1: Bieber

All I could hear in my head was that one name. It felt like I had been forced to hear it replay in my head for years.
Bieber. Bieber. Bieber.
It never stopped and perhaps it never will...
It always brought trouble, yet it always brought happiness..
Will it ever end?

20. Chapter 20

It was about three in the morning and I was sitting on the couch, in the living room, by myself. My whole body shook from the eerie chill that filled the room. I thought about getting up and retrieving a blanket from Justin’s room, but I didn’t want him to get all worried about me.

Truth is, I wasn’t used to this and I felt like it would be hard to get used to. Not seeing my family. Just staying at Justin’s place with him and Ryan is going to be hard.

I mean, it’s not like I wasn’t warming up to Justin or anything. ‘Cause in reality I was warming up to him. I’m falling for him.

I rested my head on the arm of the couch and closed my eyes briefly before I heard a noise come from the hallway. A light flickered on to reveal Justin standing in the entrance.

I craned my neck around to look at him. By the way he rubbed his eyes and yawned loudly, I could tell he was sleepy.

“Why are you out here?” he groaned and I shrugged my shoulders. He studied me for a moment before speaking again.

“What? Couldn’t sleep?”

I nodded absentmindedly, not really knowing what to say. He rubbed his face with his hands once more then he walked over to sit with me.

I inched away from him as soon as he sat down.

Justin eyed me suspiciously and yawned. “What’s wrong?”

I sighed in response, leaning against the back of the couch.

“You ask a lot of questions.” I whispered.

He licked his lips. “Well, maybe it’s because I’m worried.”

I frowned and decided to leave it at that. Justin, however, kept pushing the situation further.

“Seriously, what’s up?” he asked.

I shrugged yet again. “Nothing, I’m fine.”

“Tell the truth.” he spat in a whisper.

I sighed rather dramatically and threw my head backwards. “Well it just feels weird. Everything that’s happening…” I confessed.

He nodded, urging me to continue.

“I guess I’ll have to get used to it because I’ve been kicked out of my own family and I don’t even know why.” I emphasized the ‘why’ with sarcasm. “And now I’m a subject to danger because everyone’s going to think we’re together and everything.” I mumbled.

Justin tilted his head a little, giving me no response.

“I also miss my best friend. Even though I’m a complete jerk for not choosing to stay with her.” I added.

He creased his eyebrows together and opened his mouth as if he were going to argue with my reasons, then decided not to.

“To sum everything up, I’m scared, confused, lonely, and sad.” I let a single tear fall from the corner of my eye but hid it by using my hair as a curtain before Justin could notice.

I heard a sigh emit from his lips, and his tongue slide out to wet them.

I frowned and turned my head to look at him. He had his head down and he was pulling at the ends of his hair rather hard. I thought for a moment before grabbing his wrists and taking his hands off of his head. Justin shot me a confused glare.

“Shh.” I put my index finger up to my lips. Then, I gently grabbed his neck and brought his head down onto my lap. He tensed up for a moment before bringing his legs up, so they could rest comfortably on the couch.

I stroked my fingers through his hair. “I know what you’re thinking.” I said.

He rolled over so he was now looking up at me. “What?” he asked.

“You’re blaming my feelings on yourself.” I explained. “More or less, you’re blaming everything that’s been happening on yourself.”

His eyes shut. “It’s hard not to.”

“But it’s not, Justin. You have to realize that you’ve done absolutely nothing wrong to me. I mean sure, I’ve judged you in the wrong way before, but that’s the past. You’re the only person who makes me feel safe right now, and I appreciate that.”

“You said you felt lonely though.” he groaned. “Why? That has to mean I’m doing something wrong.”

A feeling of guilt washed through me. I now realized how much I liked this boy, and how much I wanted to help him get over this stage and back to his normal self, even though I’ve never actually experienced his ‘normal self’. I leant down and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

“You’re not doing anything wrong.” I whispered as I pulled away.

“One more.” he moaned softly into my ear as he pulled me down for another kiss. I awkwardly accepted his request, molding our lips together. He didn’t seem to mind, though, as he continued to move our lips in sync.

I pulled away slightly and smiled. Justin smirked before pulling me down again, this time, flipping us over so he was hovering over me.

As things grew hotter, I broke the kiss off to say something. “What are we doing?” I laughed.

Justin smiled like an idiot and moved off of me. He motioned for me to get up for a moment, and then brought me down onto his lap. Fireworks exploded in my stomach as I leant my head on his chest to hear his heart beat.

It was beating as fast as mine, which had to mean something, right?

“Justin, what’s happening?” I wondered out loud.

“Lots of things, good and bad.” He sighed. “Just try to sleep. And don't have bad dreams. Then your problems will be gone for at least a couple hours.” he recalled his mother’s words.

I frowned. “I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep.”

“I don’t know. It’s Monday and I have school.” I made an excuse. “And I don’t have any clothes or anything.”

Justin chuckled. “You’re such a girl.” he said, and then added: "And you don't need clothes..."

I looked up at him and stuck my tongue out. He did the same, which made me giggle. “But seriously. What about school?”

“Well if you don’t want to worry about it anymore…” he trailed off.

I glared up at him. “Justin… What are you planning?”

“Isn’t there only like a month of school left and then you graduate?” he asked.

I nodded.

“Well I know someone who can teach you anything you want, and you can always go to college after that.”

“Are you suggesting that I drop out of school?” I gasped playfully.

He laughed. “No, I’m suggesting that you channel your inner bad bitch and get kicked out of school.” he winked.

I winced at his choice of words, and then decided to shrug it off because it was only Justin being Justin. “Hmm.” I thought.

Justin licked his lips as he waited.

“You know what? Let’s do it!” I said, rather cheerfully.

His eyes grew wide with surprise. “You’re serious?”

“Yes! Remember when I said I wanted an adventure? Well this will be the first part of it.” I beamed.

He smiled, leaning down to my ear. “Can I be a part of your adventure baby?” he whispered.

I felt a flurry of butterflies in my stomach. “Maybe you can be the last part of it.” I laughed quietly which made him frown. I apologized, wanting to see his smile again.

“Well if we’re going to get me kicked out of school tomorrow then I have to sleep.” I added.

“Then get up.” he said.

“Because we can’t fall asleep like this out here.” he laughed. “Ryan Good comes early and if he sees us like this…”

I pushed him down and placed my head on his chest again. “So what? I don’t want to be play-it-safe Peyton tomorrow.”

He shook his head and ran his fingers through my hair. “Whatever you say, bad ass Peyton.”

I laughed and slowly closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of Justin’s fingers twirling around in my hair.

Next thing I knew, it was morning, and we were greeted by a fairly angry and cranky, Ryan Good.
