Heartless -Harry Styles Love Story-

"Stop!" I yelled as I tried to push him off of me. He pushed down harder onto my small body. "Get off of me!" I yelled again. He ignored me and then tried to tape my mouth. "Somebody help me!" I yelled just in time before he ripped off a piece of duck tape and then very harshly put it on my mouth. I punched his stomach and he hit me. Hard on the head. Then everything went black. I couldn't see anything. "Hey!" I heard someone scream. "Get off of her!" Then I heard a loud rustling sound like two people fighting. Then it went silent. Someone picked up my torso and started to lightly shake me. "Wake up!" A man said. "Please wake up." He continued for about 5 minutes. "I need to get you to a hospital. Everything will be alright." He said and then picked me up in his arms and carried me. -©Copyright 2012-

3. Chapter 1

-RING!-           I looked up from my book, The Last Song. To answer the phone.           "Hello?" I said into the phone.          "Come down town to the park." Kayla whispered into the phone.           "Why?" I asked in an annoyed tone.           "I found another house."           I sigh. "Fine. I'll be there in 5 minutes." I said and then hung up the phone.           I closed my book and put it on my dresser. Then I grabbed my converses and slipped them on. I grabbed my cellphone and slipped it in my purse. Then I walked out the door. I made sure I locked the door before I left. I walked along the side walk as the moon light shinned. I flung my hood on and continued to walk in silence. As I walked I heard a couple noises behind me. I stopped in mid step and turned around to see what it was. There was nothing there. I quickened my pace. Then I approached the park. Kayla was leaning on the park bench that was by one of the street lamps.            "So where is this house?" I asked her when I was in front of her.            "It's a couple blocks down main street." She said and then took out a cigarette and started to light it. I took it out of her hand and snapped it in half.           "What did I tell you about smoking?" I said in an aggravated tone and then started walking.           "Sorry." She said very sarcastically and then followed behind me.            We continued to walk until we came to the house.            "Is this one it?" I asked while pointing at a big red house.            "Yep. The Swenson's just left for the winter for vacation. And they are the richest people on this street so I'm sure there is something good in here for us." She said with a positive attitude.           "Let's check it out then." I said and then slowly walked to the back side of the house. I looked around to see if anyone was watching us or if anyone was outside. There wasn't any sight of anyone.            "Give me the crowbar." I whispered to Kayla. She reached her hand in her bag that she was carrying by her side and pulled out the small black metal crowbar and handed it to me. I easily inserted it in the small crack in between the door and the door frame. Then I wiggled it as hard as I could to pry the door open. After a couple of minutes of wiggling, the door finally opened. I handed the crowbar back to Kayla and she put it back in her bag. I pulled out my small flashlight from my purse and turned it on. Then we quickly slipped inside. Careful not to make any noises. I moved my flashlight around in front of me so that I know where I was going. The house wasn't that vacant. It looked as if they never left.           "Let's check up stairs." Kayla whispered to me.           We then walked up the stairs as quietly as we could. But every time we stepped on a stair, it would let out a small screeching noise. This house was an old one. Very old one. When we got to the top of the stairs I pulled my gloves out of my pocket and slipped them on so that I wouldn't leave any finger prints on the door knob. After I put my gloves on, I carefully opened the door and revealed a huge room. I moved my flashlight around the whole room to get a look of the whole room. There was a big bed in the back of the room in a corner. It was perfectly made. and then there was a closet off to the side. I started walking towards the closet.           "Check in the closet." Kayla said to me in a loud whisper.           "That's what I'm doing." I replied back with a whisper.           We walked up to the closet and slowly opened it. When we opened it... MEOW! A cat jumped out at us.           Kayla let out a loud screech. I just gasped.           "It's just a damn cat!" I yelled to her. "Now be quiet."           "Fine." She said.           I pushed open the closet door more so that I could get inside. I flashed my light towards the top of the closet. There was a small box on the top shelf of the closet. I tried to reach it but I was too short. And Kayla was shorter than me so I know she wouldn't be able to get it either.            "There's a box up there on the top shelf. But I can't reach it. Give me a boost up." I said to Kayla.            "Okay." She said and then she got down on her hands and knees to form a stool. I lightly stepped on her back and tried to reach for the box again. I reached on my tippy toes and I just barely touched the shelf.           "Hurry up and grab it." Kayla hissed. "You're hurting my back."            I reached up a little more and knocked the box down and into my arms. Then I fell down on top of Kayla.            "Oww!" Kayla let out a scream.           "Sorry." I whispered. "I fell."           "It's alright. Let's get out of here." She said.           Then all of a sudden we heard a loud crash of glass from down stairs.           "Shit!" I whispered. "C'mon we gotta leave now." I said to Kayla. Then I got up and ran over to the window and opened it. I looked down and there was a big bush there.            "We can't just jump out of the window?!" She said.           "We have to come on!" I said and then stuck my feet out of the window. I held the box tightly in my hands and jumped into the bushes. My legs ached a little as I got up and started running across the street. When I got across the street I waited for Kayla to jump down. After she jumped she limped over to where I was standing. Then we both ran as fast as we could back to my house. It took us 10 minutes until we reached my house. We didn't look back once. When we got to my house I quickly unlocked the door and ran, Kayla right behind me, and then I locked the door with both locks.            "That scared the living shit out of me!" Kayla yelled and them plopped down on the couch in the living room and let out a moan of pain.            "Do you think it was that cat that made that sound from down stairs?" I asked curiously as I sat down next to her on the couch.            "Probably." She replied and the gripped her lower leg with both of her hands.            Then I remembered the noise that I heard when I was walking to the park. Was someone following us? I thought to myself. The thought of someone following us sent shivers down my back. No one could have been following us. I didn't see anyone there. I shook the thought off.            "What was in the box?" Kayla asked me and then pointed to the box that was in my hands.           "I don't know. I didn't have time to check." I said.            "Then let's check now." She said and then grabbed the box from me.           "No!" I yelled.           "What?" She asked in an annoyed tone.           "What if there's a bomb in there?" I asked, worried.           She rolled her eyes and then started to open the box slowly. I started to get scared as she took off the lid of the box. I looked inside and then all the worry went away.
