Take You

"I could take you home..." I whispered in her ears, our cheeks touching softly. She scooted away slowly, bunching her eyebrows together in confusion, finally nodding with no choice...

4. Good Things Gone Bad.

I chuckled nervously, not knowing what to do next. We'd already spent a long time together. I was just taking her to places that seemed like she would have fun at. I decided to find out a little about her, so I asked Bethanny a couple of questions. ''So, do you have any siblings?'' I croaked, breaking the silence. Her angelic voice spoke to me.

''U-Um no, I live with my brother. My parents um...'' Bethanny said, coming to a stop. I could hear her struggling to spit out the ending of the sentence. ''It's okay. I get it.'' I said quickly so she wouldn't have to tell me the whole story. I did get it. Her parents died. I could tell in her eyes. The way her words got tangled in her throat. The way her face changed expressions each second she got closer to telling me the truth about her parents.

I didn't think Bethanny would open up to me. I was just taking a chance, but she did and it surprised me.

Bethanny sniffled the tears that we're five seconds away from coming out. She shook her head resisting the urge to faintly cry. ''They died. A-and my brother is rarely home. It feels like...I'm living alone sometimes. But I guess, whatever God does, there's a reason.'' she said, coming to a silent whisper.

Her hand let loose of my own; the cold air impacting my sweaty palms. I frowned, only barely noticeable. I shouldn't have brought up that topic. ''So you do have siblings?'' I answered not trying to be funny but she laughed. I smiled at her when she looked up at me at last. Her gorgeous eyes beaming in the light rays. My stomach exploded with bombs. She was beautiful. Really beautiful.

My ears came across a cute giggle she let out. ''Your painting is beautiful. Why don't you paint anymore?'' Bethanny asked. I cleared my throat getting ready to answer, but we heard an unfamiliar sound. On every corner of the seperate room we were in, there was a light that flashed repeatedly. Bethanny and I soon came to the conclusion, that it was the fire alarm. My heart dropped to my stomach as I focused on locating the nearest exit.
''Justin, what's going on?'' Bethanny asked worried. I shook my head unable to answer her question. I didn't even know what was going on. I took her hand and led her out the door where there was a hallway with many other doors. I hated to admit it, but I was lost. I didn't know which door we came in through. I tried to hide my emotions and acted like everything was fine.

''I think it's this door.'' I muttered pulling Bethanny with me. I opened the knob and there was a room with computer screens and cameras. Bethanny bunched her eyebrows in confusion. I was guessing we were in the security system room. My eyes were glued to the screen as I saw about four to five men in black mask.

''J-Justin, is this....is this a robbery!?'' Bethanny said, raising her tone. Her tiny hands gripped onto my arm making me preoccupied.
