Family? Friends? Aren't they supposed to be there for you? Behind my smile is a hurting heart. A heart that wants to be loved. I have no family. Except for one person. Who I haven't talked to in ages. Liam Payne. The only family I have left. But how can a depressed, lonely girl fit in with 5 famous pop-stars? I'm invited to go on tour with Liam and the rest of his band. I don't have anywhere else to go, so I say yes. I really don't fit in with the rest of the band. I smoke. I drink. And I don't think they like that. also cut, but they don't know that. I have tattoos one in paticular catches everyone's eye. This is a story of Love... Loss... And Hate. But one thing I refuse to do is... Sink.

1. Two Weeks

I was sitting on my window sill debating on calling him or not. Fresh bruises forming around my thighs and my left eye. I looked over at the picture hanging on the wall in my room. I was so happy. I threw a pillow at it sending it falling to the ground, shattering into a million pieces.  I dialed the number. I hope it's still his.

"L-Liam?" I asked, through tears. My curly brown hair was pulled up in a messy bun. My bright blue eyes were flowing with tears.

"Piper? Is that you? What's wrong?" Liam asked, concerned.

    "N-never mind." I said.

I was about to hang up, but Liam yelled, "Wait!" I put the phone back up to my ear. "What's wrong Piper? You haven't talked to me for two years."

"C-can we meet up for coffee s-sometime?" I asked, straight forward.

"Yea, of course. Just tell me when and where."

"Starbucks on Fleet Street. Two days. I'll see you in a couple of days." I said. "Oh, and Liam?"

    "Come alone."

I know it's horrible to not give more explanation. But they won't understand. No one ever will. I'm alone. How am I supposed to trust anyone. Family? Friends? Aren't they supposed to be there for you? All I ever want is to be loved. But who's ever going to love a depressed, lonely girl.

I sat at the corer table of Starbucks. A Moche Frappe with no whip sat in my hands. I was in a long-sleeved crop top that said 'Take It Easy', a pair of leather black pants, and studded lace-up platform booties. My belly button ring was clearly visible. I had a Batman ring in. It was fairly empty. I heard the bell ring over the door and a few girl scream.

I knew that was Liam. I think, he signed a few autographs and took a few pictures because soon the screaming stopped and he sat in front of me. I put a lot of makeup on my left eye to cover up the bruise.

"I told you to come alone." I stated, never taking my eyes off the big glass window to the left of the table. Wow, Liam look different. We both do.

"W-what are you talking about?" Liam asked, shocked.

"I don't have to turn around to know you brought someone. He's a buff man. Tall. Short brown hair. And green eyes." I stated. I didn't have to turn around to know that. I don't know why, but that's always been a gift of mine. I finally looked at Liam. "On other notes. Puberty sure hit you hard, Payne."

Liam chuckled. "You haven't talked to me in 2 years." Liam said. "Why did you call?"

"Wow, someone's eager. Liam," I put my hand on top of his. "I'm leaving. I don't know where i'm going, but I can't stay in London anymore. Maybe i'll go stay in Scotland for awhile." I'm originally from America. My mother was half Scottish and half American. I'm British/American/Scottish.

"W-what do you mean? You can't just not talk to me for two years and then tell me that you can never talk to me again." Liam nearly yelled.

"You just don't understand!" I said, throwing my hands up in the air. "I don't have anywhere to go. I know a lass up in Scotland that said I can stay with her for a while."

"You can stay with me! Just don't go, please."

"You still don't get it. I've done things that i'm not proud of. Things that people like you despise."

"I don't know what you have done, and I don't know if I want to, but just come stay with me. Just for a little while."

    "I-um-I don't know." I said. I thought for a moment. "Two weeks. That's how long i'll stay."
