Beautiful D i s a s t e r

Scarlett Elouise "Elle" Fosters is your regular everyday 16 year old girl. She has your normal everyday dreams. To fall in love, get married, and have a family. Those will just have to wait however. At the young age of 13, her mother and father both abandoned her and her two younger brothers, Dusty and Reef. Ever since she has been fighting to keep them together, her only source of money being her uncle. He gives them $500 a month but that always goes towards the boys. Oh hold on, she also has a one year old baby girl, but that was due to the fact that she was raped. She has all the good grades, the looks, and the good attitude. Everyone in the school looks up to her as an idol, not knowing of what happens behind the scenes. Behind locked doors and closed screens, she's been to juvy 21 times, charged for stealing 45 times and breaking and entering 12 times. Can a simple curly headed singer change her life?

2. Back story: Elle (Part 2)

Birds chimed outside the window and chirped like they usually did. The sun brimmed over the window still and hit my face. I let out a soft growl, turning over and letting out a crowd of yawns. My eyes fluttered open about a million times before I actually "woke up". I sat up and looked around, giving my side a scratch. I sat there staring at the floor for a good few more minutes before actually standing up. I took a breath and put a smile on. I made my way into the kitchen and turned the old stove on to make breakfast. After getting the eggs, bacon, and pancakes made I went into the room Dusty and Reef shared.

"Wake up boys. Time for breakfast." I said and shook each of them in turn. Dusty turned in the bed and yawned, spreading his morning breath. Gross. Reef cracked his eyes open, the pupils dilated as they adjusted. They fixed on me and turned cold.

"I don't want to get up. Go away." he said ever so coldly. My eyes widened. He just told me to go away. I took a deep breath and faked a smile.

"Reef Cole Fosters. Get up. Now." I said through gritted teeth.  He only rolled his eyes and turned back over in bed. I stood up and rubbed my temples, mumbling to myself. By this time, Dusty was already up and making his way to the kitchen.

"Reef, one more time. Get up." this time I threatened him.

"Make me." he hissed out at me. Make me? Oh I'll make him. I bent down and grabbed him by the ear, yanking up and causing him to yelp in pain.

"Ow! Elle? What's wrong with you? Let go of my ear!" he screamed at me. I looked down at him as he kept his head close.

"You said to make you get up. I'm only doing as you asked." I said simply and made our way to the kitchen. I let go of his ear when we reached the table, figuring he got the point. His hand immediately rushed to his reddened ear to check for any damage. Dusty was only snickering as he ate his bacon. Reef shot him a dirty glare as he looked from Dusty to me. I shot him a weird look and walked off to my room. I grabbed a pair of white skinny jeans, an old and faded Aerosmith shirt that hung loose on my tan shoulders, and my essentials.

"Elle! Dusty wants to know if he can have whipped cream on his pancakes." Reef called to me.

"Yeah, but don't use too much." I shot back and entered the bathroom. I washed up rather quickly, not wanting to waste too much hot water. When I got done, I dried off and put the clothes on, applying a bit of make up. My make up was given to me by Gigi's mom who was a cosmetic seller at MAC. I only used light blush, eye liner, and lip gloss. My hair was naturally wavy so I just had to dry, brush, and part it the right way. I smiled in the mirror and winked at myself.

"Sexy." I said with a smile and left the bathroom to go check on the boys. When I saw the boys, Reef was gone, a note on my door said that he went on ahead so he could be at school early for the field trip. Dusty was playing with the Buzz Lightyear and Woody toys.

"Ready to go bud?" I asked him and patted his head. He only nodded as Woody and Buzz were fighting over the right to go to Show-and-Tell. I sat my dirty clothes into their pile and grabbed my things, picking up my hand me down purse and slipping on my rugged converse.

"Let's hit it." I said and was at the door when Dusty ran out with Woody and Buzz in his hands. I'm guessing they tied. The school was only about two blocks away from the house so the walks weren't that bad.

We reached school at bell time, I managed to get Dusty to school on time. I on the other hand, was late by a minute.

"Oh come on Mr. Johnson! I was right about to sit down!" I pleaded with my homeroom teacher.

"I'm sorry, Elle. Gotta play right with everyone. Tardy." he protested and marked in his little red book. I only sighed and laid my head on his desk. Great. The rest of the day went by and I managed to ace my Algebra II test, US History, and Personal Finance test. The bell rang promptly at 3:15 p.m. When the doors opened, it was like letting a group of lions escape after three weeks of starvation. I managed to catch Gigi before she went home, making sure she was still set on watching the boys while I went to the doctor. She said she would and I thanked her before going to see Dr. Tanner. This time I used a cab to get to the doctor's since walking would be too far. I arrived at a small and cozy looking building, pictures drawn by small patients hung around the place in neat little rows. I took a seat in the waiting room, grabbing a People magazine and reading it.

"Elle Fosters?" I heard my name being called and looked up to see the nurse. I smiled and placed the magazine down , standing up and going to follow the nurse. She took me to a back dim lit room, the walls painted a happy jungle scene as to not make the place seem like a death chamber.

"Doctor Tanner will be with you in a moment." she said with a smile as I sat down on the table. I swung my legs and looked around, noticing the tools and what nots. Right when I was going to play with the Stethoscope, the door creaked open and in came Dr. Tanner.

"Hey, Elle. What's the problem?" he asked with a sincere smile.

"My stomach seems to always be bloated and it hurts really bad." I told him and rubbed over my stomach. Dr. Tanner did a number of examinations and asked loads of questions. it had been around an hour and thirty minutes since the start of the exam.

"I'm afraid I have bad news." he said point blank.

"What's wrong?" I asked him, my body nervous.

"Your pregnant." he said and looked at me with eyes full of sorrow. I looked down and was silent, my legs still and my breathing lessened.

Pregnant. Pregnant. That word rang throughout my body like an echo. I was having a baby.

"How long till I'm due?" I asked with my head still down.

"Still nine months. I'm going to say October 15th." he assured me and patted my back.

"You'll be a good mom." he said before leaving the room. It took me a few extra minutes to process this information, running everything through my head.

Fast forward Nine months later and on October 15th, I was blessed with a healthy baby girl. Reagan Nicole Fosters. Move on to one year later and this is where the real story begins.
