1. Feeling Alone on Christmas Day

I know I really shouldn't,
Be thinking of you today.
I shouldn't care what you think,
I shouldn't care what you say.

I'm feeling lonely on christmas day.

Ever since the summer,
You've been more cold than warm.
It's a cold winter and I need your fire.
To protect me from the storm.

I really need your friendship.
To help me get by.
I need your support, old friend.
Otherwise I shall cry.

Recently, I shared with you, my secret.
My biggest one of all.
I'm scared of what you think of me,
What if, now, you don't like me at all?

Don't you see, I need your support!
You're the only one I've told.
I need you to be non-judgemental,
I need your love, friend of old.

I felt lonely this Christmas.
So, maybe stupidly, I sent you a text.
I put my heart on the line for you,
Hopeing good things would happen next.

I was wrong. And ignored.
It felt like a stab to my heart.
It felt overly painfull,
Sadness, not any form of art.

Now I feel even more lonely this Christmas.
For I fear you're no longer beside me.
I might cry myself to sleep,
I thought my love for you was the key.
I was wrong.
Now I see.

It's further away you're getting.
And there's nothing I can do to stop you.
I'm really lonely this Christmas,
And you haven't got a clue.

There will be gifts and family and joy.
There will be happiness and love.
I will forever miss you sweetheart.
My Christmas present to you, for peace, take this dove.

Help me. I feel alone.
A sad thing on Christmas day.
I will forever love my old friend.
And that love will never fade.
