkward pause. Nobody knew what to say or do. "Well, this isn't awkward at all..." Zayn mumbled, and we all turned our attention towards him. He shrugged, not knowing what else to say. He was right though, this was getting a little too uncomfortable.

I instinctively look down at my watch, and saw that it was almost five o'clock. I glanced up at Sofia. "It's almost five," I said frowning and she sighed.

She looked at the rest of the boys, who stood looking at us confused. "We have another performance tonight at seven at the beach." She stated, looking at everyone. "Would you guys like to come and just chill at the beach until we start our next performance?"

"Will there be food?" Niall asked immediately after Sofia was done talking. Everyone laughed except me. Sorry, but I take my food very seriously, and it looked like Niall did too.

"Duh, why would I go somewhere that doesn't have food?" I asked and smiled a little bit. His pale skin turned a slight pink before he looked down at the ground. Louis and Zayn started teasing him, and everyone erupted into a fit of giggles. Then the boys packed up some change of clothes and we headed down to the beach.

Sofia's POV

Me and Mari quickly ran into the bathroom and changed into our swim wear. God, I hated how the restrooms at the beach were so flithy. It looked like someone had taken there shit and rubbed it against the walls. We came out of the bathrooms to find five VERY fit boys waiting for us. I swear I saw Mari begin to blush, but she quickly covered it with her hair. Then, I saw the boys' mouth open slightly and they started to check both of us out, looking up and down our bodies. I didn't mind, but Mari was a different story. She was staring at the ground and her face looked like she had a serious sun burn. I snapped my fingers at the boys faces once we came close enough. Mari hid behind me, and I said, "Hey, if  you take a picture it'll last longer."

Then Harry said, "Okay, then don't mind if I do." He took out his phone from his swimming trunks and took a quick picture. Mari's eyes widened and she looked up when she heard the click of the camera.

"I didn't mean it literally smart one." I grumbled and playfully pushed Harry, causing him to stumble back a couple of feet.

"Sorry, but you said so." He shrugged and his dimples poked out from his cheeks as he smiled.

I instantly went in and poked them. "Yes!! Number one of my bucket list crossed off!" All the boys started laughing, while Harry looked at me bewildered.

"What the fuck?" He muttered, clearly confused.

"Come on, the truth is every single girl wants to poke those dimples and mess with your curls." I said matter-of-factly.

Harry looked behind me to look at Mari. His grin grew wider and the dimples in his cheeks were even more visible. "Would you like a turn?" He said suductively and winked.

"N-Nah I'm good." She stuttered and looked down again. She played with her hair and refused to looked at any of the boys. Harry continued to grin at her, his eyes wondering around her skinny and toned body.

I noticed how uncomfortable Mari was and stepped in front of Harry, trying my best to block his view. "You need to learn how to control your eyes." I said, gritting my teeth against one another. He frowned and looked down at me - curse my tiny frame once again. We were staring into each others eyes, waiting for the other person to move.

"So, who wants to go surfing!" Liam asked excitedly, trying to break the tension.

Harry let out an annoyed sigh and turned around, smiling again. "You sure you wanna surf again mate? We still have to deal with the problems from the last time you went."

I rolled my eyes; it was obvious he was talking about us. "You don't have to go curly, but get out of my way." I pushed him rudely and brushed past Liam and Louis, expecting them to follow me to the surf board rentel shack. I turned around to see them staring at me. "Are you guys going to come, or just stand there and look at me like a bunch of idiots?" Both boys muttered something under their breaths and jogged to my side. I turned back around and led them over there, leaving Mari alone with Zayn, Niall, and Harry. I tried my best to convince myself that she would be fine without me.
