17. Chapter 17

"Isa, Isa wake up!" a stern voice pulled me out of my calm dreams. "Ugh, let me sleep" I groaned, rolling over and burying my face in the pillow. "Now! Arthur Weasley is hurt!" they whisper shouted, and I realised the voice, McGonagall. I instantly sat up, grabbing my wand as I climbed out of bed. "I'm coming, I'm coming" I said quickly, waving my wand so I was clean and dressed in something new. "What happened?" I asked as we raced down the stairs and met with Harry and Ron. "It'll be explained once we get to Dumbledore."

I nodded and we pretty much jogged to his office, not needing to say the password to the gargoyle. The entire office is lit by candle light and Dumbledore is sitting behind his desk, he sees us enter and smiles. "Professor.. ah!" he trailed off when seeing Harry. "Potter has had.. a nightmare" McGonagall informed. A nightmare, this is what this is about? "It was real, Professor! I swear. I saw a snake attacking Mr. Weasley! A giant snake!" Harry exclaimed. "How did you see it, Harry?" Dumbledore asked quickly. I don't get it! It's only a nightmare! Hang on, what was that addition to mind reading? Oh, yes, memory seeing.

I forced my way into Harry's mind, observing his memories. I quickly left, not being able to stand Arthur being attacked. "He was the snake Sir Dumbledore, he bit Arthur. It looked pretty real" I explained. "Did you?" Dumbledore asked me, and I just nodded. "Was Arthur seriously injured?" he asked, looking back to Harry who exclaimed with a "yes!" Dumbledore paused and thought, it's impossible to read his face, and Harry's face is of panic. Dumbledore turns to the the closest portrait, Everard. Did you know I can read the portraits minds too? It's pretty cool.

"Everard! The man has red hair. Make sure he's found by the right people" Dumbledore ordered, "right away" he replied, and disappeared. Dumbledore turned back to us and looked to McGonagall "Professor, please alert the other Weasley children. I'm sure they'll want to know what's happened to their father." "Of course, Albus" she replied, then quickly left. Ehh, this is boring. I zone out until I see Ginny. "Harry.." she almost whispered. "Ginny!" I whisper exclaimed, tackling her in a hug.

"Listen; Your father has been injured in the course of his work for the Order of the Phoenix. He's being moved to St. Mungo's Hospital" he explained, then turned to McGonagall, "Umbridge is aware you're out of bed. Minerva, head her off -tell her anything but the truth." As soon as the words are out of his mouth, she's gone. "This is a port-key that will take you all to the house. Everyone gather 'round and grab a hold" Dumbledore said, holding out a black kettle, "ready, one, two, three!"

The feeling of using a port key is horrid, though unlike Harry and the Weasleys, I land on my feet; not my bottom. I look around, and immediately recognise number twelve Grimmauld Place. Sirius picks Harry up off the ground, "dad!" I squeal, jumping on his back. "Is mum here!?" asked Ginny. "No, she doesn't know yet. Dumbledore will take care of that. The important thing is you're all here, away from Umbridge" Sirius replies. "Are you ignoring me?!" I whisper, mocking hurt. "Ignoring who? I don't see anyone" I could literally hear him grinning. I put my hands over his eyes, and rested my chin on the top of his head.

"Oh no, they've blinded me!" he said dramatically, "I'll just have to sit down now" he added, walking backwards to the couch, "no!" I squealed in a midst of laughter. "Oh, so they speak. Voice sounds familiar. Harry?" he asked, prying my hands from his eyes. "No, I'm not Harry!" My laugh began to erupt fully, filling the room with an angelic sound. "Laugh sounds familiar! Isa!" he exclaimed, dropping me on the couch, then turning to face me. I instantly noticed the mischievous look on his face, and my eyes widened, "don't. You. Dare." But yeah, he did dare. He jumped beside me, and began to tickle my sides.

"No- sto-" I couldn't finish my sentence, as my laughter became full. "Enough!" I managed to get out. "Aw, okay" he said with a fake sad pout. "Nuh-uh, I'm ignoring you now, this is a serious situation" I folded my arms over my chest, and glared at the wall. "So are we going to St. Mungo?" Ron asks. "No, we wait" replied Sirius. "Wait? That's our father!" said Fred. "Listen to me, all of you. Your dad has been seriously injured no more than five minutes ago in service of the Order. No one should know" Sirius tried to reason. "Who cares!" exclaimed George.

Rolling my eyes, I turned to face them, "listen! We can't draw attention to the fact that Harry's having visions of Voldemort's actions. Your dad is in the best care possible. There's nothing you can do, for now. What you need to do is stay calm. You need to relax. And wait" I said, still glaring. Ginny is in tears, George looks frustrated, and Ron just stares blankly at Harry. I sit next to Ginny, rubbing her back soothingly. A while later, we're given a mug of hot chocolate each, and we sit around the fireplace. No one speaks, or makes any sound for that matter. The Weasley children are lost in thought, seconds away from breaking down in tears, and Harry looks mindlessly off until Sirius sits next to him and breaks the silence.

"You alright?" he asked. No one else can hear this, as they're on the couch, but I can hear it. Lycanthropy. "It was me.. I bit him. And.. I wanted to do it. I wanted nothing more than to bite him.. Sirius, what's happening?" Harry asked frantically. "No, listen to me, You didn't do this. If it wasn't for you it would of been hours before they found him, and then it'd be too late. This is not your fault" Sirius said somewhat soothingly. "But, how come I saw it? I'm going mad. I've been seeing things.." Harry trailed off. "I don't know how this is happening, Harry. I wish I did. But you have to trust yourself" I said over my shoulder, earning confused looks from everyone.

"Molly's back" I said calmly, taking a sip of my hot chocolate. "How do you-" Ginny began, but I cut her off, "mind. I've been watching for hers." Oh no.. I just realised, they don't know! The front door opens and Molly steps in, all eyes shoot towards her. Her eyes are puffy, she's obviously been crying hard. "He's going to be alright" it seemed like everyone was holding their breath until that was said. A tear falls down George's face, as with Fred's, and Ginny rushed forward in tears to embrace her mother. Slowly George, Fred and Ron go to their mother. I sit there smiling as they embrace each other, and I just watch them.

Molly turns to Harry. he gets up and walks towards her and she embraces him as much as her own son. Tears fall down her cheeks, "thank God for you, Harry! I don't know what would of happened if it wasn't for you!" she sobbed. Harry can hardly stand her gratitude, as he still feels responsible. 'It's all my fault, I'm the one that bit him. I'm responsible for this, it wouldn't have happened if Voldemort had of killed me the first time. Maybe I should let him'. "Harry Potter! Don't you dare think that again!" I barked, earning confused looks. "I'm a mind reader" I mumbled. "What?" asked Ginny. "I'mamindreader" I said really quickly. "Mind reader?" Ginny shrieked. "Yeah, but don't tell anyone" I winked at her a split second before she tackled me to the ground in a hug, surprisingly not spilling my hot chocolate.

"Right, then. Who's hungry?" asked Sirius, and we all raced to the kitchen, where a black envelope addressed to me was sitting on the table. I slowly grabbed it, then walked to my room, feeling everyone's eyes on my back. The moment I got to my room, I closed my door and sat slowly on my bed. With a deep breath, I opened the letter, pulling the light grey parchment out.

Isadora Black,

I couldn't help but be amazed by your performance in my headquarters a while back, you're intelligent, and definitely powerful. I know of your abilities, the mind reading, future seeing, veela. Even your lycanthropy, but I'm willing to make you high ranked. I'm offering you a place in my ranks. It's either that, or your little friends will pay for your mistake, you have one day.

Malfoy Manor, second floor, biggest doors.

You know who I am, I'd like to hope.

I let a tear roll down my cheek, and placed the letter on my pillow so I could get changed. I grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans, and a tight black tank top, putting them on after my underwear and bra. I slipped on a pair of black leather knee high boots, and tucked my wand into the right one. Turning to the mirror, I grabbed a black hair tie. I watched as my hair tuned pitch black, straight, and finished at my waist, my eyes turning the same greyish colour as Sirius'. I became pale, and lost the little colour in my face. I walked over to the full length mirror and grinned, I like this look, sure; not being what Voldemort wants me to be, but this as a daily thing.

"Isa! We're going to visit Arthur, hurry up!" Sirius called up the stairs. I closed my eyes and took a few breaths in and out, then opened them again, and began to put on some mascara, eyeliner on my top lid, bottom lid, and water line. I then pocketed the letter, and grabbed my black over the shoulder bag. As I went down the stairs, I checked my bag for the necessary things. "Draught of Peace; ten phials.. Felix Felicis; seven phials.. Chocolate Frogs.. Chocolate Frogs?! Oh well. Veritaserum; two phials.. Phone.. Deluminator.. Photo album.. Dunno why that's in there. Hmm, lets see.. Money.. Seems to be it!" I made sure I had on all my jewellery, I know the protection doesn't work, but the jewellery means a lot to me.

At the bottom of the stairs were Snuffles and Skittles, so I crouched down to their level. "I'll be back soon, I'll miss you both. Stay here, and be safe" I said sadly, tears forming in my eyes. Snuffles whined, and Skittles meowed quietly. I read Snuffles thoughts, 'she's going longer than she's making it out to be'. I looked at Snuffles apologetically, "yes boy, I am. Sorry, I love you both" I tried to smile; but I couldn't.

"Come on Isa, we have to go!" Molly called down the hall. "Just a moment!" I called back, then stood up and went to Sirius; enveloping him in a massive hug. "I'll miss you. I love you, dad" I whispered into his ear. "I love you too, but hey, with the 'miss you' part, you're only going to the hospital" he raised an eyebrow at me. I just gave him a half smile and ran off, putting my bag over my shoulder. If only he knew. At the hospital, I trailed behind Molly, her kids and Harry. With every step, I slow down, then race to the floor with the Floo Network on it. I grabbed a handful of Floo powder, then throw it down as I say my destination, "Malfoy Manor!"

I come out of the other fireplace elegantly, not getting dirtied at all. I smile, but then I remembered why I'm here; and frowned. I'm doing this for family, friends. Not for me, for Sirius, Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny, the twins, Tonks, all of them. I look up, and realise I'm in Merlin knows what room. I exit the room, and see a front door. Right, first floor then. I pull out the letter, "second floor, biggest doors" I mutter, then put the letter back and walk up the marble stairs. This place is so eerie, gloomy. I found the biggest doors, and stopped in front of them, drawing my silver wand for extra measures. Both my silver wand, and this golden wand are loyal to me, so it's hard to choose which one to use. I usually take it in turns.

I walk through the doors, not bothering to knock. They're sitting at a long table, like last time. With a roll of my eyes, I put my wand in my boot, and raise an eyebrow at Voldemort. "Hello" I say sarcastically, and everyone turns to face me as I walk towards them with confidence. I notice Draco, Lucius, Narcissa and Bellatrix. Bellatrix?! Oh, the breakout at Azkaban. "Long time, no see" I said nonchalantly. "Ah, family!" I say, looking at Lucius and Narcissa. "Family?" asked Narcissa. "Narcissa Malfoy 'nee Black. My last name is Black. We're first cousins or something, I don't know" I roll my eyes, and sit in an empty chair near Voldemort, then turn to face him.

"You wanted me?" "Yes, I offered you a place in my ranks. Surely you read the letter?" "Of course I read the letter, I'm here, aren't I?" I rolled my eyes at him, earning myself a scowl. "Right, come here, and give me your left arm" he growled. With a roll of my eyes, I faced forward, then morphed one onto my left inner forearm. "No need!" I chirped, holding it up. "You didn't have one before, how?" he almost whispered. "I thought you knew this! I'm a metamorhmagus" I grinned, then lost interest as they began speaking about something that I don't have a clue about.
