1: Bieber

All I could hear in my head was that one name. It felt like I had been forced to hear it replay in my head for years.
Bieber. Bieber. Bieber.
It never stopped and perhaps it never will...
It always brought trouble, yet it always brought happiness..
Will it ever end?

15. Chapter 15

I rummaged through my clothes and glanced at my phone again. The time read 8:06. What if he forgot? I thought as I pulled out a really nice shirt that I had forgotten about. I held it up to my chest as if I were going to put it on, then I tossed it on my bed with all of the other abandoned shirts.

With all of my energy wasted on picking a shirt to wear, I flopped down on my bed and scrolled through my twitter. 8:10Well he is Bieber. I mean he probably has more important things to do.

Then my phone lit up. ‘New text message’.

From: Justin

I’m here. Sorry I’m so late :( Got caught up in other stuff

I smiled at how he was so worried about being late.

To: Justin

Its okay, come up to the front door I’ll unlock it for you.

I chucked my phone at my pillow and raced down the stairs. Thankfully, nobody was home. My parents went out for dinner after grounding me, and my brother got to go to his friend’s party. I’m not sad though, I always sneak out when I’m grounded, and now I actually have a good reason to sneak out.

I quietly turned the lock and opened the door to reveal Justin with his hands in his pockets. My heart started to beat ten times faster than before when he smiled at me.

“Hi.” I said, out of breath.

“Hey.” he smiled.

“Come in.” I pulled him in and shut the door behind him. “Nobody’s home.”

“What, you wouldn’t have pulled me in if people were home?” his eyes glinted playfully.

I sighed with a smile. “Well I’m grounded, so it probably wouldn’t have been the best idea.”

He laughed. “Sneaking out?”

“Yeah.” I looked down. “I’m not even ready though.” I gestured to my outfit.

Justin lifted my chin with two of his fingers and looked into my eyes. “You think I care?”

I tilted my head to the side with confusion.

“You always look beautiful, I hope you know that.” he said with a serious voice.

My cheeks became a bright shade of red and I turned my head to hide it. Justin chuckled behind me.

“You’re not normally this shy with me.” he laughed.

I whipped my head around to look at him again. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Well all of the other times we’ve been in the same place together you’ve been pretty bold.” he smirked. “Breaking the rules and all,”

All I could do was smile like an idiot. “I guess. Let’s go!” I opened the door and ran down to his Range Rover. He laughed and jogged after me. We both hopped into the car and Justin started it.

“Where are we going?” I asked.

“What makes you think I’m telling you?” he said as he sped off down the road.

I opened my mouth to argue, but shut it quickly as I had decided against it. We drove for a while in an awkward silence where we occasionally exchanged a few words. Finally after about a half an hour we arrived where Justin had planned to take me.

I unbuckled myself and quickly jumped out of the car to see the place. I suddenly became confused, as I had a different idea of where we were going in my head. Justin walked up and stood next to me.

“Surprised?” he asked.

I looked over at him. “Tim Horton’s?”

He nodded and grabbed my hand, dragging me inside the place. Once inside, he brought me to a table near the back of the restaurant.

“I used to come here all the time.” he smiled as he sat down in the chair opposite of mine.

I licked my lips and looked around. “To be honest I’ve never been here.”

He widened his eyes. “Really?”

I giggled. “Really. Plus, I didn’t expect you to take me here.”

“I told you I was going to show you that I’m not everything that people say I am.”

“Then tell me about you.” I smiled playfully.

Justin smirked. “I said show, baby”

I sighed. “It was worth a shot wasn’t it?” He smiled and asked if I wanted anything. I told him just to bring back whatever he was getting. I waited patiently for a few minutes before he returned with two drinks.

He handed me mine before taking a sip of his. “Taste it.”

I brought the straw to my lips and swallowed. Surprisingly enough, it was awesome. “This is really good.” I said as I twirled the cup around to look at the label.

“I have to agree.” he smiled. “But, now we got to get going to our next stop.”

“Next stop?” I echoed with confusion.

“Yeah,” he exclaimed. “You didn’t think we were going to just one place did ya?”

I smirked in response. Justin laughed and jogged out of the building while I followed. But he didn’t go to his car… He let me chase him down the sidewalk, into an alleyway, and over a long stretch of grass which led to a small pond. Justin had slowed down a little before I arrived at the pond. When I did arrive, however, he was nowhere to be seen.

“C’mon Justin.” I let out a small laugh as I steadied my breathing. The hair on the back of my neck pricked up when I heard the crunching of sticks on the ground behind me. Then, two strong arms wrapped around my waist and Justin rested his chin on my shoulder. I pretended to ignore it as I took a sip of my drink, even though it felt like fireworks were being set off in my stomach.

Justin and I stayed in that position for a while, enjoying the pleasant silence between us. “This is nice.” I whispered.

He let go of my waist and moved over to stand beside me. “You really think so?”

I nodded with a smile.

“So am I still just a ‘killer’ to you?”

Instead of answering, I grabbed his hand and laced our fingers together. For a quick moment he tensed up, and then became relaxed again.

Justin wrinkled his eyebrows with confusion.

I giggled. “No, I don’t think you’re just a ‘killer’ anymore.”

His face lit up with happiness which made me smile. I leaned the side of my head on his shoulder and breathed a faint ‘thank you’.

“For what?”

“For caring about me.” I replied.

Justin sighed with relief, saying no words.

Maybe falling for him isn’t such a bad thing… I thought.
