1: Bieber

All I could hear in my head was that one name. It felt like I had been forced to hear it replay in my head for years.
Bieber. Bieber. Bieber.
It never stopped and perhaps it never will...
It always brought trouble, yet it always brought happiness..
Will it ever end?

17. Chapter 17

Peyton

I woke up with stinging eyes and a headache. Justin was nowhere to be found, which kind of freaked me out when I first woke up. It’s been a few minutes since I did, though, so I was just kind of sitting in his bed doing nothing.

I sighed with exhaustion as I threw the sheets off of me and shuffled into the living room. Someone crashed into me, squeezing me tightly. I groaned as they let go and I looked around.

In front of me was Justin, who had just hugged me randomly. And on both couches were both Ryan’s. How ironic, I thought as my head pounded. Ryan Butler was smiling like an idiot and Ryan Good was giving me the death stare.

“You look horrible,” Justin said and I rolled my eyes. You’re sweet Justin, but my head feels like it’s going to explode.

I forced a small smile and managed to say something. “My head hurts.”

Justin frowned. “I’m sorry. Want any painkillers or something? Or water?”

I made a drinking motion with my hand and he nodded.

“Why don’t you sit down?”

Surprisingly I made it to the couch without falling over. Justin brought over some water and I gladly snatched it out of his hand, taking a big gulp of it. Both of the Ryan’s were still looking at me all weird. They don’t like me.

I whipped my phone out from my back pocket. ‘New message’

From: Faith

Hey, are yah in America yet?

This made my head pound even more. I had to think of something clever to say, but I couldn’t think of anything at the moment.

To: Faith

Uh, no I actually didn’t leave. And I’m busy right now so I gotta go… Bye!

I quickly tucked my phone away again and looked up. Everyone was looking at me now, including Justin, who looked confused.

“Who was that?”

I shrugged. “My friend Faith.”

Justin nodded and turned around, heading for the kitchen. I wanted to follow him to get out of the awkward situation I was in, but Ryan Good spoke up.

“Uh, Peyton is it?” he asked me.

Justin stopped rummaging through the fridge for a quick moment, and then returned to the activity, listening in on the conversation taking place.

I nodded cautiously.

“Yeah well,” Ryan started again. “If your parents are experiencing issues and you were supposed to leave with your father last night, don’t you think it would be a good idea to go talk to your mother? Maybe explain why you didn’t leave with him.”

I always had this feeling that Ryan Good wasn’t fond of me. This was one example of it too. He forced Justin to tell him what was up and now he knows everything and is trying to kick me out.

I rubbed the back of my neck. “Um, yeah I guess?”

He started to smile, and then quickly hid it. Justin slammed the fridge door and walked over to us. “I’ll take her home.” he spat angrily.

My head pounded as I tried to force a smile. Justin shot a glare at Ryan Good before storming out the front door.

I followed and said goodbye to Ryan Butler. I then turned to Ryan Good and said, “Sorry to cause such a disturbance in Justin’s house.”

I joined Justin in his Range Rover and he quickly sped off towards my house. He didn’t speak to me at all; his eyes were only fixed on the road. His dark, mysterious, eyes. Just about the opposite of his dreamy, caramel, ones.

We arrived at my house within about fifteen minutes because Justin took some random long way there. “Ryan just likes hating doesn’t he?” I asked.

Justin shrugged with stiff shoulders.

As much as I didn’t want to waste my energy on talking, I hated seeing Justin all freaked out, so I decided to do something about it.

“He doesn’t really like me.” I shook my head dramatically and looked down. “The other Ryan likes me though!” I looked over at Justin who was still stiff, with black eyes.

I unbuckled myself and continued talking. “I know who else likes me too…”  I scooted closer to him and he stiffened up even more.

“You like me don’t you Justin?” I stroked his cheek carefully with the back of my hand “I don’t care if Ryan Good doesn’t like me… At least you and Ryan Butler like me… right?”

He nodded a tiny bit.

“Stop worrying about him…” I continued “Maybe pissing him off would be fun some time? Like you could tell me when he’s over and stuff… Then we could--” Justin cut me off.

“Shut up.” he smashed his lips onto mine with want. It surprised me at first, but then I smiled and kissed back. He tugged at my hair gently which, for some odd reason, caused me to gasp. Justin took this as an opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth and I did the same. It went on like this for what seemed like forever, and then he pulled away.

I frowned slightly. Then I remembered that we were still parked in front of my house. I smiled like an idiot and Justin smirked. “Bye Justin.” I laughed and exited the car. He waited until I reached the door before driving off.

I sighed nervously before walking in and seeing my mother on the couch, talking to some random guy. I wrapped my arms around myself before speaking.

“Hi.”

She turned her head to look at me, then back at the guy, then back at me again. “Oh, it’s you.” she growled.

“Yep… It’s me…” I shifted on my feet.

She mumbled something to the man before walking up to me. “You are not welcome here.” she whispered angrily. “You should’ve left with your father, but no, you snuck out like the bitch you are!”

My heart stung at the choice of words.

“He’s already in America with all of his things. And now look at you, all alone. Homeless, even.” She crossed her arms. “Go get your things and leave. Now.” She pointed her index finger up the stairs.

I nodded sadly and jogged up the stairs to find all of my things packed away in boxes. Where the hell am I going to take these? I thought before deciding to leave them there and sneak in later to grab them.

I hopped out of my window and let a few tears fall. Maybe I should text Faith… I sat down on the grass under the big tree and took out my phone.

To: Faith

Sorry for being kind of bitchy earlier, I was tired.

I also decided to text Justin.

To: Justin

Mom kicked me out.

I waited patiently for each of them to reply. But after about an hour, I got no reply from either of them.

I decided to shrug it off and close my eyes.

Eventually, I fell asleep.

*Colton’s POV*

Everything is slowly falling into place. I watched Peyton and Justin get comfortable with each other. I watched the fallout of her family. And now I’m watching her, slide down on the tree to sit on the grass instead of packing her things.

“Chaz, you can be a complete idiot sometimes, but I admire you for the tremendous work you’ve helped me with.” I whispered to Chaz.

He grinned. “Well, it was mostly your ideas.”

I shrugged in agreement. My best idea was the most recent one. Where I followed her parents along on their business trip and hooked each of them up with other people. Now, they’re divorcing, and the girl is a wreck. She went to Justin for help and soon, they’ll be the target couple.

“Who do you think she’s texting?” Chaz asked quietly.

I squinted my eyes to see her. She was indeed, on her cell phone, texting away. “I don’t know. Justin maybe, does she have other friends?”

“I only know Faith.” he whispered.

This caused a light bulb to go off in my head “Faith? Are they really close? Is that the friend she was going to tell everything to the other day?”

Chaz nodded. “Yeah, but I think she’s been ignoring her lately to talk to Justin, or go to his place.”

“That's good.” I beamed. “This, this is perfect”

I smirked. “C’mon, we’re going to find that little friend of hers and tell her everything.”

“But I thought you didn’t want,” I glared at Chaz before he could finish. He nodded and we both got up quietly to walk to the car.

This should be the start of something good.
