1: Bieber

All I could hear in my head was that one name. It felt like I had been forced to hear it replay in my head for years.
Bieber. Bieber. Bieber.
It never stopped and perhaps it never will...
It always brought trouble, yet it always brought happiness..
Will it ever end?

21. Chapter 21

I felt Justin fidget beneath me as I forced him to stay put. I didn’t want him spazzing out on Ryan or giving in. He growled under his breath as I smiled up at Ryan, who was fuming.

“What’s going on?” he managed to choke out.

I laughed inside of my head before slowly getting off of Justin and sitting up. “I just couldn’t sleep.”

“So you slept on top of Justin?” he asked sarcastically.

I heard a chuckle come from Ryan Butler, who was now raiding the fridge. Justin also tried to hide his laughter.

Well, maybe his bed isn’t comfortable.” I retorted.

Justin quickly got up from the couch and ran into the kitchen with Ryan Butler, leaving me to handle this myself. Thanks Justin…

“If the bed I get in a hotel isn’t comfortable, I don’t just go sleep on top of the manager instead!” he laughed angrily.

I smiled a little bit and shook my head. “But you do realize that I’m not at a hotel.”

Ryan squinted his eyes and glared at me. “Obviously, smart ass. But why are you even here then? Don’t you have your own house?” he questioned.

“I did, until I got kicked out.” I frowned.

He cocked his head to the side. “Why’d ya get kicked out, kid?”

“I don’t know. My mother just completely switched around, she’s not the same because of what happened on her and my father’s business trip I guess.”

“Where was the trip at?” he scratched his head.

I tried to think for a moment. “I think in like California.”

“When?” he asked.

“About a week ago…” I answered. “I can’t help but notice that your mood has completely changed.”

“I’m just wondering.” he snapped. Well that wasn’t long, I thought.

I nodded bluntly before joining Justin and Ryan Butler in the kitchen. They were laughing hysterically about something while drinking beer.

I shyly walked up next to Justin and leaned on the counter behind us. He broke off from the conversation with Ryan and snaked his arms around my waist, which sent a flurry of butterflies off in my stomach. I absentmindedly rested my head on his after he had rested it on my shoulder.

Ryan Butler smiled widely and made kissy faces at us. I stuck my tongue out at him. Justin, however, chose to smack him in the face, before reconnecting his arms with my waist.

“You didn’t have to slap him.” I laughed.

Justin let go of me so he could look me in the eyes. “He was making me mad.” he smiled.

I smiled in return.

“Hey, I’m right here!” Ryan waved his hands in front of our faces, causing laughter to emit from the both of us. Then, Ryan Good joined us. He had a smug look on his face, even though he didn’t seem too angry.

He grabbed a beer from the fridge. “Hey kid, you want one?” he smirked.

I was reminded of the event where Chaz almost raped me after he had offered the same thing “I’m only eighteen.” I snapped, also remembering that I had said the same thing to Chaz, which made me shiver.

Justin frowned. “So what?”

“Yeah!” Ryan Butler jumped in. “I’m only twenty and Justin’s only nineteen, what’s the big deal?”

I sighed. “I just don’t want any.”

“It would be fun to get you drunk.” Justin smiled wickedly.

I shot him a glare. “No effing way.”

Ryan Good shut the fridge door with a laugh.

“Can you just try some for me baby? It’ll be part of our bad-ass-Peyton day.” Justin asked

I crossed my arms and looked away from him. “I don’t care. Don’t call me that.”

He frowned again. “Fine.”

I looked over at Justin, who was now pretending to be hurt. I swear, and I know I’ve said this before but, he will be the death of me.

I slowly closed my eyes and opened them again. Then, I grabbed Justin’s beer out of his hand, taking a giant swig of it. His eyes widened for a moment, then returned to their normal state after I had swallowed it.

“There.” I mumbled before walking off to Justin’s room. I heard a few shouts coming from the kitchen as I lay myself down on Justin’s bed.

I smashed my face into the pillow when Justin walked in.

“I’m sorry.” he said. “I shouldn’t have pressured you into that.”

I lied there motionless, not acknowledging his existence.

“C’mon Peyton.” he walked over to the side of the bed I was on, only to have me roll to the other side dramatically.

Justin laughed. “Okay I get it.”

I took my head out from the pillow to give him a glare. “Whatever.”

I heard him sigh loudly. Then, I felt him pick me up and put me over his shoulder.

“Justin! Let me down!” I shrieked.

“Nah, I’m good.” he chuckled.

I started banging my fists on his back in hopes that I would be put down. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Instead, he took me down some stairs and threw me on a big sectional.

“Justin!” I yelled again. “What the hell!”

He smiled before putting both of his arms on either side of me. I looked up at him knowingly, then crossed my arms and turned my head.

“No kissing. I’m mad at you.” I stated.

He creased his eyebrows and frowned. “I said I was sorry.”

I pretended to think. “Hmm, I don’t really care. I’m still mad.”

“Please…” he whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

I swear I could’ve melted right then and there, but I kept my cool. “Nope.” I whispered back to him.

Suddenly, he pushed me down. “I said, please…”

I leaned up to his lips and as I was about to connect mine with his, I smiled and quickly got up from the couch and ran up the stairs.

When I reached the kitchen, I took shelter behind Ryan Butler.

“Hey!” he protested.

“Shh, I don’t want Justin to find me.” I laughed quietly.

“I’m not just a human shield!” he whined.

“Shut up.”

“No.” he argued and stepped out of the way so I was in full view to Justin. Justin smiled and grabbed me again, throwing me over his shoulder once more.

“Ugh Justin, what are you doing?” I asked.

He put on his Black Supras and opened the front door, waving goodbye to both Ryan’s. “I’m taking you to school.” he chuckled.

“Like this?” I lay loose over Justin’s shoulder, finally giving up.

“Unless you want to stay over my shoulder in the car, babe”

I thought for a moment. “Put me down please.”

He set me down gently and I looked up at him. “And don’t call me that.”

He frowned before getting into the Range Rover. I followed and he drove off. It didn’t take long to get to the school; it was only a few minutes away from his house. But when we were parked in front of it, I realized that we didn’t have a plan.

Justin put on a pair of sunglasses and put his hood up. He looked over at me and seemed to notice my discomfort with the idea all of a sudden.

“What? Now you’re just going to be a pussy and back out?” he spat quite harshly.

I rolled my eyes at him. “No, I’m just wondering what smart and amazing plan you have.”

He licked his lips and rubbed the back of his neck. “Uh,”

“That’s right, you don’t have a plan do you?” I snapped while opening the car door beside me. “So I’m going to be a ‘pussy’ and ‘back out’. I’ll also be finding somewhere else to live, thank-you-very-much.”

I hopped out of the car furiously and slammed the door behind me. As I proceeded to walk up to the front doors, I noticed a figure stand up from behind a bush.

When they drew closer, I noticed who it was.

“Are you freaking serious?” I yelled, throwing my head backwards. “Not again!”

Chaz laughed evilly. “This school just lures you in.”

I glared at him.

“What better place than school, to find you at?” Colton walked up out of nowhere and stood beside Chaz.

I crossed my arms. “Look, I’m not in the mood to play your little game right now.”

“Why? You and your boyfriend fighting again?” Chaz sneered.

I frowned. “No. He’s not my boyfriend.” I lied

“And neither are you two so I’d suggest that you leave her alone.” Justin startled me from behind. I turned around to see his pitch black eyes and very tight jaw.

“Well isn’t it nice to see you again Justin!” Colton smiled “How have you been?” he stuck out one of his hands.

Justin ignored him.

“Why are you guys here?” I spat to Colton “Can’t you just leave me alone?”

Colton laughed. “Oh not until you’re dead, sweetie.”

“And when will that be?” Justin shouted. “Oh yeah! Never! Because you’re never laying a finger on her ever again.”

Justin grabbed my waist and pulled me behind him.

“Just stay put, okay?” he whispered to me.

I was still ticked off at him for getting all moody and pushing me away again, so I shook my head and stepped out in front of him.

“No.” I yelled, making the entire group jump a little bit. “I’m not just some random girl that you can fucking baby all the time!”

“Aw, someone’s mad.” Colton smiled wickedly. “Now. If you two would stop fighting like an old married couple, I’d like to try something out.”

Justin and I both gave him a confused look.

Then, suddenly, Colton grabbed me and held his hand over my mouth to muffle my screaming.

“What the hell! Let go of her!” Justin yelled.

Colton ignored him and held his grip on me. Chaz, however, reached for something out of his back pocket and pulled it out.

Justin’s gun.

Have you been looking for this Justin?” he laughed and Colton turned me so I was facing Chaz, but still under his hold.

Justin’s jaw clenched shut. “You better fucking knock it off, or--“

“Or what?” Colton asked.

“Or nothing!” Chaz laughed and before Justin could speak, he pointed the gun at me.

Are you serious? I thought, letting out another shriek.

“Stop!” Justin yelled, clearly helpless.

“I heard this special gun of yours never misses a shot, am I right?” Colton asked angrily.

“I’m not telling you anything.” Justin spat.

“Well, you’ve told me before, so, I say we try this out, shall we Colton?” Chaz said.

“Don’t--" I could see the pain in Justin’s eyes as Chaz raised the gun at me. Just as he was about to fire it, however, the front doors of the school flung open to reveal a freshman. He looked terrified.

“Principal Whitman!” the kid yelled. “I knew I heard fighting!”

Colton immediately let go of me and Chaz accidentally dropped Justin’s gun on the ground. I wanted to go over to Justin and just fling my arms around him to feel safe, but in reality, he didn’t even do anything to help me.

He stood his ground as well, staring in the direction where Colton and Chaz ran with his dark, black eyes.

The front doors swung open again and out came the Principal of the school, Mr. Whitman. The first thing he seemed to notice was the gun on the ground, and he flipped.

Peyton Barillas?!” he yelled. “A gun! I cannot believe you!”

“Sir, I--“ I tried to protest.

“You are expelled! You could have hurt innocent students!” he screamed before dramatically storming back into the school.

I frowned and turned to Justin “Thanks for your amazing help and support.” I spat before trying to walk away.

He grabbed my wrist. “You’re welcome babe.” He smiled, letting go. Then he lit a cigarette, grabbed his gun, and walked off to his car, getting in.

And sadly, I followed.
