15. Chapter 15

I groaned as I slammed the book shut and began to bang my head on the table lightly. I have found nothing, absolutely nothing, about what Dumbledore told me a while back. He had told me to read about some sort of magic called Magwill, and I've no luck in this library. I've gone through twenty one books since Christmas break had begun, and today was Christmas. I should be having fun, not reading, I thought angrily at myself. The librarian, Madam Pince, looked at me worriedly, "you alright, dear?" she asked.

"Uh.." I paused, thinking about it, -I even looked up at her and froze- was I alright? No, obviously not. But, maybe I am. No, my head is sore and I have no answers, "not really" I answered honestly, then went back to banging my head on the table. She hurried over to me, "why must you keep doing that? I don't want you to hit your head too hard.." she said sternly, and I stopped, sitting up right and looking at her. "Because, I'm annoyed" I said firmly, a serious expression the whole time. "Why?" she asked curiously. "Dumbledore told me to look up some sort of magic in a book called Magwill, or it's a type of magic.. and I haven't found a thing! Plus, it's Christmas, and I'm not having fun. Actually, I'm willingly in here. That, and there's a few more things he told me to search for" I groaned, slouching.

"Magwill. He told me it's a word, well, a book title. But it's not a type of magic dear, it's got loads of different information on different magic in it. You've been reading the wrong books dear, let me go grab it for you" she said, then scampered off deep into the library. I stared after her in shock for some reason, and she soon came back with a large book. "Here you go, I hope you find what you're looking for" she said, then handed it to me and hurried off. I ran my fingers over the book cover, 'Mind Magic At Will'. Interesting, Magwill, ha, what a word. No wonder I couldn't find it.

I flipped open the book, landing open at the contents page. I quickly scanned it in search of what he told me to find.

Contents -By Page, Not Chapter-

I. Mind Reading At Will

II. Future Seeing At Will

III. Shape And Appearance Changing At Will -Metamorphmagus-

I stopped there, I only need the top two, and reading all thousand and two doesn't seem very fun. I flipped to where the first chapter is, and began to read.

Mind reading at will is a rather rare occurrence, and is known in very few witches and wizards. It is not to be confused with Legilimency. When one chooses to read another person's mind, the person being read; does not know. Often, the mind reader as said, will accidentally listen in on someone's mind. That is, until said person is able to control their ability. The training is rather complicated, and only two have been successful at completing the training and having full control over their ability.

They are also capable of reading past thoughts, as well as recent thoughts. They can also see their memories as well, though if they do not know what memory they are searching for within the persons mind, the strongest memory will be seen by the mind reader. It is rare for a mind reader to seek memories, as they only search for a memory when they need to know the truth of a specific moment.

The mind reader may consider this a horrible lifestyle, or an amazing one. Mind readers may hear things they don't want to, or see memories that mentally scar them. The mind reader will also be able to know people's feelings when reading the mind. The abilities of the mind reader come at age sixteen, and remain forever with them.

I sighed as I finished reading the page, the.. short page. I skimmed through the future seeing one, and didn't find anything all too interesting, but it's useful. I tapped the books with my wand, and they all began to fly towards their correct places. I grinned as I stood, and began skipping over to Madam Pince. Dumbledore had said that I am both of the two things, which I reckon is pretty cool. "So, found what you were looking for?" asked Madam Pince. "I sure did!" I chirped. "Ah, yes, you should talk to Dumbledore, tell him what you've found out" she suggested.

"I will, in a moment, it's peaceful in here" I smiled happily, then grabbed the closest book to me. I read the cover, 'Alice in Wonderland'. "Hey, this isn't a magical book, is it?" I asked, staring at the gorgeous cover in awe. "Nope, it's a muggle book. You should give it a short read before you go to Dumbledore" she said, going to her own book. "Will do!" I said happily, then opened to the first page. I slowly began to read, then had an idea.

The book said that the person who's mind is being read, doesn't know about it. I glanced at Madam Pince, then back to the book. How was I supposed to do this?! Hm, maybe if I force my way into her mind. I began to force my way, but it wasn't working, my brows furrowed and I frowned. Nope, doesn't work that way. Alright, think, just think. Oh, I know! It said, mind reading at will, so, maybe if I will myself to read her mind. Yeah, that sounds about right.

'Immoderately she weeps for Tybalt's , and therefore have I little talk'd of love; for Venus smiles not in a house of tears. Now, sir, her father counts it dangerous that she doth give her sorrow so much swat and in his wisdom hastes our marriage, to stop the inundation of her tears; which, too much minded by herself alone, may be put from her by society: now do you know the reason of this haste.'

I gasped aloud at hearing her thoughts. She looked up at me, "something wrong, dear?" she asked curiously. "Uh, no, nothing. Nothing" I said all too quickly. "I must be going to Dumbledore now" I said, putting the book down and rushing out. The last I heard of her thoughts were, 'strange, strange child.'

I pretty much ran to Dumbledore's office, and quickly stopped at the gargoyle. Well, I almost ran into the gargoyle. Oh no, I don't know the password. Hang on, can the gargoyle think? Uh.. It's worth a shot. I bet she doesn't know the password is Sherbet Lemon. I raised my eyebrows at it's stupidity, "Sherbet Lemon" I said in a firm voice, with a smirk on my face. It rolled it's concrete eyes, and the stair case began to spiral up.

I quickly jumped up to the step for it got to high, I really can't be bothered with climbing a flight of stairs. As soon as the stairs stopped moving, I was in front of a door, in which I obviously knocked on. I'm not rude enough to just barge in. "Come in!" Dumbledore called out. As soon as I opened the door, I sprinted over to Dumbledore. "Ah, I've been expecting you" he paused and looked up at me from behind his glasses, "found what I told you to find?" he asked excitedly, a twinkle in his eyes.

"Yes!" I squealed. "Knowing you, you've probably already tested it" he said, looking back down to his book. "Yes! On Madam Pi-" I stopped mid sentence. "Keep going" he urged. "Madam Pince" I muttered, though he heard me. "Ah, and did it work?" he looked back up at me again. "Yes, it did!" I said, jumping up and down lightly and clapping my hands. Maybe I can look into Dumbledore's head.. Yeah.

'Such a brilliant young girl, no wonder Voldemort wants her on his side.. I'll have to do my best to keep her on the good side, keep her with the Order- Why is she looking at me like that, is she- No, she can't be, but maybe she is. Yes, yes, she is. Isadora, stop reading my thoughts please' I gulped and pushed myself out of his mind, then looked around the room. "That's very good Isadora, it seems so easy and natural to you" he complimented. I whipped my head back around to look at him, "thank you sir Dumbledore" I looked at him curiously, "why does Voldemort want me on his side?" I asked, completely and utterly clueless.

"Take a seat, and I'll explain" he said, gesturing to the seat on the other side of his desk. I quickly sat, and looked at him expectantly. "See, Voldemort wants you on his side, because of your rare powers. He himself knew of your mind reading abilities, and your future seeing ones too. Well, he knew you'd get them. He knows that you're a Metamorphmagus too, as you made a clear example of that. He likes your intelligence too, and thinks of you as useful. He doesn't know of your lycanthropy yet. Now, I'm going to apparate you to your father's place, so you can spend Christmas with him" he explained.

"Oh, well, I promise you I'm not going to go to the dark side. I'm not one to follow vile men. Alright, I was going to ask you if you could apparate me there anyway.." I smiled, then stood and took his arm, where I then felt the familiar sensation of going through a tube.
