Take You

"I could take you home..." I whispered in her ears, our cheeks touching softly. She scooted away slowly, bunching her eyebrows together in confusion, finally nodding with no choice...

7. Thank Goodness...

''Are you up yet?'' I asked Bethanny trying to hold her as long as I could. Her tiny body climbed up into the ceiling after we removed a few tiles so we could fit. Luckily, they were the kind that were hard and stern. My heart raced out of it's ordinary beat. Something only Bethanny used to do to me.

I pushed Bethanny up all the way so she could climb out. I grabbed a chair with wheels that was nearby and rolled it so I could have a lift. Once I got up, the dog chain I was wearing slid off my neck somehow and fell on the floor, making a loud clank against the tiles. It was my lucky chain that my dad had given me. ''Shitttt.'' I cursed under my breath.

''Justin, it's too late. Let's go!'' Bethanny whispered, motioning her hand to hurry and catch up with her. I sighed angrily, and climbed behind her; the little space from the air vent we were now in getting me claustrophobic. I shut my eyes tightly, and tried to self-soothe myself. I went on behind Bethanny, only thinking about getting out fast.

''We don't even know where this leads to!?'' Bethanny muttered; her voice echoing through the vent. ''Sh, they might hear us.'' I mumbled, finally getting silence. At last, we came to a window that was remove-able. Once we squirmed out of the vent, we were in a different part of the building. I looked around and spotted an elevator. That meant we were downstairs in the lobby, where the camera's were.

''Come on!'' I told to Bethanny, grabbing her hand and running out. The breezy air impacted our faces full of sweat and dirt. We ran back to my car, finally getting inside safely.

I looked over at Bethanny who was panting loudly. Her lips had lost color because of the situation I put us in. Her hands were trembling slightly, and she was just staring off into the distance, shocked. ''Bethanny...'' I paused having trouble with my breath, ''I'm so sorry I had to put you thr-''

''Don't be Justin. I had alot of fun today. Probably the most fun I've had in a while. I may have had a near-death experience but it was worth it.'' Bethanny said, as her lips crept into a smile. I licked my dry lips, and smiled back as she continued her sentence, ''And....why did you take me out? You've only known me for a couple of hours.''

I swallowed the lump in my throat. ''You're pretty cool. And fun to hang out with. Don't...don't you feel the same way?'' I answered. Bethanny nodded at me; her hair falling down her cheeks. She pushed her bangs behind her ear and leaned in for hug. For a second, I thought she was going to kiss me. It's weird with Bethanny. I don't usually start thinking about dating when I see a girl. But with her, I just wanted to get right to the point.

I held her tightly, smelling her coconut scented hair. I sniffed, weirding her out. She pulled back and giggled quietly making me melt inside. I put the key in the ignition, turning it for power. I heard the engine start, so I drove Bethanny home. I think we'd had enough fun for today. And Scooter and them would probably be waiting for me. Nobody eats breakfast for almost four hours.

''And again, thanks for taking me out today. I probably won't have as much fun with anyone.'' Bethanny confessed, smiling at me. Her eyes glistening in the sun, just staring at my own. I took in a shaky breath and got out the car, walking over to her side. ''Here.'' I said, handing her a little note with my number on it. Not only did I know where she lived now, but I also was going to have her number.

She smiled looking down at my hand. Bethanny took the paper and placed it in the pocket of her shorts. ''Thanks for everything. And thanks for almost getting us killed. Appreciate it.'' She sarcastically said. She got up on her toes and kissed my cheek. Her soft lips gently brushed against my skin for what seemed like hours. I blinked repeatedly and pulled her into a hug before letting her go.
