Too Far Gone (Sequel to Louis Doesn't Have To Know)

(This is a SEQUEL, I strongly reccomend you read my first movella, Louis Doesn't Have To Know, otherwise you will be very lost whilst reading Too Far Gone)

Heartbreak. Sorrow. Regret. That's all Sophie feels anymore. Louis is filing for divorce and she can't do anything to stop it. But she made the mistakes right? She was the one who cheated after all, with his best friend and bandmate no less. She doesn't even know if her daughter is really Louis' or not. What does this mean for Louis and Liam's friendship? Will One Direction break up? Can Sophie convince Louis that she can change? CAN she change? Or is everything just...Too Far Gone?

(AGAIN, read the first book please. You won't regret it!)

2. Disappear

He's gone.

Roll the blunt.

He wants a divorce.

Light the blunt.

He doesn't love you anymore.

Put on the roach.

You fucked up Sophie.

Take a hit.

You really fucked up.

Another hit. And another. And another. Pretty soon Sophie's mind finally shut the hell up. She felt like she was flying as the marijuana took it's effect. She leaned her head back on the leather couch in her now almost empty living room. Louis had already taken most of his stuff and moved it to his new place next to Harry's flat. That was a week ago, right after he was released from Royal London Hospital. It had been ten days since he had said those dreaded words to Sophie.

"I want a divorce."

Sophie looked up at the white ceiling and watched the fan spin slowly. Why did it keep spinning? It was so pointless, just going and going but never really getting anywhere. But wasn't that what Sophie's life was like? She kept screwing up but never stopping. The only difference was she'd started spinning out of control slowly. Then instead of stopping, she'd increased the speed. It was a very simple chronology of events:

It started with a date with Louis four years ago back in America.

She agreed to move to London with him.

She cheated on him by kissing Liam.

She started a secret relationship with Liam.

Louis proposed and she accepted.

She broke things off with Liam and married Louis.

She slept with Liam while she was married.

She got pregnant and let Louis think he was the father even though she had no idea.

She screwed up and Louis found out about her four years of lying and cheating.

Now Louis wanted a divorce and she was sitting in their old living room, twenty three years old, a mother and soon to be ex-wife, smoking weed to make her conscious shut up.

See? Simple.

Niall had called countless times, as had Harry and Zayn. Sophie's sister Ashton had tried to visit but Sophie had just screamed in her face to get the hell out of her house, so now Ashton was staying at Niall's flat until Sophie was ready to see people. Lilly was staying with Louis' mother in Doncaster as Louis moved into his new place; they were supposed to figure out a custody agreement for their four month old soon. Whether or not Louis was the biological father, he has been raising Lilly through Sophie's pregnancy and since her birth, so he is her father to Sophie and to the court system.

Liam hasn't contacted Sophie yet, per her request. He calls Niall, Harry, and Zayn every day though to see if they have any news about her. He also tried to visit Louis once but when his mate answered the door with a baseball bat and a very sinister, "Get the fuck out of here, Payne," Liam decided it would be best to give Louis his distance.

The fate of the band was still up in the air. It didn't have to be discussed quite yet though, as they were technically on vacation for another month and a half. Management hadn't even called yet, which was odd.

The media was going crazy though. Word of the impending divorce had leaked out somehow, and they were harassing Sophie and Louis endlessly, another reason they had sent Lilly to Louis' mum's house. The reason behind the split up was still unknown to the media so far, and for that everyone was thankful.

Sophie took another hit and held it in as long as she could before finally exhaling the smoke. She watched the tendrils weave in and out of the air before they disappeared. She wished she could do that; just disappear. Or better yet, go back in time and fix everything. Be with Louis and never look twice at Liam any other way than as a friend.

But she couldn't do that. Louis wanted a divorce, and Liam would always make her heart melt no matter how much she wanted to hate him for being a part of what caused her marriage to fall apart. That was another reason she had asked Liam to stay away from her: Sophie knew that she was weak and would fall into his arms again at the slightest nudge. She desperately wanted everything to just be different. But that was impossible.

The control that she used to have over her life was gone. Too far gone.
