Meeting The King you can tell by my name, I am obsessed with MJ, so in the fan fic, we get to know a little bit more about him.

1. Turning 16

"Honey, wake up! Happy birthday Baby Girl!!!!!" My mom said, shaking me awake. "Mom...let me sleep...I don't care that it's my birthday. I'll be down later." I said, rolling towards the wall. "Get up Megan Irabella! You can sleep when you're six feet under." She pulled the shades on my windows and turned on my light. "Okay Mom! God! Getting up!" My mom had laid a new blue satin dress on my bed. I got dressed very slowly so it was about one before I came down stairs, well I didn't get up until noon so it really wasn't that long. As I was getting dressed I was thinking about my friends back in California. I was wishing they could've came, because the only one who would be there would be the one friend I managed to make here in two weeks, and she didn't even know if she could come. Riley, Hope, Ann, Danae, Dian, Michelle, and Leah, they were My Girls. I missed them. We all lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same school for 15.999 years. Living without My Girls with me is so hard on me, and they hadn't missed one of my birthday parties, but they'd miss my Sweet 16.

I came down the stairs and my step dad rushed over to me. "Look at you! My beautiful princess." He said, wrapping his arms around me. "Thanks Josh." I said. The past few years he'd known me he'd been trying to act like my dad, but I held firm that he would always be Josh to me, never Dad. I looked around and the house looked like it was for an eleven year old. Streamers, a table with a punch bowl, and a big banner on the wall that said 'Happy Sweet 16 Megan!'. I saw my mom with camera, blinding me over and over with her flash. "Okay Mom, going blind over here." She put it up and hugged me. "You're growing up so fast Baby." She said. "Has Dad called yet?" I asked. My dad promised he'd call me every year on my birthday, he missed the past two years, but I was hoping he'd call me on my 16th. "No. Baby, I don't want you to get your hopes up okay?" She said. "Mom, he'll call. Have faith in him." My parents had split up when I was thirteen, and then my mom met Josh. Josh was an okay step dad, though he tried to make me call him Dad since they got married a year ago.

I spent a few hours watching TV with Josh and my mom and then I heard the phone ring. I squealed with excitement. "See??? I told you Dad wouldn't forget!" I rushed to the phone and said, "Hi dad!!!" But, the person on the other end wasn't my father, it was Danae, one of my friends from Cali. "I'm not your daddy! Just kidding girl, but seriously, happy birthday!!!!" She said. The smile on my face dropped a little bit, but I was still happy it was Danae. "Danae! Thanks. I can't believe you called!" I said. "Of course I would call, It's your birthday silly. Anyway, I have a surprise for you." She said. Then the doorbell rang. "Oh. Hold that thought. Someone's at the door." I said. I ran to the door and when I opened it, all my girls ran to me and hugged me. I started tearing up and held them close to me. "Guys, I missed you all so much."
